Mr. Randy M. Scheulen, age 48 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Capital Region Medical Center.
Randy was born December 8, 1962 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the son of James M. and Beverly Brewster Scheulen. He was married on February 24, 1990 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Wendy Palmer. They have remained friends throughout the years.
A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Randy graduated from Cole County R-V High School in Eugene, Mo. He was baptized in the faith of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, currently the Community of Christ Church.
Randy was employed with the Scheulen family auto parts business, Capital Auto Parts in  Jefferson City for twenty-three years. Currently, he was employed as a salesman with  Jefferson City Auto Supply.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle going on bike trips with his many friends. Randy enjoyed Nascar and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. He also enjoyed the friendship of all his good neighbors. Randy liked calling on his customers and visiting with them on a day to day basis. They were more than customers, they were friends. Survivors include: his mother, Beverly Scheulen of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; three brothers, James Michael Scheulen of  Jefferson City, Mo., Daniel L. Scheulen of  Jefferson City, Mo., and David Brewster Scheulen and Connie Joseph of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; aunt, Lorna Wyss of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; uncle, Dudley Brewster of Venice, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Scheulen; his paternal grandparents, Monroe and Lorene Scheulen; and his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Daisy Brewster.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with Bryan Huffendick officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Randy Scheulen Memorial Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Ann McDowell, age 76 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Capital Region Medical Center after internal complications.
Ann was born August 7, 1934 in  Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Elmer and Charlsie Snelling Martin. She was married on May 26, 1956 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Harold D. McDowell.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Ann was a 1952 graduate of  Jefferson City High School.
A homemaker, she had been employed with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue and with McDowell Realty and Insurance Co.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church; the Order of the Eastern Star: the Auxiliary of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; and the Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693. Ann was an avid Jay football fan and was also a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader. Harold and Ann were co-chairmen of the Class of 1952 Reunions. She was a volunteer with the March of Dimes and enjoyed her card club.
Harold and Ann enjoyed dancing, playing slot machines, but most importantly, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: her husband of fifty-five years, Harold McDowell; one son, Rick McDowell and his wife Sally of Parkville, Mo. ; two daughters, Cindy Lipp and fiancé Craig Perkins of Columbia, Mo. and Suzie Settle and her husband Mike of Lee’s Summit, Mo. ; one brother, Kenneth Martin and his wife Mary of Warrensburg, Mo. ; six grandchildren, Madison McDowell, Corey Lipp, Austin Lipp, Steven Settle, Kaleb Settle, and Megan Settle; and one great-grandson, Jackson Settle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Taylor McDowell, one brother, James Martin, and three sisters, Pauline Bemboom, Imogene Bemboom, and Brenda Keys.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Doyle Sager officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jay Football Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Rosemary E. Gordon, age 93 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her home.
Rosemary was born October 24, 1917 in Columbia, Mo. the daughter of George H. and Emma Pearl Davis Edwards. She was married on August 18, 1938 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Herbert L. Gordon, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 23, 2001.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Rosemary graduated from  Jefferson City High School.
A homemaker, Rosemary was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She provided loving care to her family through her sewing, cooking, and gentle guidance. She loved to read and was a very special friend to all those who knew her. She and husband, Herb owned and operated Herb Gordon Appliance from 1948 until 2001.
Rosemary was a member of the First Christian Church and the Rebekah Social Circle. Survivors include: one son, Herbert L. “Bo” Gordon, Jr. and his wife Jeanne Marr Gordon of Lake Ozark, Mo. ; one daughter, Susie Gordon Downard and her husband John of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Curtis Gordon Hanrahan of  Jefferson City, Mo., Paige Gordon Phifer of Middleway, West Virginia, Betsy Gordon Marshall of Richmond, Mo., and Stacy Downard Phillips of Ashland, Mo. ; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Geneva Mason.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Barbara Gulick officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice Compassus or the First Christian Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Joy Ann Eghbali, age 49 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at her home.
She was born on January 14, 1962 in Fulton, Mo., the daughter of Johnny E. and Judith A. Kennett Campbell. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Joy attended  Jefferson City Public Schools. Joy was a thoughtful and loving person, who often went above and beyond for her family and friends. Survivors include: her two sons, Jonathan Eghbali and Nathanael Eghbali both of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; her parents, Johnny and Judith Campbell; her longtime friend, Wade Kays of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; her brother, John Campbell of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; two uncles, Charley Salmons and his wife Candace of Fulton, Mo. and Roy Campbell and his wife Carol of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; and one aunt, Joy Roesger and her husband Bill of  Jefferson City, Mo.
Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2011.
A Celebration of Joy’s Life will be conducted at 6:00 PM Thursday in the Freeman Chapel. Private graveside services and interment will be conducted at New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Callaway County, Mo.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice in Joy’s name.

Lester B. Kesterson, age 94 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at  Jefferson Manor Care Center.
He was born September 6, 1916 in Oxly, Mo., the son of Joe and Pearl Armour Kesterson. He was married on December 26, 1937 to Anna F. Pender in Naylor, Mo. Anna preceded him in death on January 31, 2009 after 71 years of marriage.
A resident of  Jefferson City since 1962, Lester was a 1935 graduate of Naylor High School. He received a B. S. degree in Education in 1941 after attending Southwest Baptist College and Southwest Missouri State University. He served in the Army as a Classifications Specialist in Marburg, Germany in 1945-46. He completed a Masters degree in Secondary Education at the University of Missouri in 1948. He did further graduate study at New York University.
Lester was an educator for 39 years. He was a principal and basketball coach in Naylor and Eminence, Mo. and a math and science teacher at Poplar Bluff High School. He was one of the first educators in Missouri in the field of High School Cooperative Occupational Education (C. O. E. ), teaching in Poplar Bluff, Nevada, Springfield and St. Louis (Normandy). During summers he taught teacher education courses in this field at SMS and MU. In 1962 he became the Director of Cooperative, Industrial and Distributive Education for the Missouri Department of Education until retiring in 1978. After retirement he enjoyed serving as Vice-President of the Missouri Florists Association and later as a tax preparer for H&R Block.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Missouri State Teachers Association, Cole County Retired Teachers, AARP and American Legion. While working he held many leadership positions in state and national organizations in his career field including the American Vocational Association and Distributive Education Clubs of America.
Lester was so grateful to God for his loving family and all of the memorable family celebrations through the years. He loved his church and the friends and fellowship shared in worship and service to God. He enjoyed the blessings of his farm, raising cattle, growing flowers and vegetables, fixing and building things, fishing, horseback riding, traveling and playing with his grandkids and Mom’s cooking. His family and those who knew him have been blessed and inspired by his sacrificial love, faithfulness, goodness, and gentleness.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jeanie Adams (Steve) of  Jefferson City, Judie Cline (Larry) of Dallas, Texas , and Beverly Johnson (Buck) of Dawson, Georgia; six grandchildren, Laura Glover, Allison Holliday, Teresa Whitley, Marla Rubsam, Kyle Adams, and Joel Adams; eight great-grandchildren, Garrett Glover, Dylan, Chloe and Lily Holliday, Lathon and Kathryn Whitley, and Braden and Logan Rubsam; one brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Sondra Kesterson of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and an infant sister.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, June 10, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark Dumas and the Reverend Chris Dumas officiating. Visitation will be in the sanctuary at 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM and also following the service. Private entombment with military honors will be at the Mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of  Jefferson City, Mo.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Margaret C. Brand, age 89 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born May 10, 1922 in Meta, Mo. the daughter of Joseph L. and Catherine Herigon Evers. She was married on January 19, 1946 in Meta, Mo. to Werner Henry Brand, who preceded her in death on November 28, 1959.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Margaret was employed with the International Shoe Factory, St. Mary’s Health Center, and operated Willibrands Café for a short time. She was then employed with Unilever for twenty-three years prior to retiring on March 1, 1992.
Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include: three daughters, Lucy C. Schmidt of Fair Grove, Mo., Sharon L. Hoffman and her husband Jim of Columbia, Mo., and Joann Long and her husband Kenny of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; two brothers, Frank Evers of Neosho, Mo. and Joseph Evers of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one sister, Marie Barnett and her husband Lewis of Valley Park, Mo. ; seven grandchildren, Jason Schmidt, Angela Brand, Craig Brand, Mike Brand, Jamey Brand, Sarah Hoffman, and Miranda Long; and five great grandchildren, Holden Brand, Gavin Brand, Landon Parker, Caleb Miller, and Carrie Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Leon W. Brand on October 25, 1967 and Robert Brand on April 7, 2004; one daughter, Alberta Ann Mantle on July 4, 1989; two sisters, Rita Kampeter and Catherine Thornburg; and one brother, Samuel Evers.
Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Alex Ekka officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Taos. Mo.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Immaculate Conception Church or Hospice Compassus.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Pauline A. McClenathan, age 90 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Villa Marie.
She was born September 24, 1920 in Freeburg, Mo. a daughter of Joseph C. and Catherine T. Kloeppel Wilde. She was married in 1962 in St. Louis, Mo. to William Ahern who preceded her in death in 1979. In October, 1984, she married Lauren McClenathan who preceded her in death in March, 2010.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 2000, Pauline was the chief bookkeeper for the Aluminum Workers International Union in St. Louis, Mo.
She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph; the Auxiliary of the B. P. O. of Elks; and the Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693.
Pauline enjoyed gardening, dancing, cooking, and was an avid traveler. She loved animals, especially her pet poodles, and also loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include: one step-daughter, Patty Belle of Seattle, Washington ; two step-sons, Cart McClenathan of West Virginia and Gary McClenathan of Rhode Island; one brother, Raymond Wilde and his wife Sophia of Koeltztown, Mo. ; fifteen nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Even, Leona Dee, Theola Noblett, and Eleanor Wilde; and one brother, Alphonse Wilde.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon Saturday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 11, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the Holy Family Cemetery in Freeburg, Mo.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Cathedral of St. Joseph.

Mr. Albert E. Deppe, age 69 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his home.
Al was born April 4, 1942 in Bay, Mo. the son of August C. and Florence Marie Helmich Deppe. He was married on November 21, 1959 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Barbara J. Hollandsworth.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Al attended  Jefferson City Public Schools.
He was self-employed contractor with the United States Postal Service for over twenty-five years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church; the Teamsters Local 833; and the United States Bowling Congress. Albert was an avid bowler, who once bowled a perfect score of 300. He also enjoyed working in his yard.
Survivors include: his wife of fifty-one years, Barbara Deppe; one son, Allen E. Deppe of Moberly, Mo. ; one sister, Elsie L. Clad of Centertown, Mo. ; one grandson, Josh Crocker of  Jefferson City, Mo; and son-in-law, Paul Crocker of Joplin, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Deppe; and one daughter, Gayle Crocker.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, June 20, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Melissa Hatfield officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
