Mr. Perry L. Clark, age 80 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, August 27, 2010 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. after injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Perry was born May 29, 1930 in Eldorado, Illinois the son of Lloyd W. and Lillian Drone Clark. He was married on June 18, 1955 in Marion, Illinois to Jo Ann Lashley.
He graduated from Herrin High School, Herrin, Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois.
Perry served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1954, Perry was employed Universal CIT Credit Co. then employed with Ford Motor Credit until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he delivered vehicles for Mike Kehoe Ford.
He attended the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Perry was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Jo Ann Clark, three sons: Rick J. Clark and wife Dianne of St. Peters, Mo., Randall L. Clark and wife Patricia of Columbia, Mo., and Ross G. Clark of O’Fallon, Mo. He had six grandchildren: Andrew Clark and wife Megan of Columbia, Mo. ; Abigail, Allison and Alexander Clark of St. Peters, Mo. ; and Darcie and Anthony Clark of Columbia, Mo.
Other survivors include: three sisters-in-law: Jaclyn Hancock of Marion, Illinois, Janis Laube and husband Bruce of South Windsor, Conn. and Jeanne Nelson of Denton, Texas ; four nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, William H. Clark on August 31, 2002.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 2, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with Monsignor Michael Flanagan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center or the Clark Grandchildren Educational Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Daphne M. Dunn, age 44 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Marys Health Center.
Daphne was born October 28, 1965 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Roger L. Sr., and Jolyne M. Toebben Dunn. A life long resident of the  Jefferson City area, Daphne was a 1984 graduate of  Jefferson City High School where she participated in the marching band.
She was employed with Westlake Ace Hardware for seven years and with Scholastic, Inc. for sixteen years. Currently, she was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources. Daphne enjoyed making Christmas ornaments for family and friends, collecting Holly Hobby memorabilia, growing flowers, and bird watching. She was always ready to offer help to anyone in need, and even though she has passed away, many other people will continue to benefit from her anatomical gift of life. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include: her son, Skylar G. Dunn of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; her daughter, Shelby L. Dunn of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; her parents, Roger, Sr. and Jolyne Dunn of  Jefferson City, Mo; two brothers, Roger L. Dunn, Jr. of  Jefferson City, Mo. and Douglas A. Dunn and his wife Laura of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; three nieces, Elizabeth Dunn, Allison Dunn, and Britini Johnson; three nephews, William Dunn, Henry Dunn, and George Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Helen Toebben, her paternal grandparents, James and Aemilda Dunn, her sister-in-law, Jane Dunn, and a nephew, Jason Toebben.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Private interment will be conducted at a later time at Resurrection Cemetery.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Daphne Dunn Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Theresa A. Wilbers, age 82 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 8, 1928 in Frankenstein, Mo. a daughter of Joseph and Clara Haskamp Roettgen. She was married on October 23, 1954 in Camdenton, Mo. to Norman J. “Bud” Wilbers. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Theresa was a 1946 graduate of Frankenstein High School. A homemaker, Theresa had been employed with Oberman’s Manufacturing Company for thirteen years and with the Missouri Highway Dept. for two years.
She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church at Osage Bend, Mo., where she served on St. Margaret Parish Council, the Picnic Committee, and the Quilting Committee. Theresa was selfless and giving, caring for elderly relatives her whole life. She had a kind and gentle spirit but a strong faith in God. She devoted herself to her husband, children, the family farm and was very fond of her black Angus cattle and puppies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, who treasured “Grandma’s cookies” that could always be found in the cookie jar.
Survivors include: her husband, Norman Wilbers; three sons, Mike Wilbers and his wife Janet of Hampshire, Il., Steve Wilbers and his wife Brenda of Osage Bend, Mo., and Danny Wilbers and his wife Jan of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one daughter, Carol Verslues and her husband Kevin of New Bloomfield, Mo. ; ten grandchildren, Shawn Wilbers, Jessica Ardon and her husband Alex, Scott Wilbers, Marcus Wilbers, Lyndsey Wilbers, Alexis Wilbers, Erin Wilbers, Mike Pope, Clayton Wilbers and Nicole Lawson; five step-grandchildren, Emily Schulte, Matt Evers, Jessica Hughes, Logan Verslues and Brianne Verslues; two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and six brothers and sisters, Helen Schaefer, Emma Eberl, Catherine Roettgen, Josephine Roettgen, Bill Roettgen and John Roettgen.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:30 until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2010 with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:00 PM in the Freeman Chapel. Visitation will also be at St. Margaret Catholic Church from 9:30 until 10:30 AM Friday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 AM Friday, September 10, 2010 at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Osage Bend, Mo. with the Reverend Gregory Meystrik officiating. Interment will be at St. Margaret Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Margaret Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Elmer Syver Quammen, age 94 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Joseph Bluffs surrounded by his daughters. Elmer was born June 28, 1916 in Lidgerwood, North Dakota a son of Syver O. and Kristen Hagen Quammen. He was married on October 10, 1940 in Lidgerwood, North Dakota to Ramona Williams who preceded him in death on March 7, 2004. Elmer retired on January 1, 1980. During his thirty-four years with the company, he worked for Standard Oil, American Oil, Amoco, and now British Petroleum.
Elmer moved to Heisinger Bluffs with his dog Baxter on January 1, 2006 and moved to St. Joseph Bluffs on January 1, 2009.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jane Coffman and her husband Coby of  Jefferson City, Mo. and Jill Sally and her husband Bob of Aurora, Illinois; one brother, Edward L. Quammen of Studio City, California; four grandchildren, Tony Sally and his wife Jennifer, Kristine Dwyer and her husband Michael, Nancy Coffman, and Lindsey Coffman; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mona; one sister, Dorothy Eckdale; and one brother, George Quammen. Private graveside services and interment will be conducted on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Wiley Winton Tracy, age 84 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Wiley was born July 5, 1926 in Anderson, Mo. a son of Winton G. and Betty G. Strickland Tracy. He was married on April 4, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Oma Lee Barnes. A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1972, Wiley graduated from Anderson High School, Anderson, Mo. He attended Drury College in Springfield, Mo. and graduated from the University of Arkansas with degrees in physical education and history.
Wiley enlisted in the United States Navy in June, 1944. He served at the Amphibious Training Center in Coronado, California. The balance of the war, he was assigned to the USS Carlisle A. P. A. 69 in the South Pacific. He was discharged in June, 1946 at Lambert Field in St. Louis, Mo.
Wiley taught and coached in the public school at White Rock and Anderson, Mo. He served as a Boy Scout Executive in the Sekan Area Council in Independence, Kansas; the Mark Twain district in Hannibal, Mo. ; the Kansas City Area Council in Kansas City, Mo., and the Great Rivers Council in  Jefferson City, Mo. prior to his retirement in 1992. After his retirement from scouting, he was a part-time tour guide at the Missouri State Capitol Building. He was a member of the First Baptist Church; the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; the Missouri Historical Society; the Cole County Historical Society; and a past member of the Host Lions Club.
Survivors include: his wife of fifty-eight years, Oma Lee Tracy; one daughter, Colette Carpenter and her husband Joe of Overland Park, Kansas; one son, Bryan Tracy and his wife Bobette of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; two grandchildren, Tracy Hearshman and her husband Dan of Olathe, Kansas and Matthew Carpenter and his wife Loren of Denver, Colorado; and two great-granddaughters, Avery and Hayden Hearshman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Winton G. Tracy, Jr. and Gene S. Tracy.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Brint Hilliard officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of  Jefferson City, Mo. or the Great Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Donald V. Babcock, age 81 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., was ushered into the presence of God Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Villa Marie Nursing Center.
Donald was born September 5, 1929 in Syracuse, New York the son of Carl and Velma Bear Babcock. He was married on August 16, 1953 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to JoElise S. Fitzpatrick.
He graduated from Syracuse High School, Syracuse, New York and the University of Missouri at Columbia with a Masters in Physics.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Donald was a professor at Lincoln University where he taught physics for over thirty years and was honored in 2005 as Professor Emeritus for his work at the University. He also taught at Westminster College, State Fair College, and the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was a member of the First Assembly of God family; a member of the Evening Lions Club; and a past member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Assn.
Donald’s greatest passion was investigating the word of God and examining how religion and science worked together. He loved to read and memorized the Book of John from the Bible.
Survivors include: his wife of fifty-seven years, JoElise Babcock; one daughter, Pamela Rippstein and her husband Glen of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one son, Richard D. Babcock; four grandchildren, Kaleb Rippstein and his wife Angela, Amber Rippstein, Joshua Rippstein, and Victoria Rippstein; one great grandson, Carsen Rippstein; one step great granddaughter, Paige Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Visitation will be at First Assembly of God from 9:30 until 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at First Assembly of God with the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Parkinson Foundation or the American Diabetes Assn.

Mrs. Kathleen A. Winkler, age 57 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at her home.
Kathleen was born October 24, 1952 in Meta, Mo. the daughter of Bernard J. and Helen Zimmer Winkelman. She was married on June 5, 1993 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Lance Winkler.
A life long resident of the central Missouri area, Kathleen received a masters in education from Lincoln University. She was a dedicated educator in central Missouri all of her life. Kathleen was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: her husband, Lance Winkler; her mother, Helen Winkelman of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; step son, Tyler Winkler and his wife Monica of Denver, Colorado; one step daughter, Ryan Winkler of St. Louis, Mo. ; four sisters, Donna Sullivan of Shawnee, Kansas, Linda Orscheln and her husband Art of Loose Creek, Mo., Marilyn Schieder and her husband Jerome of Liberty, Mo., and Theresa Smith and her husband Russell of Hastings, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 16, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, September 17, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Monsignor David Cox officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Helias Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Hazel A. Tipton, age 80 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born January 10, 1930 in Macon, Mo. the daughter of Edward and Alta Grace Paris Agee. She was married on March 14, 1946 in Moberly, Mo. to Henry Tipton, who preceded her in death on July 2, 1997. Hazel has been a resident of the  Jefferson City area for the past fifty years.
A homemaker, she had been employed with A-1 Plumbing for several years. Survivors include: two daughters, Sue Tipton of  Jefferson City, Mo. and Grace Tipton of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one granddaughter, Dena Young of Mountain View, Mo. ; two great grandchildren, Savannah Young and Matthew Young; and three great great grandchildren, Dominique Young, Justyn Printz, and Jacob Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and daughter, Judy Bush.
Private graveside services and interment will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

Mr. Lemuel L. “Leon” Todd, age 52 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Villa Marie Nursing Center.
Leon was born June 26, 1958 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Sherman E. and Jessie M. Blanton Todd.
A life long resident of the  Jefferson City area, Leon attended  Jefferson City Schools.
Leon enjoyed shopping, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He loved going to the New Horizons to visit with friends. He lived in Maple Wood until ill health forced him to move to Villa Marie Nursing Center. The family would like to thank Cory, Leshia, Ashley, and Gabbi for the care they gave while at Villa Marie.
Survivors include: four sisters, Paulette Todd, Vaunitta Matheney, Theresa Bracher, and Lessa Clemons, all of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one brother, Kenny Todd of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; his companion, Kathy Hillard of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He had one special little niece, Skylar Jean Todd who stole his heart and made him happy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven brothers and sisters, Herbert Eugene Todd, Sonny Reed, Robert Todd, Ronnie Todd, Jaunitta Mahan, Rosalla Ryan, and Beverly Fisher.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with Chaplain Bruce Gardner officiating. Interment will be at Longview Cemetery.
