WOODS

William "Bill" Irwin Woods, age 56, of Camdenton, MO died Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach, MO.

He was born June 11, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, the son of William G. & Mabel (Winter) Woods. He was married in 1969 to Martha Noland.

He was a member of Camdenton United Methodist Church, was retired from the Social Security Administration, served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, and was a member of Masonic Lodge of Rolla. Survivors include his parents: William & Mabel Woods of Owensville; mother-in-law Viola Noland of Buffalo, MO; daughter Beth Hill & husband Eric of Wichita, Kansas; and one grandchild, Lynna Hill.

Visitation will be held at the Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton on Monday, July 14 from 6-8 p.m. and at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville on Tuesday, July 15, at 4:30 p.m.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with Rev. Marc Magana officiating. Burial will follow in the Gottenstroeter Mausoleum, Owensville.

AMERINE

Gladys Amerine, age 72, of Stover, passed away Saturday evening, July 12, 2003 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.

Survivors include three children that she raised, Charles Smith, Gladys Smith, and Mary Smith, all of the home, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Kansas City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.

MILLER

Henry J. Miller, 74, of  Jefferson City died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at his home.

He was born February 23, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan, a son of Henry J. and Mary Elizabeth Roberts Miller, Sr.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, retiring after 22 years. He was a policeman in  Jefferson City, Columbia, Boonville, and at the University of Missouri - Columbia. He also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.

He is survived by one son, James Paul Miller of  Jefferson City; one daughter, Triska Miller of  Jefferson City; and one sister, Betty Lou Rouse of Columbia.

Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the HOUSER MILLARD Funeral Directors,  Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Tim Waterman officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.

GERHARDT

Thelma Beatrice Gerhardt, age 82, of Belle, MO, died July 15, 2003 in St. Louis, MO.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1921 in Bunceton, MO the daughter of Harry William & Mary Phillips Hagemeier. She was married on Sept. 14, 1941 in Boonville, MO, to Walter Franklin Gerhardt who preceded her in death.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Wanda Haley of Belle, MO; 1 son: Wayne Gerhardt of Houston, Texas ; 3 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6:30-8 p.m. on July 18, 2003 at the Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, MO.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 19, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Tipton, MO with the Rev. Bruce Elmore officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Billingsville, MO.

WOODARD

Winston Woodard, Jr., 70, of Memphis, TN, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1933, in Calhoun City, MS, the son of the Winston and Essie Jones Woodard Sr. who preceded him in death. He was married to Flossie M. Campbell in 1961; and he married Mary Ann Branch in 1995.

He attended Booker T. Washington High School, Memphis, TN, and S.A. Owen Junior College, Memphis, TN. He was a welder for International Harvester/Navistar Corp., in Melrose Park, IL; he retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of Martin Temple Memorial C.M.E. Church, the L.A. Story Progressive Club, a member of United Auto Workers, a Prince Hall Mason, an Army veteran and a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He is survived by six daughters, Evelyn M. Townes- Washington of Blue Island, IL, Donna Echie of Memphis, TN, and Teresa Woodard and Jacqueline Hamilton, both of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Winston Woodard, III of Evergreen Park IL, and Matthew Woodard of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Sybil W. Harris of Memphis, TN and Itelle Spencer of Hammond, IN, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Harrison's Funeral Home Orange Mound Chapel-Memphis, TN.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Martin Temple Memorial C.M.E. Church, Memphis, TN. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrison's Funeral Home Orange Mound Chapel.

ELDRIDGE

Dale L. Eldridge, 68, Independence, died July 14, 2003, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Duffer Eldridge of the home; one daughter, Sabrina Malvitz, Kansas City; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19. at the Stover Cemetery with military funeral honors.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

FISCHER

Mrs. Eunice K. Fischer, age 70 years, of Rocky Mount, MO, a former  Jefferson City resident, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center, Columbia, MO.

Mrs. Fischer was born January 19, 1933 at  Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Albert and Adele Lueckenotte Vanderfeltz, both deceased. She was married on August 17, 1954 at St. Louis, MO to Vernon T. Fischer, who survives at the home.

Mrs. Fischer graduated from St. Peters High School and St. Johns School of Nursing, St. Louis, MO. In 1954 as a registered nurse.

Mrs. Fischer was employed as a surgical nurse and later director of nursing at the Charles E. Still Hospital for several years. From 1964 until 1986, she was a nurse anesthetist with the Anesthesia Associates in  Jefferson City.

She was a member of the Christ The King Lutheran Church at Lake Ozark, MO.

Other survivors include: one son, Mike Fischer of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Lynn Fischer of Springfield, MO.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2003 at the Christ The King Lutheran Church, Lake Ozark, MO with the Reverend Ron Lehenbauer officiating. Private graveside services and interment will be at the Zion Cemetery in Cole County, MO.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Christ The King Lutheran Church Building Fund, Lake Ozark, MO.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

RUSSLER

Angela Rose Russler, 62, of  Jefferson City died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at her home.

She was born June 5, 1941 in Vienna, Missouri, a daughter of Leo Ildephonse and Teresa Bauer Renkemeyer. She attended St. Peter Catholic School in  Jefferson City. She was married September 2, 1961 in  Jefferson City to Fred A. "Buck"; Russler, who survives at the home.

She was a clerk typist for the Missouri Highway Reciprocity Commission from 1984 until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She is also survived by one son, Jeff Russler of  Jefferson City; two daughters: Terri Russler of  Jefferson City and Kristin Russler of the home; one brother, Roman Renkemeyer of  Jefferson City; five sisters: Virginia Cerreto of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; Louise McDonald of Brazito; Alma Sandbothe of Taos; Mary Jane Temmen of Taos; Theresa Verslues of Taos; and four granddaughters: Kelsey and Lauren Russler and Lindsey and Ashley Clark.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Marion Makarewicz officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sheltered Workshop. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838. HOUSER-MILLARD  Jefferson City Chapel.

TIERNEY

George J. Tierney, age 87, of Osage Beach, MO, died on July 16, 2003 at Osage Beach Health Care, Osage Beach, MO.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. on July 19 at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach, MO. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on July 19 at the church. Burial will be at Lake Memorial Gardens, Osage Beach, MO.

Memorials are suggested to the Harper Chapel, Osage Beach, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

CROY

Milton "Milt" Croy, 62, Fenton, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2003.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Loretta Moyers and her son Michael Huddleston; two sons, Christopher (Dina) Croy and David Croy; one sister, Suzanne (Richard) Myers; one nephew, Randy Myers; two nieces, Kem (Rob) Helmka & Jenny (Brad) Brooks; grandchildren, Mackenna & Hamilton Croy.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, after 1:30 p.m. at the Jay B Smith Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 777 Oakwood Dr. (at Hwy. 141).

Funeral services will be Monday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Paul Churchyard.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to American Cancer Society.

DAVIS

Donna June Davis, 66, of St. Robert, died July 17, 2003, in The Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

She was born February 20, 1937, in Hancock, a daughter of Carl and Loretta Porter Godfrey. She was married November 11, 1953, at Dixon, to Charles Eugene Davis who survives.

Other survivors include: one son, Charles Davis, Jr., St. Robert; three brothers, Paul Godfrey, Billy Godfrey and Carl Gene Godfrey.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon with Pastor Tom Cromwell officiating. Interment will be in the Seaton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, in the Funeral Home.
