ENRIGHT
Beatrice Eve Enright, 77, Jefferson City, died Aug. 11, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born
Dec. 4, 1921, in Lincoln County, Minn., a daughter of Theodore and Techla Korcal Burczyk. She was married
in June 1939 in Lincoln County, to Warren W. Wigness. She was married
in July 1952 in Lessburg, La., to John Enright.
A former resident of Chicago, she was employed in the shipping department of Alloy Manufacturing Co., Chicago, until her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include: one son, Gary J. Enright, Elmhurst, Ill.; one daughter, Barbara J. Wachholz, Bloomington, Ind.; two sisters, Virginia Shikoski, Ivanhoe, Minn., and Helen Cozzi, Chicago; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald L. Poelker will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
FRANKEN
Blanche Annette Franken, 62, Tipton, died Aug. 11, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born
June 16, 1937, in Boonville, a daughter of Frank and Louise Dueber Lang. She was married
April 21, 1956, in Tipton, to Patrick Henry Franken, who survives at the home.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton, the Altar Society and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a cook for about 23 years at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She was employed at Tipton Correction Center for three years.
Other survivors include: two sons, Steve Franken, Bunceton, and Donald Franken, Clarksburg; four daughters, Cindy Tuttle, California, Karen Clark, Nevada, Anita Henry, Rocky Mount, and Amy Brink, Tipton; three brothers, Eugene Lang, Warrensburg, Paul Lang, Derwood, Md., and David Lang, Valley Park; three sisters, Mary Lou Reintjes, Prairie Village, Kan., Paulette Gates, California, and Cathy Jenkins, Columbia; and 16 grandchildren.
Two sons, Timothy Franken and Joseph Franken, and one grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. There also will be a Ladies' Altar Society prayer service at 3 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's School or the American Diabetes Association.
GOLSTON
Sibyl Irma Eidson Golston, 94, Macks Creek, died Aug. 10, 1999, at Windsor Estates Convalescent Center, Camdenton.
She was born
Jan. 21, 1905, in Macks Creek, a daughter of Newton T. and Etta Florence Moulder Eidson. She was married
April 27, 1927, in Olathe, Kan., to Everett Golston, who died Feb. 8, 1978.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher, training union leader and member of the Women's Missionary Union. She also was a member of the telephone conference class and prayer chain.
Survivors include: three sons, Ward Golston, Sedalia, Gary Golston, Camdenton, and Jerold Golston, Fortaleza, Brazil; seven daughters, Dolores Gagnier, Macks Creek, Evelyn Golston, Kansas City, Brenda Atkins, Birmingham, Ala., Barbara Smothers and Cynthia Sansom, both of Lee's Summit, Beverly Bonner, Avon, Ill., and Glatha Hooper, Preston; 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Twin infant sons died in 1944. One grandson also preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Gary Golston and Ward Golston will officiate. Burial will be in Macks Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Macks Creek.
WALLACE
Don Wallace, 83, Kingdom City, died Aug. 10, 1999, at his home.
He was born
March 13, 1916, in McCredie, a son of Martin B. and Nannie Everhart Wallace. He was married
May 4, 1941, in Mexico, to Maxie L. Hall, who died Oct. 12, 1998.
He was a member of Richland Baptist Church.
He had been employed at John Deere, Fulton, as a mechanic until his retirement in 1989.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carol Lou Britt, Columbia; two sons, John Martin Wallace, Brookston, Ind., and James Kenneth Wallace, Henderson, Nev.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Don Kelley and the Rev. John Matthews will officiate. Burial will be in Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Richland Baptist Church Bus Ministry.
BODE
Clara E. Bode, 87, Jefferson City, died Aug. 12, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics, from injuries sustained Aug. 3 in an automobile accident.
She was born
May 15, 1912, in Cole County, a daughter of Louis J. and Agnes Adrain Bode.
She attended school in rural Cole County. A resident of Detroit from 1942 to 1993, when she returned to Jefferson City, she was employed as a bookkeeper in the Detroit area. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and several card clubs.
Survivors include: one sister, Estelle Kauffman, Jefferson City; and one brother, Herbert Bode, Lisle, Ill.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Tim Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
JONES
Thelma Lorraine Jones, 72, Jefferson City, died Aug. 11, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born
Oct. 5, 1926, in Gasconade County, a daughter of Hugh and Lottie Brown Bogle.
A former resident of Linn, she was a nurse's aide.
Survivors include: one son, Ronnie Jones, Jefferson City; two daughters, Patricia Ann Schlosser, Brazil, Ind., and Carolyn Jones, state of Washington; two brothers, Lonnie Bogle, state of Oklahoma, and Loyd Bogle, state of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Rosie Phillips, Owensville, Mary Yelton, Wellsville, and Dorothy McCallister, state of Florida; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Joe Trower will officiate. Burial will be in Lane Community Cemetery, Osage County.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
KUECKER
Elda Tagtmeyer Kuecker, 95, Stover, died Aug. 11, 1999, at Forest Park Hospital, St. Louis.
She was born
June 27, 1904, in Old Stover, a daughter of Louis and Louise Fischer Tagtmeyer. She was married
June 23, 1940, in Stover, to Arthur G. Kuecker, who died Dec. 11, 1986.
She attended school in Stover and attended Warrensburg State School where she earned her teaching certificate. She began teaching in local country schools and Lutheran schools in Arnold and Pocahontas.
She lived in Pocahontas, New Haven, Farley and Powhatten, Kan. She retired in Stover in 1960. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stover, where she opened the church's first kindergarten in 1961 and taught for eight years.
Survivors include: two sons, Raymond G. Kuecker, St. Louis, and Arthur D. Kuecker, St. Charles; two daughters, Lucile Roschke, Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Virginia Lehenbauer-Ehlers, St. Louis; 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
One son, Norbert Kuecker, died March 15, 1945, and one daughter, Eleanore Kuecker, also preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stover. The Rev. Ron Lehenbauer and the Rev. Martin Hoyer will officiate. Burial will in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran Senior Services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
JAMES
Eula Owens James, 75, Versailles, died Aug. 11, 1999, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born
June 19, 1924, near Gravois Mills, a daughter of James and Jane Hibdon Walters. She was married
to Jake J. Owens, who preceded her in death. She was married
to Vencil Floyd James, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Malvin Owens, Lincoln, and Milton Owens, Port Arthur, Texas; one daughter, Phyllis K. Lawson, Nelson; one brother, Norman Walters, Lansing, Kan.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One son, Larry Jake Owens, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Versailles Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
ROBINETT
Fred Robinett, 88, Latham, died Aug. 12, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Aug. 7, 1911, in Miller County, a son of Lee and Addie Belle Cooper Robinett. He was married
March 29, 1933, to Olive Thompson, who survives at the home.
A farmer, he was a member of Versailles Christian Church and the NFO.
Other survivors include: one son, Robert Fred "Sonny" Robinett, Versailles; one daughter, Virginia McKinley, Versailles; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One infant son, Tobby Robinett, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Tom Voth will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
