PURSLEY
Frank James Pursley, 94, of Jefferson City, died Friday, September 19, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born on August 19, 1909 in St. Louis, the son of Francis James Pursley and Blanche Coggell Pursley. He was married in 1932 in Richmond Heights, MO to Esther Anna Riley who died on February 5, 1933. He was married on July 28, 1936 in St. Louis to Lucille Margaurite Haight who died in February, 1964. He was married on August 16, 1975 in Jefferson City to Viola Emma Schieder who survives.
He was a graduate of McBride High School in St. Louis, and attended St. Louis University. Mr. Pursley was employed with Ford Motor Company Universal Credit for several years before serving in a glider factory in St. Louis during World War II. He was a partner with the Pursley-Van Osdall Dodge-Plymouth Dealership in Jefferson City for a brief time before opening his own dealership, Pursley Motors on Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City until 1955. Moving to St. Louis, he was a partner with the B.P.B. Pontiac Dealership. From 1960 until his retirement in 1965 he was Vice-president of Automobile Loans with Northwestern Bank in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral; an area coffee club; and a past-president of Jefferson City Country Club.
Other survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Carol E. Ehrich, St. Charles, MO; Linda and Louis Houlle, St. Louis; and Martha and Bob Meyers, St. Peters, MO; eight grandchildren, Christopher Toomey, Julie Sweeney, Lauren Toomey, Cinthia Houlle, Gregory Houlle, Mark Houlle, Kevin Meyers, and Brian Meyers; four great-grandchildren, Meagan Sweeney, Colleen Taylor, Michael Toomey, and Kristyne Toomey; and a brother, Paul W. Pursley, Northridge, California. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Pursley; and a sister, Virginia Moore.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Burial will be in Montgomery City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Cathedral, 2301 W. Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
CLARK
Everett Elton Clark, 68, of Jefferson City died Friday, September 26, 2003 at his home. He was born October 26, 1934 in Bluffton, Missouri, a son of Rudolph and Lola Maude Steele Clark. He attended Hermann High School. He was married June 14, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rosebud to Barbara Winthorst, who survives at the home.
He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, serving in Italy. He owned and operated his own auto repair shop from 1957 to 1965. He worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation from 1965 until his retirement in 1996 as Chief of the Operations Division. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He is also survived by two daughters: Nancy Rollins and husband Steven of Jefferson City; Karen Boeger and husband Michael of Jefferson City; and one granddaughter, Caroline Boeger. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Clark, and two brothers: Kenneth Clark and Loren Clark.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors- Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Tony Alter and Rev. Alvin Lange officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. FRANKEN
Lorine Marie Franken, 88, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born on March 3, 1915 in Castle Rock, MO, the daughter of Albert A. Schepers and Christina Toebben Schepers.
She was married on November 23, 1939 in Wardsville to Paul Theodore Franken who died on July 21, 1983.
A homemaker, Mrs. Franken had been employed in earlier years with Oberman Manufacturing Company, and with the Missouri Department of Revenue Division of Reciprocity for thirteen years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was active with the Perpetual Adoration, Prayer Line, and Parish Council. She was a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella; a member of the Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary; Ladies Sodality; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; Senior Bowling League; Central Bank Classic Club; various card clubs; and the Monday night weekly neighborhood block Rosary.
Mrs. Franken is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Marilyn & Bob Bock, St. Charles, MO; Jane and Fred Szabados, Jefferson City; and Gaiola M. Sochinski, Jefferson City; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Franken, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Levi Schepers, Wardsville; and two sisters, Edna Franken, St. Louis; and Dolores Thruston, Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Paul Franken; a grandson, Jeffrey L. Franken; five brothers, John Schepers, Clarence Schepers, Vincent Schepers, Norbert Schepers, and Wilfred Schepers; a sister, Clara Prenger; and an infant sister, Dorothea Schepers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. James M. Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

RAMSEY
Ronald LeRoy Ramsey "Ronnie, Firemaster, Ron" age 49 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sept. 17, 2003, at Jefferson City.
He was born June 21, 1954, at Painesville, Ohio, the son of Forrest and Irene M. Pierce Fog. His mother, Irene M. Ramsey, survives at Mentor, Ohio.
He was a graduate of the Mentor High School in Ohio and was a member of the Southridge Baptist Church, baptized June 20, 2002, in Jefferson City. He had served with the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed in the construction industry.
Other survivors include two brothers, Dennis A. Fog of LaPorte, Texas and William R. Fog of Erie, Pennsylvania , and one sister, Shirley J. Holtzman of Spartansburg, Pa.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday October 4, 2003, at 2:30 P.M. by Pastor Jim Walker at Larry's Lake in Russellville, Mo.

MARSHALL
John Dean Marshall, age 59, of Versailles, passed away Friday afternoon, September 26, 2003 in California.
He was born December 12, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bert E. and Versalean A. West Marshall.
He worked at Cargill Inc. in California, and had worked at Williams Lumber in Versailles for over 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Anne Marshall of the home; three sons, Kenneth Wayne Marshall of St. Peters, MO, Barry Lee Marshall of Versailles, and Christopher Heath Marshall of the home; three daughters, Dina Gail Berendzen of Richmond, MO, Lori Gay Caldwell of Blue Springs, MO, and Crystal Dawn Marshall of the home; three brothers, Robert Marshall of Versailles; two sisters, Joyce Gordan of Kansas City, MO, and Rita Pratt of Warsaw; and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 29 at the KIDWELL-GARBER Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Versailles Booster Club.
WINGS
Jayden Cain Wings, infant son of Teron and Deshaun Wings, died Friday, September 26, 2003 at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Teron and Deshaun Mayberry Wings of Fulton; one brother, Christian Mayberry of the home; one sister, Trenae Wings of the home; maternal grandparents Dennis and Glenda Mayberry of Holts Summit; paternal grandmother Sherry Nichols of St. Louis; maternal great grandparents: Earlene Brown of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Cameron and Agnes Mayberry of Jonesboro, Arkansas; paternal great grandmothers, Alice Nichols of St. Louis and Pecola Wings of St. Louis.

BARNARD
Emma L. Volkart Barnard, 95, California, MO passed away Friday, October 3, 2003 at her home in California, MO.
She was born on March 20, 1908 in rural Moniteau County, Missouri the daughter of Rudolph Johnson and Louise Wahl Folkerts who preceded her in death. She was married on September 1, 1927 to Alfred "Kotch" Volkart who passed away on June 4, 1953. She then married Edwin Chester Barnard on June 6, 1971 who passed away on January 30, 1989.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include 3 sons; Rex Volkart, Jim Volkart, of California, MO and Alan Volkart of Columbia, MO, 3 daughters, Arline Funkhouser of Pleasant Hill, MO, Judy Leithauser of Russellville, MO, Anita McDonald of Latham, MO, 2 step-daughters; Patsy Greenway of Eldon, MO and Joann Holliday of Jefferson City, MO, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. Other survivors include her brother Richard Folkert of Pharr, TX and her sister Margaret Frascona of Charlotte, NC. Emma was preceded in death by an infant son; Lex Volkart, 2 stepchildren; Bobby Barnard and Bonnie Kempker, great grandson; Anthony Murphy and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2003 from 4-7 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Dr. Rev. Peter Kurowski. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery, Russellville, MO.

Fern Adell Barrows, age 101, of Versailles, passed away Friday afternoon, October 3, 2003 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery near Versailles.
Eastern Star Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, at the funeral home followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
CARTER
Huey Ondue Carter, 78 of St. Elizabeth, died October 3, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
He was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma, on October 7, 1924. On October 9, 1943, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, he was married to Julia Josephine Whitman, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: 4 daughters; 1 son; 1 brother; 4 sisters, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Capps Cemetery near St. Elizabeth.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Care Center.
FAIRCHILD
Callie Nicole Fairchild, 13, of California, Missouri, died Friday, October 3, 2003, at her home. She was born November 27, 1989, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a daughter of Susan Pettus and Ed Fairchild. She attended the Special Learning Center from 1989-1994 and the Kirchner School in Jefferson City for two years until she was homebound.
Callie liked country music, animals, going places, colorful lights, and enjoyed her three brothers attention.
She is survived by her mother & step-father: Susan and Mike Johnson of California, Missouri; her father: Ed Fairchild of Jefferson City; three brothers: Zach Fairchild, Seth Fairchild and Jacob Johnson all of California, Missouri; maternal grandparents: Larry & Sally Pettus of Kansas City, Missouri; maternal grandfather: Lonnie Johnson of Centertown, Missouri; paternal grandparents: Pete & Rachel Fairchild of Jefferson City and paternal great-grandmother: Violet Amend of Jefferson City.
Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors- Jefferson City Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2003, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors- Jefferson City Chapel. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Cemetery in California, Missouri.
