Rev. Gerald Ivan Nolte, 71, Hermann, MO, died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, MO.
He was born June 25, 1932 in Hudson, KS, the son of William H. and Lizzie Nolte (Nee Spangenberg), who preceded him in death. He was married August 3, 1963 in Femme Osage United Church of Christ, Femme, Osage to Bernice (Hinnah) Nolte, Hermann, MO, who survives. He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, MO.
Other survivors include: daughters, Rita & husband Kenny Hackmann, Morrison, MO, Jill Nolte, St. Peter's, MO; one son, Steve & wife Beth Nolte, Morrison, MO; sisters, Wilma & husband, Richard Byler, Warrenton, MO, Vinita & husband, Virgil Gatton, Stafford, KS, Linda and husband, Bill Warnecke, Marthasville, MO, Ellen and husband, Marvin Engelage, Marthasville, MO; brothers, Ralph & wife, Shirley Nolte, Ozark, MO, Glen & wife, Gloria Nolte, Heber Spring, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, MO. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, Missouri with Rev. Dr. Richard Don, Rev. Joe Trower & Rev. James Konrad officiating. Burial will be at the Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison, MO. The family will divide memorials between charitable organizations of the United Church of Christ which Rev. Nolte supported.
PARSONS
Della "Ruby" Parsons, 73, of Osage Beach, died June 29, 2003.
She was born September 3, 1929 in Marshall, MO to Frances E. and Rosa Mae (Foree) Cobb.
Survivors include one brother: Bill Cobb, Slater, MO; one sister; Mary Marx, Sweet Springs, MO; three step-sons: James Parsons, Spring Valley, CA, John Parsons, State of Maryland, and Raymond Parsons, Independence, MO; five step-daughters: Marilyn Hees and Paula Sestrich both of Eldon, MO, Emma Armontrout, Rocky Mount, MO, Diana Cooper, Russellville, MO, and Janice Burris, St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews, & great nieces & nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 2 p.m. at the Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.
RICHMOND
Ruth A. Richmond, 89, of Fulton, MO died June 27, 2003 at Fulton Manor Care in Fulton, MO.
She was married in 1942 to Booker Richmond Sr. who preceded her in death. She was born October 29, 1913 in Napton, MO, the daughter of William & Ruth (Wright) Webb.
She was formerly employed at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, MO. She retired in 1979. She attended Napton Public School in Napton, MO. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Fulton, MO and a member of Usher Board, Ladies Choir, Willing Workers and United Methodist Womens Group.
Survivors include 2 sons: Booker T. Richmond Jr. of Fulton, MO and Thomas Lee Richmond of Holts Summit, MO; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, 5 sisters, & 1 brother.
Visitation will be held on July 2 from 10-11 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, 720 Westminster, Fulton, MO.
Services will be held on July 2 at 11 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, 720 Westminster, Fulton, MO with Rev. John Marshall officiating. Burial will be at the Southside Cemetery, Fulton, MO.
SNORGRASS
Gordon Linwood Snorgrass, age 82, Tipton, MO, died Monday, June 30, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born October 9, 1920, the son of Gordon Parks and Margaret Hanna Roesler Snorgrass. He was married to Elsie Corine Worley on Dec. 16, 1942.
Mrs. Snorgrass preceded him in death on May 18, 2001. He is survived by two sons: Don Snorgrass and his wife Sharon and Pat Snorgrass; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home in Tipton, MO.
Funeral services will be at at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
SMITH
Geneva Lois Smith, 78, California, MO passed away Monday, June 30, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO.
She was born January 31, 1925 in Ada, Oklahoma the daughter of Rudolph Alfred and Hazel Lois Robertson Joplin who preceded her in death. She was married 1949 in Reno, Nevada to Percy Smith who passed away in November of 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Christian Church in Sedalia, MO.
She was a member of Eagles #4027 Auxiliary, California, MO; American Federation of Women Bowlers and of the Lebanon Baptist Church Nursing Home Sunday School at Moniteau Care Center. She attended school in Ada, Oklahoma.
Survivors include 1 son, Edward Lee Shackleford of Lawton, OK; 1 stepson, Ronald Steven Smith of Springfield, MO; 1 daughter, Mary Elliott with her husband, Sonny of California, MO; 2 brothers, Kennith Joplin of Tyler, TX and James Joplin of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters, Iva Christean of Noble, OK, Linda Joplin of Tyler, TX and Pearley Templeton of Cherokee, OK; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Susie Shackleford in 1986; 1 brother, Al Joplin and an infant sister.
Services will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 9:00 A. M. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Whitney. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2003, 5:00-700 P. M. at the funeral home.

WAGGONNER
Irma Waggonner, 92, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Jefferson City Manor.
She was born August 8, 1910, in Leeper, Missouri, a daughter of Robert L. and Annie B. Capps Sweazea. She was married in 1927 to Edgar F. Perry who preceded her in death in 1931. She then married Hugh T. Waggonner in 1957, who preceded her in death in 1986.
She worked in her home reweaving and repairing garments. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved to spend her time sewing.
She is survived by one daughter: Faye Klosterman of Jefferson City; one step-daughter Mary Ann Sweazea of Mokane; five grandchildren: Marsha Crawford of Centertown, Marlene Davis of Jefferson City, Karen Klosterman of Jefferson City. Dale Klosterman of Jefferson City and Richard Klosterman of Jefferson City; three step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and sixteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Lynn Adrian Perry in 1930 and eleven brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the Houser - Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the Houser - Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Maxwell officiating.

BAKER
Mr. Louis Murl Baker, 91, of Dixon, MO, died, Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab.
He was born June 17, 1912, in Dixon, a son of Jesse C. and Vivian Akery Baker. He was married June 10, 1933, at Vienna to Velma Blanche Keaton, who preceded him in death.
Survivors: one brother, Warren Baker, Modesto, CA; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Evelyn Keaton, Lebanon; several nephews.
Visitation will be from 11-1, Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in the Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon, MO.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Helen Winters and Bro. Harold Withers officiating. Interment in the Seaton Cemetery.
BAX
Robert W. Bax, 53, Freeburg, died Sun., June 29, 2003, in Jefferson City. He was born January 13, 1950 in Freeburg, MO, the son of Gerhard F. and Mathilda B. (Raab) Bax, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include 2 sons: Kevin and Jeffrey Bax; 4 brothers, Emil Bax, Freeburg; Gerhard Bax, Jr., Freeburg; Elmer Bax, Westphalia, and Fred Bax, Jefferson City; 3 sisters, Dorothy Luebbering, Wardsville, Rita Luebbering, Westphalia and Patricia Nelson, Eugene. He was preceded in death by one brother, Victor J. Bax.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednsday and 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Thursday, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Rosary service at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
Mass of christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Westphalia, MO with Rev. Mike Murphy, officiating.

DICKMANN
Julia Frances "Judy" Dickmann, 66, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at her residence.
She was born on March 12, 1937, in Louisiana, MO, the daughter of William Eugene and Helen Marie Johnson Murphy. She was married on March 13, 1961 in Memphis, TN to Delano John Dickmann who survives in Canada.
Other survivors include twin children: Carol Ann Lawler and Michael Joseph Dickmann, both of Jefferson City; a daughter and son-in-law: Diana Gail "Dee Dee" and Jerry Grounds, Jefferson City; grandchildren: Christina Castrop and her husband, Adam, Dustin Lawler, Johnathan Grounds, Lisa Lawler, Joseph Lawler, and Jennifer Lawler, all of Jefferson City; one great-grandson: Austin Castrop, Jefferson City; and a sister: Patricia Ruth Schuessler, Pennsylvania . She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: William Daniel Murphy; and twin grandchildren, Hannah Marie and Jacob Daniel Gieck.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
LIBBERT
Ralph J. Libbert, age 84, of Russellville, MO died July 1, 2003 at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 17, 1919, at Meta, MO, a son of Theodore and Elizabeth Bax Libbert. He was married November 8, 1943, at Meta, MO, to Loretta Gerling who survives at the home.
He was a World War II Veteran in the European Campaign. He was awarded nine Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Metal and Distinguished Unit Badge of the 15th Air Force. He retired from Delongs, Inc. after 27 years of service, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville, MO.
Other survivors include five daughters: Judy and husband Del Henson, Hartsburg, MO, Theresa and husband Keith White , Holts Summit, MO, Diana and husband Andy Cottrell, Russellville, MO, Patty and husband Don Ruether, Carolyn Corum, Lohman, MO; two sons: Bob Libbert, California, MO, and David Libbert, Centertown, MO; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, two sisters: Mary Weiberg, Freeburg, MO, and Matilda Schwartz, Argyle, MO; two brothers: Jerome Libbert, Barnett, MO, and Lawrence Libbert, St. Charles, MO. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2003, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville, MO, with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. and visitation Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church which will be the hour of Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Rob Fields presiding. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Russellville, MO.

MCFARLAND
Madolyn McFarland, 82, Blue Springs, MO, died July 1, 2003 in Blue Springs, MO.
She was born August 15, 1920 in St. Louis, MO, the son of James W. and Daisy (Haynes) McFarland.
She was a newspaper editor. After college, she worked for several newspapers, including the Eldon Advertiser, newspapers in Tarkio, a suburban of Chicago & Littleton, Colorado. She returned to Eldon in 1956 and worked for the Eldon Advertiser from 1956 until her retirement in 1982.
Her body has been donated to the University of Missouri, Columbia as an Anatomical Gift. Cremains will be buried next to her parents at the Eldon City Cemetery at a later date.
