Betty L. Elliott, of Surprise, Arizona, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, in Surprise, AZ.
She was born in Versailles, MO, lived in  Jefferson City from 1955-1995 & then moved to Arizona. She taught at  Jefferson City Sr. High School.
Survivors include her spouse, Charles "Pete" Elliott; 1 daughter, Bettina Walls of Overland Park, KS; 2 sisters, Katharine Dromgold & Lucy Maunders, both of Sun City West, AZ; 1 brother, Dr. Sam Price Jones of Dallas, TX; 2 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters.
Services will be held at a later date in Missouri.

KING
Mary Ruth King, 52, of California, MO, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Capital Region Hospital in  Jefferson City, MO.
She was born January 29, 1952, the daughter of Jesse Lloyd and Hilda Marcella Kubli Vaughan, who survives in California, MO. Her father preceded her in death on March 29, 1973. She was united in marriage May 28, 1983 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church to Larry Wayne King, who survives of the home.
She attended Russellville High School, Lincoln University and attended two courses at the McCrone Institute in Chicago, IL. She worked for the State of Missouri-Department of Natural Resources as a Chemist 4; working for 18 years, was formerly employed at Chesebrough Ponds (Unilever), California Manufacturing and Burgher Haus. She was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church in California, MO where she served as the Church Treasurer, Librarian and worked with AWANAS. She started and was involved with Women of Virtue at Main Street Baptist Church.
Other survivors also include: three sons, Brian D. Hufendiek with his wife, Stephanie, Matthew R. Hufendiek with his wife, Lynnea, and David Lawrence King, all of California, MO; one daughter, Becky Porter, with her husband, Richard of California, MO; one stepson, Shawn W. King with his wife, Nicole of FL; one stepdaughter, Dawn L. King of WA; two brothers, Alan Lloyd Vaughan and Robert D. Vaughan with his wife, Barbara of California, MO; one sister, Sherry Rose Emerson with her husband, Kenny of  Jefferson City, MO; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Main Street Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Mathes and Rev. Greg Morrow officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2004 at Main Street Baptist Church from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to the Main Street Library, 303 West Main Street, California, MO 65018 or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California, MO.

LIMBAUGH
Calvin Thurman Limbaugh, age 76, of Dixon, died Thursday, February 12, 2004.

FENNEL
Connie Marie Fennel, 59, of Fulton, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the University Medical Center in Columbia.

HECKMAN
Josephine Heckman, age 94 of St. Thomas, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the Westphalia Retirement Center.
She was born in Koeltztown on March 17, 1910, a daughter of John and Christine (Holterman) Utrecht. On September 10, 1935, in Koeltztown, she was married to Herman Henry Heckman, who preceded her in death on February 15, 1985.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality, the Over 50 Club, and the St. Thomas Quilting Club.
Survivors include: three sons, Alex Heckman of St. Thomas, Tony Heckman of Westphalia, and Leander "Cotton" Heckman of Wardsville; two daughters, Hermina Strope of St. Thomas and JoAnn Schwartze of Argyle; one sister, Pauline Rackers of  Jefferson City; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Becky Strope, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Hubert, and Arnold Utrecht; and one sister, Cecilia Griffin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in St. Thomas. Rev. Mark Porterfield will officiate. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall with a Senior Citizens Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Thomas Parish. Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home in Meta.

HENDERSON
Mrs. Sandra S. Henderson, age 59 years, of Friendship, Tennessee, a former  Jefferson City resident, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the Dyersburg Medical Center, Dyersburg, Tennessee.
She was born March 13, 1945, at Tacoma, Washington , the daughter of Dwight D. and Margaret Faye Cardwell Turk. Her parents servive in  Jefferson City, Mo. She was married on September 26, 1963 at  Jefferson City, Mo., to Robert E. Henderson, who survives at the home.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area until 2001, Mrs. Henderson was a 1963 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. She was employed as a cashier with Wal-Mart in  Jefferson City, Mo., and Dyersburg, Tennessee for several years. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of  Jefferson City, Mo.
Survivors include two sons: Robert D. Henderson and his wife Brenda of  Jefferson City, Mo., and Thomas E. Henderson of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one daughter: Teresa Henderson of Marshfield, Mo. ; one granddaughter: Emily Faye Henderson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Shane Crum officiating. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

NICHOLS
Dorothy Jean Nichols, age 69, of Ashland, Mo., died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at the University Hospital & Clinics.
Mrs. Nichols was born March 19, 1935, in Boone County, the daughter of Ralph Mountjoy and Stella Mae Henshaw Mountjoy. She married Wiley Nichols, October 29, 1955, and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles in  Jefferson City.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws: Bruce and Billie Nichols of Ashland and Dennis and Mary Nichols of Sturgeon; two brothers: Kenneth Mountjoy and Joe Mountjoy of Columbia; four sisters: Jane Richardson, Martha Nan Sapp and Norma Downey of Ashland, La Verne McKim of  Jefferson City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland, Sunday, April 4, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation on Saturday April 3, 2004, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association, 1316 Parkade Blvd., P. O. Box 1013, Columbia, MO 65205.

DISBROW
Hazel Mae Disbrow, age 82, of Versailles, formerly of Gravois Mills, passed away Friday, May 28, 2004, at Beverly Health Care in  Jefferson City.
She was born October 6, 1921, in Bunker, Illinois, the daughter of Fate and Ida Harris.
She was retired from the Hoover Company and was very active in politics.
Survivors include: her stepson, Dennis Disbrow; her brother, Kenny Harris; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.

ELLIOTT
Marian Frances "Hannah" Elliott, age 83, of New York City, N. Y., formerly of Crocker, died April 26, 2004, in New York.
She was born January 12, 1921, in Crocker, to James W. and Mabel James Elliott.
She was a WWII U. S. Marine Corps Veteran and a graduate of Iberia College and the University of MO Columbia. Ms. Elliott has taught Elementary school in Hawk Eye and later was employed by the New York City Department of Education.
She is survived by one sister: Mary Spillers of Tampa, Fla., five nephews and six nieces.
Graveside memorial services with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, in the Crocker Cemetery with Pastor Mark Peck officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Long Funeral Home, Crocker.

LEONARD
C. Eileen Leonard, 69, Four Seasons, Mo., died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Lake Ozark, Mo.
She was born on May 13, 1935, in Bunker, Mo., the daughter of William D. and Rosie Alley Parker.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 12 years, and was a member of the Linn Creek Baptist Church near Camdenton, Mo. at the time of her death. She and her husband were commissioned as Missionaries by the Home Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
She graduated from Bunker High School. She completed two years of studies at Southwest Baptist College and graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, with a BS in Education. She did post graduate studies both at Drury and other colleges. She taught in the public schools of Bunker, Cassville, Springfield and Salem, Mo. She also taught in Texas . Her lasting teaching years were at Simonsen and Callaway Hills of  Jefferson City, for a total of 30 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Missouri and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; her grandparents; two brothers, Claude and Perry Parker; a sister, Dessie Skaggs and a granddaughter, who died at birth.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde, of the home; three daughters, Clydene Watson and her husband, Douglas, and their children, Jonathan, Nathan, Michael and Leah of Springfield, Mo. ; Cheri Jones and her husband, Jim, and their daughters, Ashton and Alexandra, of Bolivar, Mo. ; Cindy Swanigan and her husband, Russ, and their children, Gabriella, Abigail and Hunter, of  Jefferson City, Mo. She is also survived by a sister, Dorlene Stout of House Springs and two brothers, Elder Elmer Parker of House Springs and Winfred Parker of Salem, Mo. She will be missed by many who knew and loved her as pastor's wife, teacher, and friend. Eileen was a faithful pastor's wife to the churches where her husband served as pastor.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, Mo.
The Memorial Services will be at the Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church, Lake Ozark, Mo. at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2004.
Visitation services will also be held from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2004, at the Macedonia United Baptist Church with interment at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Boss Cemetery near Salem, Mo.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the Video Projection system at Linn Creek Baptist Church, or to a special fund at the Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church.

LILLESTON
John Earnest Lilleston, 78, of  Jefferson City, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at St. Marys Medical Center.
He was born on October 22, 1925 in Moberly, Mo., the son of John Randall and Mattie Jane Solimon Lilleston. He was married on August 1, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Joanne Winifred McKnight who died on February 17, 1989.
A 1943 graduate of Moberly High School, he was a 1948 graduate of Moberly Junior College where he was elected vice president of his class. Mr. Lilleston retired in 1984 as Vice President of Finance with Missouri Power and Light Company where he had been employed for 35 years.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict serving as Radioman Third Class. He was a past Quartermaster and lifetime member of Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003, American Legion Post 5,  Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce, Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, and was a former treasurer of Missouri Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid sportsman, golfer, fisherman, and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Randall & Kristi Lilleston, Alexandria, Virginia and John David Lilleston, Tampa, Florida; five daughters and sons-in-law, Miriam and Tim Schepers, Linda and Dennis McKinney, Patty and Dale Henry, Stephanie and Chip Webb, all of  Jefferson City; and Peggy and Jerry Lynch, Holts Summit; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Schepers, Kim Schepers, Jessica Felchak, Chris McKinney, Jeremy Henry, A. J. Henry, David Smith, Peter Smith, Michael Smith, Joshua Webb, Eric Webb, and Taylor Webb; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Felchak and Haden Felchak. He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Lilleston; one brother, Cotton Lilleston; and two sisters, Dorothy Jackson and Viola Warford.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Roy Sone Post Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003, P. O. Box 24,  Jefferson City, MO 65102.

REEL
Betsy Nichols Reel, 34, of Jamestown, Missouri, passed away on November 10, 2004 in Centertown.
Born on February 11, 1970 in  Jefferson City, Mo., Betsy was the daughter of Larry and Tem Mausshardt Nichols. Her father preceded her in death on September 3, 1977. Her mother and stepfather, Tem and Tony Hiesberger, survive in  Jefferson City.
Betsy was married on April 28, 1991 in Harrison, Ark. to Shayne Reel who survives in Jamestown. She was employed on the staff of Jamestown School. A graduate of Jamestown High School, she served in the United States Army and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Jamestown, Betsy participated in Sunday School with her sons. She worked with the Special Olympics and enjoyed coaching softball and T-ball for little league teams in Jamestown.
She is survived by three sons, Robbie, Ryan, and Ronnie Reel all of the home; one brother, Rick Nichols and his wife, Shonna of Centertown, Mo. ; one step-brother, Mark Hiesberger of Fulton, Mo. ; one step-sister, Melanie Grafton of Grapevine, Texas ; six nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Reel and a brother, Brad Nichols.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Jamestown, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Chester Marshall and the Rev. Dr. Stephen Buchholz. Burial will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jamestown, Mo. with military honors.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Trust Fund for Robbie, Ryan, and Ronnie Reel, c/o River Region Credit Union, Attn: Rick Nichols, 2009 Schott Hill Woods Drive,  Jefferson City, MO 65101. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.
