DAVIS

Danny L. Davis, 66, of Lawson, MO, died July 31, 2003.

He was born September 18, 1936, in Marshall, MO, to Millie (Bellefuille) and Frank Davis.

He had a full and loving life, which he devoted to his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, then he began life for his family, working as a truck driver, a race car driver, owner of a service station, and a reserve officer for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. Danny worked twenty-five years at Henry's Transmission in Independence, first as an employee and later as the owner until 1988. He then worked for seven years at Unit Service Company, also located in Independence. He then worked for seven years at Unit Service Company, also located in Independence. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 385 since 1955 and was involved with the Lawson Helping Hands.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years: Judy L. Davis, of Lawson, MO, and four daughters and their spouses: Dana Davis & Timothy Dare of Blue Springs, MO, Kelly and Michael Cook of Lee's Summit, Tina Harrison and Ross Caponetto of Lee's Summit, MO, and Laura and Bill Pearce of Oak Grove, MO, his mother, brothers Doug, Larry and Wayne and sisters Mary, Rose, Martha, and Shirley, seven grandchildren: Kari Cook, Michael Cook, Christina Harrison, Joey Harrison, Cody Pearce, Jeb Davis and Ki Dare. He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather and one grandson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 4th, 2003, at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors in "Jackson County Veteran's Field of Honor", at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO.

STEVENSON

Donald Lee Stevenson, age 62, of Windsor and Blue Springs, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Independence Regional Health Center in Independence.

He was born October 29, 1940 in Versailles, Missouri, the son of Glen C. and Anna Jane Ellis Stevenson.

Don was a truck driver for most of his life and founded, owned and operated the Stevenson Trucking Corporation of Blue Springs, MO. He served as president and vice-president of the Missouri Dump Truckers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Stevenson of the home; one daughter, Donna Renee Judd of Hannibal; his mother, Anna Jane Stevenson, Versailles; two brothers, Glen Dale Stevenson of Kingsville and Steven R. Stevenson of Stover; two sisters, Anna Marie Winningham of Springfield and Patti G. Haggerman of Versailles, and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, August 4, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a fund for his grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

BOIVIN

Evelyn Mae Boivin, age 86, of New Bloomfield, Mo., died July 31, 2003, at Columbia, Mo.

She was born July 24, 1917, at Belgrade, Maine, the daughter of Wallace Jacob and Ruth Evelyn Thompson Bickford. She was married September 23, 1938, at China, Maine, to Ubald Denis Boivin, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1994.

She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Holts Summit, Mo., and the Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and had also been employed as a cook in several restaurants and also had been in food service at the Callaway Hills School.

She is survived by three daughters, Glenis A. Powell of Columbia, Mo., Janet R. Boivin of Mathiston, Miss., and Alice E. McKenzie of Sturgis, Miss., three brothers, Paul Bickford of Wilton, Maine, Phillip Bickford of Belgrade, Maine, and Howard Bickford of East Wilton, Main, one sister, Jeanne Bakhuizen of Antrim, New Hampshire, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and two brothers.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be in the St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville, Maine. Memorials are suggested to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Buescher Memorial Home.

GASKILL

Brian Keith Gaskill, 35, of Dixon, died August 2, 2003, at his residence in Dixon.

He was born August 29, 1967, in Parmont, California, a son of Allen and Florence Farias Gaskill.

He was married May 22, 1993, to Shelia Woods Gaskill, who survives.

He was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Disabled Veterans.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Sheila Gaskill, include: his mother, Florence Gaskill-Orr; 5 brothers, Butch Watkins, Paul Watkins, Allen Gaskill, Jr., Jessie Gaskill and James Orr; and 2 sisters, Donna Norton and Debbie Henderson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon, with Rev. Lindell Shelton officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2003, in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Myelin Project, with envelopes available at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home.

JEFFERY

William F. Jeffery, 61, of  Jefferson City died Friday, August 1, 2003 at his home.

He was born May 29, 1942 in  Jefferson City, a son of William and Emma Mickelis Jeffery. He attended  Jefferson City High School.

He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He worked for Coy's Moving and Storage for 20 years.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Jeffery of  Jefferson City; four sisters: Anna Heislen, Mary Shelton, and Tina Jeffery all of  Jefferson City; Pam Jeffery of Dixon; and two brothers: Denny Jeffery and Steve Jeffery of  Jefferson City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors Ð  Jefferson City Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.

LUTTRELL

Oscar "Ed" Luttrell, 71 of Brumley, died July 31, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.

He was born in Brumley on October 24, 1931, a son of Oscar John and Mary (Ash) Luttrell.

Survivors: his wife, Iva Jane (Bilyeu) Luttrell; 3 sons, John Luttrell of Brumley, Edward Steven Luttrell of Iberia, and Randall Luttrell of Kaiser; 1 sister, Ruth Robinett of Brumley, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Robinett Cemetery.

TEROY

Ray D. Teroy, 66, of  Jefferson City died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born March 2, 1937 in Caruthersville, a son of William D. and Verna I.B. McElyer Teroy. He was a 1955 graduate of Caruthersville High School and in 1959 he earned a degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri Ð Columbia. He received a Master of Divinity degree from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and received a Master of Arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

He was a Presbyterian Minister for over 20 years, and worked for the Missouri Division of Employment Security from 1971 until his retirement in 1993 as a supervisor. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, and enjoyed playing tennis.

He is survived by two sons: David D. Teroy of St. Louis; Kevin A. Teroy of Warrenton; one brother, James of Caruthersville; two sisters, Judy of Eureka and Patsy of Memphis, Tennessee; and four grandchildren.

Private family services and interment will be held. Expressions of sympathy may be made to an educational fund for Ray Teroy's grandchildren, in care of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.

Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.

CLARK

Mr. Oliver L. Clark, age 69 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Sunday, August 3, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Mr. Clark was born December 5, 1933, in  Jefferson City, MO, the son of Ernest W. and Anne Swim Clark, both deceased. He was married on July 27, 1953, at  Jefferson City, MO, to Betty Lou Rook, who survives at the home. Mr. Clark attended  Jefferson City Public Schools.

He was employed by the A. & P. Grocery Store for 24 years and later with Schulte's I.G.A. in  Jefferson City, MO. He retired from Harry's Food Market in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1991. Other survivors include two sons: Oliver "Dusty" Clark Jr., of Benton, Arkansas and John Clark of  Jefferson City, MO; four daughters: Rita Stephan of  Jefferson City, MO, Debra Clark of Mexico, MO, Kathy Clark of Henley, MO, and Tina Schepers of  Jefferson City, MO; three brothers, one sister and nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be conducted. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

HELMIG

Mr. Evert A. Helmig, 71, of Linn, MO, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at St. Mary's Health Center,  Jefferson City, MO.

He was born September 26, 1931, in Osage County, MO. The son of Frank and Elsie (Moman) Helmig, both deceased. Mr. Helmig served in the U.S. Army during The Korean War. A lifelong resident of Osage County, MO. He was a farmer, and had also worked at the Osage County Hog Station. He was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church, Judge, MO.

Survivors include one brother: Alva Helmig of Morrison, MO; one sister: Lois Marie Helmig of Marshall, Texas ; and several nieces & nephews.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2003, at the Morton Funeral Home, Linn, MO. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at the Morton Funeral Home, Linn, MO, with the Rev. Mark Gregor officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Lane Cemetery, Osage County, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lane Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn, MO.

HIRSCHVOGEL

Earl H. Hirschvogel, Sr. 84, California, MO died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center in  Jefferson City, MO.

He was born August 28, 1918, in Cole County, MO the son of August and Christine Schubert Hirschvogel, who preceded him in death. He was married Sept. 11, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to Josephine Adelaide Antoinette Goff, who preceded him in death, Nov. 17, 1998.

He retired in 1980 from the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he worked in maintenance at the Centertown Highway Shed for 26 years. He had also previously worked as a mechanic for Riley Chevrolet and a roofer for independent contractors. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church in St. Martins. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a life member of V. F. W. Post 35 in  Jefferson City, MO.

Survivors include: one son, Earl H. "Bud" Hirschvogel, Jr. with his wife, Susan of California, MO; two daughters, Linda Reichel with her husband, Johnny of McGirk, MO and Donna Milligan with her husband, Russell of California, MO; eight grandchildren, Dean & Gary Reichel, Julie Schlup, E.H., Jeffrey and Robert Hirschvogel, Kristin and Ryan Milligan and a step granddaughter, Amanda Henley; two great grandchildren, Cole and Camryn Schlup and two step-great grandchildren, Dane and Dylann Henley.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Hirschvogel and two sisters, Alene Eggers and Olivia Linhardt.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, August 5, 2003 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO with a Prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at St. Martins Catholic Church in St. Martins. Rev. Father Eddie Schmidt will officiate and burial will be in the St. Martins Catholic Cemetery with Military graveside honors.

Memorials may be made to the California Nutrition Center-Meals on Wheels program, 107 W. Versailles Ave., California, MO 65018 or the Charity of the Donors Choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO.
