MOBLEY
Ronald L. Mobley Sr., 49, McGirk, died Aug. 13, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born
Jan. 6, 1950, in Waynesville, a son of Adolth and Donna Good Mobley. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married
Dec. 28, 1968, in Jefferson City, to Joyce E. Heard, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, he attended Rolla High School and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a sergeant at the Tipton Correctional Center and served 15 years with the Missouri Department of Corrections.
He was a member of the North American Hunting Club and Bass Masters.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald L. Mobley and Randall W. Mobley, both of Jefferson City; two daughters, Rebecca E. Mobley and Reshonda R. Mobley, both of McGirk; two brothers, Thomas Mobley, Monterey, Calif., and Randall F. Mobley, Jefferson City; one sister, Sharon Gibson, Jefferson City; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Tony Mayfield will officiate. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
SPAULDING, SPAULDING
Jennifer R. Spaulding, 21, Fortuna, died Aug. 12, 1999, near Fortuna, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Shauna Nicole Spaulding, infant daughter of Chris and Jennifer R. Spaulding, died Aug. 14, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics, from injuries sustained in the same accident.
Jennifer was born
Dec. 4, 1977, in Oxnard, Calif., a daughter of Greg and Sharron O'Quinn Weedon. Her parents both survive in Versailles. She was married
May 3, 1997, to Chris Spaulding, who survives at the home.
Shauna was born
June 22, 1999, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Chris and Jennifer Weedon Spaulding. Her father survives at the home.
A 1996 graduate of Morgan County R-1 High School, Stover, Jennifer was employed at Scholastic Inc.
She was a member of Freedom of the Road Riders.
Jennifer's other survivors include: one brother, Jeff Weedon, Fort Riley, Kan.; and paternal grandmother, Martha Weedon, Versailles.
Shauna's other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Greg Weedon and Sharron Weedon, both of Versailles; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Amanda Spaulding, Adelanto, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother, Martha Weedon, Versailles; paternal great-grandmothers, Nelda Spaulding, Glensted, and Naomi Schmidt, Tipton; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Faye Sattler, Versailles.
Services for Jennifer and Shauna will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. William Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, near Versailles.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Jennifer and Shauna Spaulding Memorial Fund.
WOOD
Irene Thompson Wood, 89, Versailles, died Aug. 14, 1999, at Laurie Care Center, Laurie.
She was born
Oct. 25, 1909, near Gravois Mills, a daughter of William M. and Mary Emma "Mollie" Hull Robinson. She was married
Oct. 16, 1926, in Gravois Mills, to Robert Fish Thompson, who died May 5, 1956. She was married
in 1957 to George Washington Wood, who died May 26, 1966.
A lifelong resident of Morgan County, she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Gravois Mills.
Survivors include: four sons, Virgil Thompson, Independence, R.D. Thompson, Laurie, Curtis Thompson, Versailles, and William Thompson, Seattle; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Sarah Lee Heaton, Mary Jane Thomas, and Margaret Thompson; one son, Sam Thompson; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
HUNT
Lillian H. "Pat" Hunt, 60, Tipton, died Aug. 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.
JOHNSON
Ward Johnson, 77, California, died Aug. 14, 1999, at California Care Center.
He was born
May 22, 1922, near Kliever, a son of Walker and Maude Crum Johnson. He was married
July 4, 1941, to Mary Scott, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated a farm near California and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 513, Operating Engineers. He worked for other companies, retiring in 1971 from Richardson-Bass Co., Columbia, as an operator.
He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, the men's Sunday School class, church choir and the church funeral luncheon committee.
Other survivors include one son, Jim Johnson, Mineral Point, and one brother, Ned Johnson, St. Charles.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Ken Mathes will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. today.

EADS
William "Herschel" Eads, 48, Jefferson City, died Aug. 15, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born
March 15, 1951, in Pulaski, Va., a son of William W. and Annie Cress Eads. He was married
Nov. 17, 1975, to Lorene Walker, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: two stepsons, Danny Bess, Oakville, and Dennis Bess, Jefferson City; two stepdaughters, Delores Wood, Lake Ozark, and Penny Lower, Linn Creek; one brother, Wayne Eads, state of North Carolina; one half brother, Jason Eads, state of North Carolina; two half sisters. Suzy Allison and Shirley Heaton, both of Miller's Creek, N.C. ; 13 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Southridge Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Walker will officiate. The remains were cremated.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
HOWARD
Wilbur D. Howard, 88, California, died Aug. 16, 1999, at California Care Center.
He was born
April 9, 1911, in Moniteau County, a son of Charley and Monie McDaniel Howard. He was married
Aug. 13, 1932, in California, to Laura M. Wolfrum, who died July 12, 1999.
A farmer and carpenter, he worked at Burgers Smokehouse for several years. He was a member of California United Church of Christ, and was a former member of Modern Woodman of America.
Survivors include: one son, Bobby V. Howard, California; two brothers, Edmond Howard, Cape Girardeau, and Clayton Howard, Walnut Grove.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to California United Church of Christ, 101 N. Oak St., California, Mo. 65018.
HUDAK
Services were today for Peggy Lou Hudak, 43, Rocky Mount, who died Aug. 13, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born
Jan. 20, 1956, in Belleville, Ill., a daughter of Vernis and Demple Dee Elledge Collins. She was married
March 18, 1997, in Rocky Mount, to Edward Joseph Hudak, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Samuel Mueller, Eldon, and Michael Mueller, state of Indiana; four sisters, Shirley Perkins, Wappapello, Roxie Lenox, Eldon, Joyce Cox, House Springs, and Nancy Collins, Mesa, Ariz.
Services were at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jack Dilday officiated. Burial was in Dooley Cemetery, near Eldon.
ROMPH
Grace Marie Romph, 25, Jefferson City, died Aug. 17, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born
April 19, 1974, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Gary F. and Kay F. Kelley Romph. Her mother, Kay Brejcha, survives in Jefferson City. Her father and stepmother, Gary and Sharon Romph, survive in Jefferson City.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, she attended Jefferson City public schools. She worked in the day care of First Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was a service aide at the Acteens Youth Missions Organization. She also was an Acteen leader at First Baptist Church and for the Concord Baptist Association. She was a preschool and Sunday school teacher and served on the associational Sunday school team to train preschool leaders.
Other survivors include: one brother, Eric Scott Romph, Jefferson City; and one sister, Kimberly Ann Romph, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager and the Rev. David Phelps will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary, and from noon-1 p.m. Friday at the church.
