MARSHALL
Chester "Chet" Blanton Marshall, 102, Camdenton, died Aug. 7, 1999, at Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton.
He was born
July 12, 1897, in a slave cabin near Smithville, in Platte County, a son of Robert Lee and Mattie DeBerry Marshall. He was married
Dec. 25, 1921, in Platte City, to Mina Souther, who died in 1984.
He served in a National Guard unit that patrolled the Mexican-American border and went to France during World War I. He received France's Legion of Honor medal.
He worked for Kansas City's Street Car Co. for 26 years before starting his own business, later owning a parking lot and service station in Kansas City.
He and his wife moved to Camdenton in 1964, then managed the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce from 1966 to 1972.
He was a member of Linn Creek United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School for over 75 years. He also was a member of the Camdenton VFW post.
Survivors include: one daughter, Shirley Childers, Camdenton; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Frank Ragg will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to Linn Creek United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Gladys E. Ahlers, 84, Jefferson City, died Aug. 1, 1999, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.

Ronald David Halderman, 40, Eldon, died Aug. 4, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

JOHNSON
Eleanor Johnson, California, died Aug. 4, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

LUEBBERING
Luke James Luebbering, infant son of George L. and Emily Jean Sestak Luebbering, Koeltztown, was stillborn Aug. 7, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
His parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: one brother, Matthew Leon Luebbering, of the home; one sister, Heather Rose Luebbering, of the home; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Pat Luebbering, St. Thomas; and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Sestak, Koeltztown.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Rich Fountain. Msgr. Bernard Boessen and the Rev. Don Antweiler will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Westphalia.
GERLACH
William A. Gerlach, 72, Jamestown, died Aug. 7, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born
June 21, 1927, in Sandy Hook, a son of Albert W. and Rose Anne Cook Gerlach. He was married
Sept. 17, 1947, in California, to Anita June Schenewerk, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a lifelong farmer. He owned and operated Jamestown Hardware for 10 years, and owned Jamestown Sinclair Station.
He was a member and elder of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, and a member and past president of the Jamestown Lions Club. He served on the Jamestown School Board for nine years and was a youth baseball coach in the Jamestown area.
He was an honorary alumnus of Jamestown High School.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Billie June Fairchild Bonecutter, California; Rebecca Ann Kraatz, Overland Park, Kan., and Anita Faye Conley, Jamestown; five sons, David Gerlach, Donald Gerlach and James Gerlach, all of Jamestown, Dennis Gerlach, California, and Russell Gerlach, Centertown; two sisters, Alma Jungmeyer, California, and Anne Derendinger, Jamestown; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown. The Rev. Luther Herman and the Rev. Chester Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Jamestown.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

SCHEURER
Florence M. Scheurer, 87, California, died Aug. 9, 1999, at California Care Center.
She was born
March 28, 1912, in Pleasant Grove, a daughter of Henry and Mollie Lenger Knorp. She was married
to Oliver Garrett, who preceded her in death. She was later married
to Fred Scheurer, who also preceded her in death.
She attended California High School. She candled eggs for the MFA Store, California, and worked at Lister's Dress Shop, California. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the ladies aid of the church.
She is survived by one sister, Martha Sack, California.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Peter Kurowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

NELSON
Edith I. "Dolly" Nelson, 83, Lebanon, died Aug. 8, 1999, at Balanced Care North, Lebanon.
She was born
March 20, 1916, in Brownfield, a daughter of Marcus and Clara Hickey Myres.
She had worked for 35 years at Ft. Leonard Wood prior to retirement.
Survivors include: one son, William Nelson, Lebanon; one stepson, Jerry Nelson, Lebanon; one grandson, three great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Iberia Cemetery. The Rev. Stan Way will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
KAUTZ
Patty Kautz, 69, Eldon, died Aug. 8, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born
Dec. 27, 1929, in Newton, Iowa, a daughter of Wendell R. and Martha Myrick Mulbrook. She was married
Oct. 16, 1949, in Kansas City, to Max E. Kautz, who died Jan. 12, 1999.
She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Newton. She was also a member and past president of Elks Lodge Elketts, Osage Beach. She moved to the Lake area in 1963 and owned and operated with her husband Kapilana Beach Resort, Osage Beach. For most of her life she was a secretary for different companies including Osage Outdoor and Tan-Tar-A Resort.
Survivors include: three sons, Gene Kautz, Linn Creek, Jerry Kautz, Camdenton, and Tom Kautz, Osage Beach; one daughter, Fanchon Snelling, Linn Creek; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Scott Ehrich will officiate.
INMAN
Lee J. Inman, 78, Carrollton, died Aug. 9, 1999, in Carrollton.
He was born
March 16, 1921, in California, a son of Cordova C. and Della May Jobe Inman. He was married
Oct. 8, 1946, in Kansas City, to Lottie E. Williams, who died March 8, 1996.
He worked for Vendo's, Kansas City, and was a laborer for Missouri Pacific Railroad until he retired. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He attended California High School.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Kay George, Carrollton; two sons, Lloyd Williams, Gladstone, and Terry Lee Inman, Grand Pass; two sisters, Amanda Bristo and Mary Hoskins, both of Kansas City; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Tom Mustain will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.
