BAUER

Tony John Bauer, 92, Vienna, died Aug. 3, 1999, at Maries Manor Health Care Center, Vienna.

He was born icon July 9, 1907, in Brinktown, a son of Mathias and Theresa Dette Bauer. He was married icon to Gertrude Conner, who died in 1969. He was married icon March 2, 1970, to Evelyn Schualein Bauer, who died March 13, 1997.

He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna, and a former member of St. Joseph's Parish, Webster Groves.

He moved to Webster Groves in 1939 and operated a grocery store for 18 years. He was a salesman with a greeting card company for 14 years before he retired in 1970.

In 1972, he moved to Meta and in April 1990 he moved to Vienna.

Survivors include: one nephew, Charles McFarland, St. Louis; and two nieces, Ann Marie Rogers and Mary Jane McKay, both of St. Louis.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 8-9:30 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Visitation Church and School Memorial Fund.

FOSTER

Phyllis Foster, 64, Versailles, died Aug. 3, 1999, at her home.

She was born icon July 18, 1935, in Morgan County, a daughter of Ed and Ethel Scott Vaughan. Her mother survives in Versailles. She was married icon in 1953, to Glen B. Pasewark, who died in 1972. She was married icon to Glen Foster.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

Survivors include: three sons, Robert Pasewark, Kaiser, Steve Pasewark, Wichita, Kan., and Mike Pasewark, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four brothers, Sid Vaughan, Versailles, Eddie Vaughan, Kansas City, Kan., Johnnie Vaughan, West Plains, and Lonnie Vaughan, Marshall; six sisters, Faye Carpenter and Mae Vaughan, both of Albuquerque, N.M., Edna Adair, Kansas City, Kan., and Ann Lucas, Helen Richardson and Jane McAlister, all of Versailles; and eight grandchildren.

Two sons, Tommie Vaughan and Danny Vaughan, preceded her in death.

Her remains were cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Versailles Cemetery. Jim Randall will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

PANNELL

Koniesha Maria Alexis Pannell, 1, Jefferson City, died Aug. 4, 1999, at her home.

She was born icon July 8, 1998, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Tara I. Pannell and Kimeric Lars. Her mother survives in Jefferson City. Her father survives in Gary, Ind.

Other survivors include: one brother, Ja-Sean Pannell, of the home; maternal grandparents, Connie Pannell and James Warner, both of Jefferson City; maternal great-grandmother, Billie Cross, Garland, Texas; and paternal grandmother, Charleszetta Lars, Gary, Ind.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at House of Refuge, 1212 E. High St. The Rev. Alphonse Webb will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the Koniesha Pannell Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

REEDER

Paul E. Reeder Jr., 71, Hartsburg, died Aug. 5, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born icon April 23, 1928, in Wilton, a son of Paul E. Sr. and Claudia W. Nichols Reeder. He was married icon Aug. 24, 1990, in Sedalia, to Deloris Begemann, who survives at the home.

He was a Navy veteran.

He worked as a pipe welder for Laclede Gas Company, St. Louis. He retired in 1986.

Other survivors include: four sons, Paul Reeder III, Columbia, Chester Reeder, San Diego, Calif., J.R. Basinger, Hartsburg, and Mitchell Basinger, Ashland; four daughters, Paula Basinger, Hartsburg, Brenda Watson, Arnold, Tina Morris, Bonne Terre, and Vicky Blake, Wentzville; one brother, Harold W. Reeder, Hartsburg; one sister, Mary Katherine Mattison, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Wallace Johnson and the Rev. Dave Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday.

STOUT

Gertrude Stout, 84, Ulman, died Aug. 4, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born icon July 10, 1915, in Ulman, a daughter of Asa and Carrie Patterson Myers.

She was a member of Mount View Church of Christ, near Iberia.

Survivors include: one daughter, Doris Bear, Grandview; one sister, Kathleen Myers, Ulman; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Services will at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery, near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to National Kidney Foundation.

PAYNE

Minnie Pearl Payne, 75, Fulton, died Aug. 6, 1999, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center, Mexico.

She was born icon July 19, 1924, in Portland, a daughter of LeRoy and Anna Gruber Polacek. She was married icon Sept. 3, 1939, to Charles Leroy Payne, who died April 11, 1967.

She was a member of Carrington Baptist Church and had worked as an assembler for Maytag, Jefferson City, for 11 years.

Survivors include: four sons, Ronnie Leroy Payne, Mexico, Danny K. Payne and Roger L. Payne, both of Auxvasse, and Jerry W. Payne, Fulton; one daughter, Ramona McLain, Fulton; two brothers, Royal "Pete" Polacek, St. Louis, and Clarence Polacek, Mexico; three sisters, Ida Garriott, Fulton, Dorothy Starkey, New Bloomfield, and Lilly Goodman, St. Ann; 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Pastor Ted Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

SEYFERT

William W. Seyfert, 65, California, died Aug. 6, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born icon June 23, 1934, in Moniteau County, a son of Walter E. and Ethel Hartman Seyfert. His mother survives in California.

He had worked for Henry Tractor, Cargill Inc., and in the finishing room at the California Woolen Mill. He was also a farmer, a member of California United Church of Christ and graduated from California High School in 1952.

Other survivors include one sister, Jacqueline Crane.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, California.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the California Church of Christ, 101 South Oak St., California, Mo. 65018.

TRASK

Maxine F. Trask, 81, Olympian Village, died Aug. 6, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City.

She was born icon Oct. 19, 1917, in Iron County, a daughter of Robert L. and Elma Maggie Sheldon Lewis. She was married icon April 19, 1938, to Earl Trask, who died June 18, 1994.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She had taught Sunday school classes in Annapolis and Festus-Crystal City. She was a school secretary in New Bloomfield from 1957-1967.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn Rankin, Fulton, and Marilyn Burnett, Florissant; one son, Kenneth Trask, Kirkwood; two sisters, Clara Brown, Annapolis, and Mary Trask, Belleview; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus. Dr. Richard Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Festus-Cemetery City Building Fund or American Cancer Society.

GRUBBS

Deborah K. Grubbs, 47, Florissant, died Aug. 6, 1999, at her home.

She was born icon July 24, 1952, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Sue and Russell Evans, who survive in Jefferson City. She was married icon to J. Gavin Grubbs, who survives at the home.

She was a travel agent with the Carlson Wagonlit company in St. Louis.

Other survivors include: three sons, Jerry Branson, Roman Grubbs and Tyler Grubbs; one daughter, Amy Branson; three brothers, Rick Evans, Jim Evans and John Frye; one sister, Jackie Allen; and her grandmother, Laura Nissen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Halls Ferry Free Methodist Church, Florissant. The Rev. Gerald Coates will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Charles Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Monday at Hutchens Mortuary, Florissant.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
