Mrs. Sarah June Beard, age 82 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Capital Region Medical Center.
June was born on April 22, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo. the daughter of Hershel and Hattie Cruce Palsgrove. She was married in 1955 in Jacksonville, Ill. to Ralph Beard who preceded her in death on March 28, 1992.
June was employed with the Bell Telephone System from 1948 until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, a volunteer for Hospice, and a member of Pioneers of America. June enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: her daughter, Patricia Davis and husband John; four grandchildren, Jason Davis and wife Leah, Mark Davis and wife Joan, Sarah Jacobs and husband Matthew and Mary Rebecca Davis; five great-grandchildren, A. J. Davis, Jackson Davis, Austin Davis, Jordan Jacobs and Lauren Davis.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will take place before the service from 10:00 until 11:00 am Thursday.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, May 20, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with Monsignor Donald Lammers officiating. Interment will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday May 21, 2010, at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Ill.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Peter Catholic School.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Harriet I. Boyer, 94, of  Jefferson City, Missouri, died May 17, 2010, at Heisinger Lutheran Home.
Harriet was born in St. Louis on February 10, 1916, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Reden Schauber. She graduated from Normandy High School at the age of 15 and went on to attend Harris Teachers College in St. Louis and to receive her Master’s degree in Education from Webster College.
On September 16, 1942, Harriet was united in marriage to Dr. Mark Allen Boyer in Providence, Rhode Island. He survives her at home. Harriet played an integral role in the educational development of countless Missouri youngsters as a first grade teacher with the Normandy and University City public schools for more than thirty years. Harriet and Mark made their home in Normandy where they raised their two sons. They later lived in Laurie before moving to  Jefferson City in 1985, where they enjoyed participating in several square and round dancing organizations both as members and as teachers, exercising at the YMCA, dining at Mel’s Café, and attending Wesley United Methodist Church.
Harriet is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-seven years, Mark Allen Boyer; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Peter and Diane Boyer of  Jefferson City and Mike and Bonnie Boyer of Littleton, Colorado; her five grandsons and their wives, Mark and Lori Boyer of Oak Park, Illinois, Dr. Gregory and Kristin Maienschein Boyer of  Jefferson City, Timothy and Mayuko Boyer of Culver City, California, and Scott Boyer and Theo Boyer, both of Denver, Colorado; and her seven great-grandchildren, Lily, James, Kate, Liza, Will, Sakura, and Neo, each of whom adored her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Krekeler,
Those wishing to offer their condolences to the family may do so Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Heisinger Lutheran Home Chapel. A private family memorial service officiated by Chaplain Jim Mueller will be held earlier that day.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Donald R. Sell, age 50 years, of Fulton, MO., passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his home.
Don was born November 11, 1959 in Great Bend, Kansas the son of Donald E. and Patsy Ruth Koelling Sell. He was married on September 7, 1983 in Fulton, MO. to Glenda.
A life long resident of the central Missouri area, Don attended school in Clinton, MO.
He served in the United States Army from 1978 until 1980. Don had been employed for over thirty years in security with the Missouri Department of Mental Health at the Fulton State Hospital until his recent retirement in November 2009.
He was an avid outdoorsmen and loved hunting, camping, fishing, and boating. Survivors include: his loving wife of twenty-six years, Glenda Sell, of the home; two sons, Donald P. Sell and Christopher Michael Sell, both of Fulton, MO. ; his father and step-mother, Donald E. and Lynda Sell of Independence, MO. ; three sisters, Kay Ingraffia and Steve Miller of Hewitt, Texas , Lela Gruebel and her husband Robert of Grain Valley, MO., and Kathy Smith and her husband Danny of  Jefferson City, MO; two step sisters, Jill Springate and her husband Jonny of Independence, MO. and Jeana Higginbottom of Belton, MO. ; one step brother, Jeff Bowers and his wife Mindy of Lees Summit, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Ruth Sell.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend R. W. Beard officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Lucille L. Wallace, age 82 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Friday, May 21, 2010.
Mrs. Wallace was born on June 16, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Eddie L. and Ruby C. Parker Lewis. She was married on November 16, 1951 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Forrest M. Wallace, Jr. who preceded her in death on September 6, 1983.
A life long resident of the central Missouri area, Lucille graduated from  Jefferson City High School and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
Lucille was employed at various legislative positions including the Secretary of State’s Office, the Speaker of the House, but her favorites being with the Missouri State Governor’s Office under the Warren Hearnes Administration and the Missouri Oil Council. She also worked part time doing legislative research until her retirement in 2000.
She was a member at the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She spent many hours as a volunteer at the First United Methodist Church, a docent with the Governor’s Mansion, the Cole County Historical Society, and Meals on Wheels.
Lucille always enjoyed spending time at her place at the Lake of the Ozarks where she would fish anytime she got a chance. She also had a great love for all animals, especially her dog Honey; but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: her son, David Wallace and his wife Annette of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one daughter, Janet Schiel and her husband Joe of St. Louis, Mo. ; two grandsons, Luke Schiel and Blake Schiel; three step grandchildren, Tina Woehr and her husband Gerald, Melanie Bax and her husband Scott, Adam Wankum and his wife Martha; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lewis; two nieces, Julie Kreps and her husband Steve, and Nancy Sell and her husband Randy; and one nephew, Jim Lewis and his wife Tina. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, Eddie Parker Lewis.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Monday.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Mark Dumas officiating. Entombment will be held at the Mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Friends of the  Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Victor George Wilmsmeyer, age 95 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
He was born February 22, 1915, in Hartsburg, Mo., the son of William and Minnie Vahrenburg Wilmsmeyer. He was married to Irene Offel on November 20, 1937, who preceded him in death on December 10, 1990. On April 6, 2002, he was united in marriage to Maxine Humphreys. Vic was an avid farmer all of his life in the Central Missouri area. He loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed attending the area weekly senior dances and a good card game.
He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, Mo.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Maxine Wilmsmeyer, of the home; three step-children and their families: Jim Humphreys and his wife Susan of Hannibal, Mo., Karen Scheidt and her husband Mike of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara Belt and her husband David of Parkville, Mo. ; a nephew, Richard Woods, and five nieces, Helen Bouck, Ruth Barnes, Mary Salmons, Susie Butcher, and Anna Allen; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and their families; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Herbert Wilmsmeyer; and his sisters, Elda Woods and Cora Woods.
Visitation will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Shiloh United Methodist Church with the Reverend Paul Pennington officiating. Interment will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery in  Jefferson City, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Nadia A. Craver, age 82 years, of  Jefferson City, MO., passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home.
Nadia was born December 17, 1927 in California, MO. the daughter of Edgar and Ola Mae Kindle Palmer. She was married on November 5, 1950 in California, MO. to Charles H. Craver who preceded her in death on October 4, 2007.
A life long resident of the central Missouri area, Nadia was a 1945 graduate of California High School.
She was employed as an Executive Secretary with the Missouri Division of Health from 1945 until 1965. She was also employed as a bookkeeper with the Missouri Air Conservation Commission, the Missouri Bankers Association, the Independent Insurance Agents of Missouri, and the Missouri Personnel Division until her retirement in 1981.
Nadia was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the First United Methodist Bell Choir, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the National Button Society, Missouri Button Society, the Morning Music Club, the Cherry Street Workers, and Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
She enjoyed cross stitching and button collecting.
Survivors include: her cousin and life long best friend, Arley Palmer of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one niece, Veryleta Ann Palmer Skates of the state of Colorado; and one great nephew and two great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Veryl Guy Palmer in 1938.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM Thursday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Mark Dumas officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Harvey L. Morgan, age 67 years, of Lohman, Mo., died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his home. .
Harvey was born February 11, 1943 in Neosho, Mo. the son of Clayton C. and Mildred Nell Pierson Morgan. He was married on August 14, 1992 in  Jefferson City, Mo., to Sharon L. Kespohl. A resident of the central Missouri area for the past thirty-eight years, Harvey received a B. S. from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas and a M. S. W. from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
He was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Social Services and the Missouri Division of Family Services retiring as Fiscal Management Administrator on July 1, 2000.
He was a member of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and the Capital City Fly Fishers.
Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Survivors include; his wife, Sharon L. Morgan; one son, Robert L. Morgan and his wife Tonya of Claremore,  Oklahoma; three step daughters, Cynthia Lynn Roesch and her husband Michael of Pacific, Mo., Catherine Ellen Michel of St. Louis, Mo., and Cassandra Ruth Michel of St. Louis, Mo. ; one sister, Barbara Ann Allan of Joplin, Mo. ; one brother, Jimmie Clayton Morgan and his wife Juanice of Pittsford, New York; six grandchildren, Robert, Dustin, Hollie, Kari, Jennifer, and Tyler; nine great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sandra Sloniker of LaBelle, Mo. ; a brother-in-law, Fred Kespohl of Palmyra, Mo. ; and a family friend, Jim Tieszen of St. Louis, Mo.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Conservation Federation of Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Lecil C. Simmons, age 89 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Capital Region Medical Center.
Lecil was born April 10, 1921 in Wilson, Arkansas the daughter of Luther and Sophie Thompkins Harris. She was married to Maceo A. Simmons who preceded her in death on December 25, 1974.
She was employed as a Dormitory Director with Lincoln University for over twenty years until her retirement in 1986.
She was a member of Quinn Chapel, a.m. E. in  Jefferson City
Survivors include: her son, Leonard Simmons of  Jefferson City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Lawrence Simmons.
Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to charity of their choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
