HUMPHREY
Martin O. "Marty" Humphrey, 51, of Iberia, died May 13, 2003, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.
He was born in Rolla on February 10, 1952, a son of Norman Merle and Eleanor Prue (Abbet) Humphrey.
He worked for the Waynesville R-6 School District for 26 years until his retirement. After his retirement, he enjoyed working on his farm near Iberia and worked part-time for the Soil and Water Conservation Service.
He was a member of the Iberia First Baptist Church and was faithful in Sunday School and church attendance. He was a member of the Iberia and Waynesville Masonic Lodges.
Survivors include: his mother, Prue Humphrey-McKee of Waynesville, one brother, Randy Humphrey and wife, Julie, of Willard; and two nephews, Clint Humphrey of Columbia and Adam Humphrey of Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16, at the Iberia First Baptist Church. Rev. Glen Golden will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation or the Iberia First Baptist Church.
MANN
Nell Lee Mann, 82, of Dixon, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003.
She was born December 28, 1920, in Dixon, MO.
She worked as an LPN at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis for 33 years.
She is survived by 3 sons: Ernie Hansmann of Dixon, Virgil Lee Mann of Pacific and Stephen Mann of St. Louis; 1 daughter: Margie Locke of St. Charles.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wed., May 14, and 12-2 p.m., Thurs., May 15, 2003, in Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thurs., May 15, 2003, in the Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon, with Chaplain Stephen Mann and Father Walter Reisinger officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Dixon Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, or charity of the Donor's choice.
McHENRY
Mrs. Mary Lee McHenry, age 79 years, of Jefferson City, MO, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at the Beverly Health Care Center.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. McHenry under the direction of Freeman Mortuary and will be announced at a later time.
SCEARCE
Mrs. Louise Scearce, 84, of Plattsburg, MO, died Sunday, May 11, 2003 at the Clinton Care & Rehab Center in Plattsburg, MO.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1918 in Converse, MO.
Survivors include 2 sons: Dr. Robert L. and Dinah Scearce of Jefferson City, MO, Charles P. Scearce and Michelle Hanson of Mobile Alabama; 2 grandsons: Charles P. Scearce Jr. of Rapid City, SD and Andrew Scearce of Houston, TX; 1 brother Bill Parks of Smithville, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the First Christian Church of Plattsburg. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Plattsburg.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Plattsburg.
SMITH
Lucille Kreglinger Ritchie Smith, 87, Stover, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Shinabarger, Independence and Frances Summers, Vasser, Kansas; a sister, Irene Gerlt, Stover; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, at First Baptist Church, Stover. Interment will be in Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

WEIDLER
Marion "Shorty" Weidler, age 69 years, of Topeka, KS, died May 12, 2003 at his home.
He was born October 11, 1933 in Auxvasse, MO, the son of James Cecil Weidler and Mae Mosley Weidler. He was married to Donna J. Lynd on November 16, 1957 in Topeka, Kansas, at the First United Methodist Church.
He resided in Topeka for the past 28 years. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, St. Joseph, MO and Central Missouri Junior College. He joined the United States Air Force. He served as a Pilot 20 years retiring as a Major in 1973 after service in Vietnam. He worked for the United States Postal Service from 1976 until his retirement in 1996.
Immediate survivors include his wife Donna; 3 daughters: Lisa Miller of Lawrence, KS; Kim Weidler of Topeka, KS and Dina Levering of Manhattan, KS; 1 son: Bryan Weidler of Wichita, KS; 1 brother: Bob Weidler of Jefferson City, MO; and 2 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Penwall-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, KS with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka, KS.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

BONINE
Vera Bess (nee Barber) Bonine, 85, of Overland, died May 13, 2003.
She was the beloved wife for 55 years of the late Paul Bonine; dear mother of Phil (Ellen) Bonine of Union, Kay (John) Morrison of Overland, Bill (Peggy) of Olathe, KS and David (Renee) of St. Charles.
Vera was a faithful member of Overland Baptist Church.
The visitation will be Thursday, 4-9 p.m. at Coller's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh in St. Ann.
The funeral will be at Bethany Baptist Church, 11211 Midland in Overland, Friday, May 16, 10 a.m.
The graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, MO. Donations to Alzheimers Association appreciated.
DIAL
Hubert "Hugh" F. Dial, 93, of Sunrise Beach, died Tuesday at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He is survived by his wife: Irene of the home; daughter: Fern Putney; four sons: Carlos, Jim, Dan and Loren Dial; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Sat., May 17, 2003, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie. Burial will follow in Garber Memorial Estates in Laurie.

GARRETT
Fredrick Dale Garrett, age 65, formerly of Fulton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 in St. Louis.
He was born July 26, 1937, in Steedman, MO, the son of the late Lloyd F. and Bessie L. (Taff) Garrett.
He is survived by one sister, Betty Pauly of St. Louis; one brother, David Garrett of St. Louis; nieces and nephews, Mark and Elaine Garrett, Kathy and Mike Scowden, Jennifer and Shawn Snyder, Janet and Rich Schoemehl, Judy and George Reed, Jeff Garrett, and Andy and Donna Garrett.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 17, at 12:00 noon at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Rev. Gary Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
KLINDT
Juanita V. Klindt, 79, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at St. Mary's Health Center.
She was born December 31, 1923, in Bethany, Missouri, a daughter of Garland and Jenne Imogene Carothers Ross. She attended Bethany High School in Bethany, Missouri and was a graduate of the Realtors Institute. She was married August 27, 1941, in Princeton, Missouri, to John E. Klindt, who survives at the home.
She was a Real Estate Agent for ten years. She joined Blue Ridge Christian Union Church in 1948 and joined the Christ Community United Methodist Church in 1999. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bethany, Missouri and was also a member of the Real Estate Association.
She is also survived by four sons: Michael R. Klindt of Bethany, Missouri; Douglas E. Klindt of Cameron, Missouri; David G. Klindt of Bethany, Missouri and Daniel J. Klindt of Jefferson City; one daughter: R. Ann Murray of Jefferson City; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Eva Lee Ross.
Friends will be received from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel, with Rev. John Fordyce and Rev. Barry Hoskins officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. Kathy D. Luikart, age 56 years, of Jefferson City, MO, died Thursday, May 15, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center.
