RANDEL
Mr. Loran G. Randel, age 96 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, November 12, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Randel was born June 6, 1908 at Doniphan, Mo., the son of Willis A. and Fannie Murdock Randel, both deceased. He was married on June 7, 1934 in Columbia, Mo. to Mary Kathleen Corn who preceded him in death on December 8, 1995.
Mr. Randel graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo. with an A. B. and a B. S. in Education. He did graduate work at the University of Missouri.
Loran worked four years for the Iowa Emergency Relief Commission and from April 1938 until December 31, 1976, he was employed by the Missouri Department of Social Services. Eleven of those years were as District Supervisor at Maryville, Mo. and 15 years as District Supervisor in Boonville, Mo. with the last 11 years as Regional Director for the Western Division of Missouri in  Jefferson City.
He was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Marilou Biagi and her husband Dale of Blue Springs, Mo., Barbara King and her husband Gene of Lantana, Florida; a special friend like as daughter, Carol Burgess and her husband Roy of Holts Summit, Mo. ; five grandchildren, Janice Elkins, Marcia Sperber, Brian King, David King, and Casey Burgess; five great grandchildren, Shawna Elkins, Emma Elkins, Annie Elkins, Caleb Sperber, and Ethan Sperber.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Larry Gallamore officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 4-6 p.m. Monday.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

STEPHAN
Regilda Lydia Stephan, 85, of Chamois, died Monday, November 15, 2004, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Care in Linn.
She was born November 30, 1918, in Morrison, a daughter of Albert and Lydia Schollmeyer Vehlewald. She attended school in Morrison. She was married February 14, 1942, in Morrison to Melvin Stephan, who preceded her in death.
Regilda was a cook at the Osage County RI School in Chamois from 1972 until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Chamois, the Women's Guild, and the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons: David Stephan and wife, Marilyn of Linn; Douglas Stephan and wife, Shirley of Linn; two grandchildren, Corey Stephan and Ashley Cunningham; and one great grandchild, Gage Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kevin Stephan, on May 30, 1969.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the St. John United Church of Christ, Chamois.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the St. John United Church of Christ with Rev. Deborah Pope officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Morrison.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. John United Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois, Missouri, (573) 763-5658.

HACKNEY
Ollie Hackney, 92, California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Moniteau Care Center in California, Mo.
She was born on December 1, 1912 in St. Louis, Mo. the daughter of George W. and Ola Woodard Chambers who preceded her in death. She was married on Sept. 17, 1931 to Ewing Hackney who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1985.
She was a cafeteria worker at McDonald Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing and was a member of California Chapter 521 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: two sons, Archie F. Hackney and his wife, Brenda Lee of St. Charles, Mo., and Haywood "Hack" Hackney and his wife, Pat of Albuquerque, N. M. ; one sister, Virginia Miles of California, Mo. ; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Schulte. Burial will be in California City Cemetery in California, Mo.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 4, 2004 from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.
Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, 1121 Business Loop 70E, Columbia, MO 65201. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.

MOSER
Criscella B. Moser, 90, California, Mo., passed away Friday, December 03, 2004 at her home in California, Mo.

WILLIAMS
Alpha Florence Williams, age 92, of Syracuse, Mo., died Friday, December 3, 2004.
She was born February 13, 1912,, in Akron, Colo., to William A. and Kathryn Mead Reneau. She was married to Lee Williams. He preceded her in death in June 1988.
She is survived by two sons: Rodney Lee Williams and wife Janice, Clarksburg, Mo. and Gary Warren Williams and wife Linda, Centertown, Mo. ; two daughters: Marilyn Louise Rowles, Syracuse, Mo. and Lorene Wisdom and husband Robert, California, Mo. ; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister: Marion Sanders.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton, Mo., with the Rev. Gary Payne officiating. Burial in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

MOORE
Pauline L. Moore, affectionately known as "Polly", passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center at the age of 84.
Polly was born July 13, 1920, in Independence, Missouri. She was the daughter of James William Lewis and Olga Matilda Olsen, who preceded her in death. Her husband of 30 years, Dr. Steve C. Howard, also preceded her in death on November 11, 1968. She was his soul mate, partner, and helper during his 30 years of medical practice in Vienna, Missouri.
On March 5, 1976, Polly married Dr. William H. Moore. He survives at Westphalia Retirement Center. Polly is respected, admired, and mourned by her loving family.
She is survived by her children: Susan Bijarchi and husband, Joseph of Allen, Texas ; Kathy Corey and husband, Tom of Rural Dixon, Missouri; and Steve C. Howard IV and wife, Debbie of  Jefferson City, Missouri; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Polly's great talents for creating beauty by painting, sewing, fashion design and style enriched the lives of all she touched, she also loved to play the organ. Her joy was making beautiful items to delight family and friends. She is the best mom any child could have; nurturing and guiding. She is deeply loved and missed. Polly is now free to find the peace and joy she so richly deserves.
The family plans a private remembrance for Spring.
Memorials are suggested to Friends of Wolfner Library for the Blind, P. O. Box 1671,  Jefferson City, MO 65102. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

WELCH
Lawrence H. "Bud" Welch, 76, of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at University Hospital.
He was born October 5, 1928 in Concordia, Mo., to Lawrence J. and Ellen A. Welch. He married Myrtie E. Wiegers on February 26, 1950, and she preceded him in death.
He was employed by Sears in Columbia and  Jefferson City for more than 20 years and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael Welch of Kansas City and Kevin Welch of Columbia; one daughter, Michelle Welch of Palmetto, Florida; one sister, Jean Maher of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo. with a wake to follow at the local VFW Hall.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Stroke Association is requested. Arrangemens are by Kaiser-Wiegers Funeral Home of Higginsville.

WEST
Georgia Mae West, 96, of Fulton, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.
She was born May 3, 1908, to Boyd and Alice Bradshaw. She married Charles West on Oct. 22, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Pam Crowfoot, Linda Cade and Elaine Murkot; five grandsons, David Perkins, Mike Perkins, Kenny Moore, Butch Niffin, and Charles Niffin; 16 great-grandchildren; & many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, three children, one great-grandson, and two great-great grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Brother Bruce Williamson officiating. Entombment will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

ADAMS
William J. "Bill" Adams, 69, died December 25, 2004 at his home in Sunrise Beach, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Patrick Carey, Harrisonville Mo. ; and Christopher Allen Carey, Belton Mo. ; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Schanuel, Camdenton; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; his mother, Eleanor Adams, one sister Susan Adams, both of Ste. Genevieve; beloved companion, Diane Krueger, Camdenton; mother of his children, Carol Adams Derringer, Camdenton.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2005 in the Allee-HolmanHowe Funeral Home in Camdenton.

BATES
Elinor Mae "Grandma" Bates, 93, Camdenton, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Lake Regional in Osage Beach.
Survivors include: one son, Fred Bates and his wife, Gloria, of St. Louis; grandchildren, Stephanie Toluiszer and her husband, John, of St. Louis and Frank Bates of St. Louis; great-granddaughter, Sawyer Bates; granddaughters at heart, C. J. Rowland and Betsy Wittenberg of Camdenton; great-grandchildren at heart, Tera Eggebrecht and husband, Jon, of Camdenton and Terry Roderick and wife, Joy of Korea; great-great-grandson at heart, Gage Eggebrecht; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

BELL
Clarence Raymond Bell, age 82, of Sunrise Beach, died Sunday, December 26. He was born June 30, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo.
He is survived by his wife: Gloria R. Bell, of the home; two daughters: Wanda L. Davis of St. Peters and Linda R. Walker of Wright City; one brother: Frank W. Bell of Sappington; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 30, at the West Lake Christian Church in Laurie and at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the church and from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Entombment will be in Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

DILSE
Mrs. Helen O. Dilse, age 88 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, December 27, 2004, at the Villa Marie Nursing Center.
Mrs. Dilse was born April 22, 1916, at Leadwood, Mo., the daughter of Firmin D. and Julia Ann Saunchgraw Smith, both deceased. She was married on May 29, 1937 at Flat River, Mo., to Thomas L. Dilse, who preceded her in death on November 16, 1979.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1937, Mrs. Dilse attended school in Flat River, Mo. A homemaker, Mrs. Dilse had been employed by the Missouri Dept. of Revenue in the Motor Vehicle Section for several years prior to her retirement in 1971.
She was a member at the First Assembly of God Church in  Jefferson City, Mo., and a past Sunday school teacher at the First Assembly of God Church in Eldon, Mo.
Survivors include one daughter: Anita Ruth Chapman and her husband Herb of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one son: Ledru Gene Dilse and his wife Donna of Blue Springs, Mo. ; five grandchildren: Sharon Ruth Holmes and her husband Scott, Carol Ann Stertzer and her husband David, Sara Joyce Garriott and her husband Jon, Daniel Dilse and his wife Miriam and Brian Dilse; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Smith Gasser and five brothers, Charles Smith, Carl Smith, Alford Smith, Eugene Smith and Paul Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2004, at the Freeman Mortuary, the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Interment will be at the High Point Cemetery, High Point, Mo.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The First Assembly of God Church Missions Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Mortuary.
