RUSTEMEYER
Herbert John Rustemeyer, 60, Centertown, died Aug. 20, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born
Feb. 3, 1939, in Cole County, a son of Harry J. and Loretta Schulte Rustemeyer. He was married
Sept. 13, 1958, in St. Martins, to Rita Mae Schenewerk, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Helias High School in 1957. He retired in 1995 as manager of the Culligan Water Conditioning Co. in Jefferson City, where he had worked for 37 years.
He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin Knights of Columbus Council 7194 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693. He was a past president of Cole County Water District No. 3 and a former Webelos Boy Scout leader.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Donna Jean Toebben, Centertown; two sons, Ronald D. Rustemeyer, Centertown, and Randall L. Rustemeyer, California; one sister, Johanna Rademann, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith Herbert Rustemeyer, and one granddaughter.
Services will be at noon Monday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Martin Knights of Columbus Council, the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Heart Association.
SPURLOCK
Samuel Clifton Spurlock, 83, Gravois Mills, died Aug. 20, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born
June 23, 1916, in Versailles, a son of Paul O. and Grace Darling Clifton Spurlock. He was married
Sept. 16, 1939, to Mary Anna Gleason, who died Sept. 18, 1993.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired sales manager for Jerry Smith Buick and Max Griffith Oldsmobile, and worked for Metro Automobile Auction, all in Kansas City.
He was a member of Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie and the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Independence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kathleen Albin, Raytown, and Jeanne Patterson, Lee's Summit; two sisters, Pauline Steinbrueck, Warrenton, Va., and Ruth Andersen, Burnsville, Minn.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Msgr. Gerard Poelker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
BRENTS
Lawrence Martin Brents, 84, Barnett, died Aug. 16, 1999, at the Alzheimers Center of Kansas City, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born
Nov. 16. 1914, in Kansas City, a son of Fred and Effie Knight Brents. He was married
April 17, 1965, to Lucille Ruth Moore, who died Aug. 16, 1997.
A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was a welder at Fendco Corp., Kansas City, until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen L. Pruett, Bonner Springs, Kan., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The remains were cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
KUNZELMAN
Ethel Payne Kunzelman, 92, St. Louis, formerly of Lohman, died Aug. 22, 1999, at I.H.S. Nursing Home, South St. Louis County.
She was born
April 1, 1907, near Lohman, a daughter of William C. and Katherine Scheperle Payne. She was married
June 5, 1938, in Lohman, to M.H. "Tex" Kunzelman, who died Aug. 13, 1966.
She was a graduate of Russellville High School and a 1932 graduate of the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis.
A past resident of El Paso, Texas, she was a homemaker.
She lived in the St. Louis area for most of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Kunzelman, St. Louis County.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jerome Brownlee will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

KUPFER
Albert Glenn "Scooter" Kupfer, 77, Camdenton, died Aug. 22, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Jan. 11, 1922, in Springfield, Ill., a son of Albert and Lillian Reeves Kupfer. He was married
in 1943 to Elizabeth Brannan, who survives at the home.
He was a 1941 graduate of Beardstown High School, Beardstown, Ill., and an Army veteran of World War II.
A former resident of Beardstown and Macomb, Ill., he worked as a carpenter.
He then attended the School of Horology at Bradley University, where he studied clock, jewelry and watch repair.
He owned and operated a jewelry store in Pana, Ill., and Macomb. He also worked at Sturhan Jewelers, Macomb.
After his retirement in 1983, he moved to Camdenton, where he continued to work in watch repair. He was a past member of the Elks Club, American Legion and the Moose Lodge.
Other survivors include: four sons, Bill Kupfer and Bob Kupfer, both of Camdenton, and Brad Kupfer and Bruce Kupfer, both of Denver; two daughters, Diane Maher and Debbie Barr, both of Denver; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Alexius Catholic Church, Beardstown. Burial will be in City Cemetery, Beardstown.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
PACE
Louis W. Pace, 79, California, died Aug. 22, 1999, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born
Aug. 10, 1920, in Elston, a son of Fred and Elizabeth "Elsie" Wehmeyer Pace. He was married
April 4, 1980, in Sedalia, to Nadine Gouge Allen, who survives at the home.
He attended Centertown School. An automobile mechanic for various garages in the area, he retired from Riley Chevrolet in 1982.
He worked in the CCC camps and was an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of Elston Methodist Church and Centertown American Legion.
Other survivors include: two sons, Richard A. Pace, Lee's Summit, and David R. Pace, Hickory Hill; one stepson, Jerry L. Allen, Centertown, one stepdaughter, Judy Buerky, Jamestown; one brother, Robert Pace, Wentzville; three sisters, Faye Ray, Centertown, Ruth Larimore, Prairie Home, and Margaret Edwards, Kansas City; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
One son, Jimmy Lee Pace, died in 1974.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Steve Foley and the Rev. Steven Strauch will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

VOGEL
Blandina A. Vogel, 88, Jefferson City, died Aug. 22, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born
July 22, 1911, in Jefferson City, a daughter of George J. and Mathilda Schulte Lueckenhoff. She was married
Aug. 29, 1934, in Jefferson City, to Fred Vogel, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was a secretary at the Secretary of State's Office from 1930 to 1933 and worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from 1933 to 1934.
She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, the St. Joseph Ladies Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, Guadeloupe Interparish Circle, Lady of the Holy Sepulchre and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary.
Other survivors include: six daughters, Mary Ann Hyleck, Dorlene Prather, Susan Lansford and Sally Schnieders, all of Jefferson City, Jane Long, Lee's Summit, and Carole Leslie, Thibodaux, La.; three brothers, Clarence Lueckenhoff, Jefferson City; Charles Lueckenhoff, Warner Robins, Ga., and George Lueckenhoff, Kansas City; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. Fred Elskamp will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph's Home for the Aged, the Carmelite Monastery or the Helias Foundation.
FARAH
Robert S. Farah, 76, Sunrise Beach, died Aug. 21, 1999, at Laurie Care Center, Laurie.
He was born
Jan. 25, 1923, in Akron, Ohio, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Farah. He was married
to Beverly Drew, who survives at the home.
A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was a restaurant owner.
No services are planned. The body was cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
