PEARRE
Pamela Gail Pearre, 47, of  Jefferson City died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at her home.
She was born April 22, 1956 in Fort Hood, Texas , a daughter of Paul and Maxine Graham Dixon. She was a graduate of Salem High School and the Lincoln University School of Nursing. She was married May 4, 1984 in Holts Summit to Gregg Pearre, who survives at the home.
She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Charles E. Still Hospital in  Jefferson City for most of her career, and later worked for several home health agencies. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
She is also survived by two sons, Jacob Pearre and Christopher Pearre both of the home; her father, Paul Dixon of St. James; two brothers: Tim Dixon of Gerald; Rick Dixon of St. James; a step brother, Pete Vannatta of St. James; and a step sister, Brenda Nave of Meridosia, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her step mother, Mae Dixon.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors --  Jefferson City Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors --  Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Private family interment will be held.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Jacob and Christopher Pearre Educational Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.

ANDRES
Frieda A. Andres, age 96, of California, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Moniteau Care Center in California, MO.
She was born November 24, 1906, in Russellville, MO, the daughter of August and Anna Hitz Sauer, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Emil Maier on January 24, 1925, who died February 9, 1995. On December 22, 1940, she was married to Raymond Andres, who died on March 4, 1991.
She attended Russellville and Pleasant Hill Schools and worked as a telephone operator both in McGirk and California, MO, for several years. She was a member of the California United Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter: Jerene Cockerill of  Jefferson City, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Oscar and Carl Sauer and 2 sisters: Pricilla Gillilan and Lydia Maier.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California, MO.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Weber and Sons Chapel, California, MO, with Rev. Gary Schulte officiating. Burial will be at the California Evangelical Cemetery, California, MO.
Memorials contributions are suggested to the California United Church of Christ - Building Fund or to the California Evangelical Cemetery. Complete funeral arrangements are under the direction of Weber and Sons Funeral Home in California, MO.

BLASER
Victoria Martha Blaser, 84, of  Jefferson City, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at her residence.
She was born on January 10, 1919 in Pleasant Hill, MO, the daughter of Elias and Sarah Kalaf Thomas.
She was married on April 17, 1948 in California, MO to Raymond Lee Blaser who preceded her in death.
A homemaker, Mrs. Blaser was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and followed both of her grandsons' baseball achievements at Helias High School and in American Legion and Babe Ruth league play.
She enjoyed baking cakes, gardening, and caring for her dogs and cats.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce L. and Darrell "Cotton" Clarkston,  Jefferson City; two grandsons, Chris Clarkston, Springfield, MO; and Lance Clarkston,  Jefferson City; two brothers, James G. Thomas,  Jefferson City; and Joseph Thomas, Versailles, MO; four nieces, Ann Slay and Sara Quinn, both of Columbia, MO; Margie Pritchett, San Jose, CA; and Ann Zoe,  Jefferson City; two nephews, James J. Thomas,  Jefferson City; and Gary L. Thomas, Modesto, CA; and lots of extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Louis Thomas; and a nephew, Stephen Thomas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation, POB 690,  Jefferson City, MO 65102; or Missouri State Parks Foundation, 113‡ West High Street,  Jefferson City, MO 65101.

HOOVER
Loren Hoover Jr., age 80, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Fulton, died Sunday, November 30, 2003, at North Valley Manor in St. Louis.
He was born May 15, 1923, in Fulton, the son of the late Loren and Gladys (Gilman) Hoover Sr. Loren had worked in the shoe factory.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Fulton, MO. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.

TAYLOR
Johnny Taylor, age 85, of Macks Creek, MO, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, MO.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2003, at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek, MO. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Burial will be at the AB Cemetery in Celt, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek, MO.

KNISKA
James A. Kniska, 69, Osage Beach, died Oct. 27, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born July 25, 1932, in Monongahela, Pa., a son of Andrew and Susan Greedan Kniska. His father survives in Osage Beach. He was married Jan. 1, 1988, in Ohio, to Sharon Owens, who survives at the home.
A graduate of West Virginia University, he founded, owned and operated Precision Custom Products, DeGraffe, Ohio, in 1976. He also had been employed in the computer department at Lake Regional Hospital. He volunteered at Lake Regional Hospital and Sun City Hospital, Sun City, Ariz.
He was a member of Walk on the Water Church, Osage Beach, and the Society of Plastics Industries and Plastics Pioneer.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Ruth Mahoney, Hanover, Mass., and Jane Hough, Lewistown, Ohio; one stepson, Michael Baroli, Columbia; one stepdaughter, Susan Davis, Eureka; three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Walk on the Water Church. The Rev. Larry Ollison will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, Va., 22203; or the National Parks Foundation, 1101 17th St. NW, Suite 1102, Washington , D. C., 20036-4704.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

KUESTER
Robert "Bob" John Kuester, 68, California, MO passed away Saturday, November 29, 2003 at St. Marys Health Center in  Jefferson City, MO.
He was born on June 10, 1935 in rural Moniteau County, MO, the son of Rudolph and Clara Boeckhaus Kuester, who preceded him in death. He was married to Margery Beach on June 22, 1958 in Versailles, MO, who survives of the home.
Bob was a 1953 graduate of California High School. He was a member of Laborers' Local 662 for 35 years, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in California, and he also farmed all of his life. Survivors include: four children, Mary Douglas and her husband, Larry of California, MO; Margie Hartman of Fulton, MO, Roberta Shikles and her husband, Tim of Russellville, MO and Brian Kuester and his wife, Laura of Broken Arrow,  Oklahoma. He is also survived by one brother, Don Kuester of  Jefferson City, MO and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Peter Kurowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in California, MO. Visitation will be at St. Paul's Lutheran. Church on Monday, December 1, 2003 from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 333, Latham, MO 65050, Lutheran Hour, 207 N. Owen St., California, MO 65018, St. Paul's Lutheran Church Radio Ministry, 207 N. Owen St., California, MO 65018. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin - Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.

STEGNER
Joseph William Stegner, 23, of  Jefferson City, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born February 21, 1980, in Boonville, Missouri, a son of Don William and Marjorie Lee Murray Stegner, who survive in  Jefferson City. He was a graduate of  Jefferson City High School. He worked as a Mail Clerk at the Missouri Department of Revenue. He enjoyed studying History and was a big movie buff. He liked all kinds of music and being with his family. He was loyal to his friends and was an excellent story teller.
He is also survived by his maternal grandfather: Walter A. Murray of Holt, Missouri; two half-sisters: Ginger DeFreece of  Jefferson City and Robyn Clifton of  Oklahoma City,  Oklahoma; a half-brother: Kurt Stegner who is serving in the U. S. Air Force and stationed in Iraq; one niece: Jessica DeFreece of  Jefferson City and one nephew: Tyler Logan Stegner of Warner Robbins, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a nephew: Zachari DeFreece on October 28, 2001.
Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel, with Rev. John Kerr officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Joseph William Stegner Memorial Fund c/o Exchange Bank. STROPE
Norma Lee Strope, age 78, of  Jefferson City, died Sunday, November 30, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born January 27, 1925 in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Dewey Ray and Theresa Quinn Bittick. She attended  Jefferson City High School. She was married March 15, 1943, in Linn to Arthur Strope, who preceded her in death on April 2, 1976. She worked for the Missouri Division of Employment Security, the Missouri Department of Corrections, and the Missouri Department of Social Services. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter: Donna Meyer of  Jefferson City; four sons: Gary Strope of Garden Grove, California; Doug Strope, Steve Strope, and Jim Strope, all of  Jefferson City; one sister: Virginia Surbaugh of  Jefferson City; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one sister: Mary Duncan; one brother: Deward Nichols; and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice. HODEL
Eunice Tambke Hodel, age 85, of Russellville, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center in  Jefferson City.
She was born December 19, 1917, in Russellville, a daughter of Benjamin Isaac and Zara Elizabeth "Lizzie" Proctor Scrivner. She was united in marriage to Herbert Tambke on December 20, 1933, in Stover and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1959. She was united in marriage to Walter Hodel on May 25, 1961, in Eldon and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1994. She co-owned and operated Tambke Petroleum and Cafe in Russellville from 1948-1960 and later worked at JCPenney's in  Jefferson City.
She was an active and faithful member of the Russellville United Methodist Church for over 50 years; assisting with Vacation Bible School and church dinners and most recently belonging to the Senior Saints. She was a former member of the Russellville Chapter 451 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Norma Tambke of Lohman and Greg and Jenenne Tambke of Holts Summit; daughters and sons-in-law, Fern and Ray Kirchner of Russellville and Janice and Frank Phillips of New Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nices and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers John and Virgil Scrivner; sister, Lucille Ranabarger; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the Russellville United Methodist Church with Pastor Barry Hoskins officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 1, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Russellville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

RODDEN
Chester "Chalk" Rodden, age 77 of Brumley, died November 30, 2003, at Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach.
He was born in Brumley on August 22, 1926, a son of the late Isaac Mac and Mary Eliza (Sons) Rodden. On October 11, 1945, in Brumley, he was married to Nora Louise Witt, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: 2 sons; 1 daughter; 2 brothers; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rodden Family Cemetery near Brumley.

SMITH-ACTON
Phyllis Smith-Acton, age 68, of Columbia, MO, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center.
She was born July 2, 1935, in Columbia, to Vance Henry Smith, Sr. and Margaret Ann Dodson Smith. She was most recently employed by Sam's Club. She is survived by one son: Wayne Johnson of  Jefferson City, MO; two daughters: Carla Garnatz and Kay Wilson, both of Columbia; four brothers: Henry Smith of Columbia, Roy Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dean Smith of Columbia and Bobby Smith of Denver, Colorado; a sister: Patsy Downey of Dade City, Florida; and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial gathering and life celebration will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at Nilson, Funeral Home, 5611 St. Charles Rd., Columbia, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to VFW Post 280, 1509 Ashley, Columbia, MO 65201.

WOLCHKO
George Dale Wolchko Sr., age 47, of Columbia, MO, died Friday, November 7, 2003 at his residence in Columbia.
He was born December 26, 1955 in Amarillo, TX, the son of George Joseph and Peggy Jones Wolchko. Mr. Wolchko married Susan Nance on July 24, 1980 & she survives.
He graduated Cumme Laude from Lincoln University and received two Master Degrees from MU, the first in Social Work and the second in Human Development and Family Services. He was currently a Ph. D. candidate at MU. A MENSA member, he was a licensed Clinical Social Worker who had worked for several years at Positive Motivation.
Other survivors include his father, George Joseph Wolchko of Jersey City, NJ; 1 son, George Dale Wolchko of Camp LeJeune, NC; 1 daughter, Valen Wolchko of Columbia, MO; 1 grandson; 6 brothers and one sister. He was raised by his grandparents, Paul and Alma Jones, who also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Parker Funeral Service & Crematory on Wednesday, November 12 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 11 a.m. at Parker Funeral Service & Crematory with Tom Powell officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery,  Jefferson City, MO.
