Mrs. Pauline H. Blume, age 85 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Pauline was born March 17, 1926 in Lake Wales, Florida a daughter of Thomas H. and Christine Wall Hocker. She was married on June 29, 1946 at St. Peter Church to Anthony J. Blume who preceded her in death on August 11, 2002.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1934, Pauline graduated from  Jefferson City High School in 1944 and the  Jefferson City Junior College in 1946.
She was employed as an Executive Assistant to the President of Central Bank for many years prior to her retirement in 1996.
Pauline was a member of St. Peter Church; the Ladies Sodality; Vice-President of the Home and School Assn. ; and a Girl Scout Leader. She was also a fifty-six year member of “THE” Thursday Night Duplicate Bridge Club.
Survivors include: daughters, Marilyn Blume Carroll and her husband Frank of Des Moines, Iowa and Janet Blume Renkoski and her husband Tony of Leavenworth, Kansas; son, Kevin J. Blume and his wife Dee of Defiance, Mo. ; daughter-in-law, Lorraine K. Blume of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Dr. John Hocker of Jacksonville, Florida; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Laura Blume Helmig on September 26, 1994; and her son, Tony Paul Blume on November 12, 2003.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 9:30 until 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, June 27, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend I. C. Medina officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, Tennessee or the Samaritan Center in  Jefferson City, Mo.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Donald L. Delaney, age 85 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Donald was born September 15, 1925 in Macon, Mo. the son of Michael L. and Mary E. Lynch Delaney. He was married on September 11, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo. to Phyllis J. Crawford who preceded him in death on April 14, 2008.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1956, Don graduated from a Kansas City High School.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was a radio operator in bomber planes in the South Pacific.
Don was employed as a radio telecommunication operator with Central Electric Cooperative from 1956 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in St. Martins, and enjoyed square dancing and gardening with his wife, Phyllis.
Survivors include: three sons, Stephen M. Delaney and Sharon Wiles of  Jefferson City, Mo., Ronald K. Delaney and his wife Lisa of Shreveport,  Louisiana, and Randall K. Delaney of Quebec, Canada; one daughter, Celia J. Wolz and her husband Terry of Centertown, Mo. ; one sister, Anna Beth Thomure of Farmington, Mo. ; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah M. Delaney, one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Delaney, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2011 with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:00 PM in the Freeman Chapel. Visitation will also be from 1:00 until 1:30 PM Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, Mo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 PM Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, Mo. with the Reverend David Viet officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Macon, Mo.
Those desiring may make memorials contributions to the American Lung Assn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Myra J. Saucier, age 64 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born November 27, 1946 in Normal, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Imo Fern Bayles Munson. She was married on December 27, 1965 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Ron L. Saucier.
A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1963, Myra was a 1964 graduate of  Jefferson City High School.
She was employed in sales and promotions with Sprint for twenty-seven years prior to her retirement in 2007.
Myra was a past member of the Auxiliary of the Samuel Gearhart Detachment of the Marine Corps League. She enjoyed reading books by the pool, occasionally a trip to the casinos, and loved having lunch with friends. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include: her husband of forty-five years, Ron Saucier; one son, Randy Saucier and his wife Lynn of Holts Summit, Mo. ; her mother, Fern Munson of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one brother, Tom Munson and his wife Becky of Sedalia, Mo. ; and the light of her life, one grandson, Logan Saucier.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Munson.
A Celebration of Myra’s Life will be held at the Samuel Gearhart Detachment of the Marine Corps League, 4925 Business 50 West, Apache Flats, on Saturday, July 9, 2001, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, as a special request by Myra, memorial contributions are suggested to the Logan Saucier College Scholarship Fund established at Central Bank, c/o Kathy Crow, P. O. Box 779,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65102.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Ferne L. Bret, age 81 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, June 24, 2011 at her home.
Ferne was born March 30, 1930 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Herbert and Elsie Case Jacobs.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Ferne was a 1948 graduate of  Jefferson City High School and a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia.
She was employed as the secretary to the Chief Counsel of the Missouri Highway Dept. for several years prior to her retirement in 1991.
Ferne was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Holts Summit, Mo. .
She enjoyed spending time with friends, entertaining, and when she could sharing her knowledge of the Bible with others. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Allen Bret and his wife Cathi of Holts Summit, Mo. ; one daughter, Lauren A. Bret Sullens of  Jefferson City, Mo. ; one sister, Jane English of California, Mo. ; and four grandchildren, Dawn Sullens Catron, Ryan Bret, Megan Bret, and Micah Bret.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witness at 185 Northstar Dr., Holts Summit, Mo. with David Carey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witness. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. Donald G. Otto, age 76 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the  Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Don was born on January 3, 1935 in  Jefferson City, Mo. where he was raised by his grandparents, Joseph and Addie Garrett. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Don graduated from  Jefferson City High School. He served in the United States Army from August 28, 1956 until March 31, 1962.
Don was employed as a salesman with Cleveland Cotton Products for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed collecting antiques, restoring vintage cars, and square dancing.
Survivors include: a sister, Linda Pennington (Carey) of Tacoma, Washington ; two brothers, Michael Young (Debbie) of Dewey,  Oklahoma and James Love of Peoria, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Young; his uncle, Joseph Garrett; and his grandparents, Joseph and Addie Garrett.
Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 10:30 AM Friday, July 1, 2011.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Friday in the Freeman Chapel with the Deacon Bob Dulle officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Erma F. Gerber. age 75 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Erma was born August 26, 1935 in Hartsburg, Mo. the daughter of Robert L. and Bessie P. Perkins Austeel. She was married on June 3, 1953 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Christ P. Gerber, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 5, 2007.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Erma was a 1953 graduate of  Jefferson City High School.
She was employed as a Mailroom Supervisor with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for several years prior to her retirement in 2002.
Erma was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, MoShe enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include: two sons, Vernal Gerber and his wife Linda of Olathe, Kansas and Jeff Gerber and his wife Stacy of Washington , Mo. ; one daughter, Kathryn Duckett and her husband Greg of Holts Summit, Mo. ; eight grandchildren, Lori Chapman and her husband Kenneth, Mark Branch and his wife Kristina, Matthew Duckett and his wife Melissa, Jessica Speers and her husband Sam, Amanda Stevens, Lindsey Gerber, Christopher Gerber, and Brandon Gerber; six great grandchildren, Allie Chapman, Cole Chapman, Jadin Stevens, Aireana Stevens, Claire Duckett, and Mason Branch; one sister, Edith Sundermeyer and her husband John of New Bloomfield, Mo. ; one brother, Robert M. Austeel and his wife Debra of New Bloomfield, Mo; one brother-in-law, Donald Jeffery of Ashland, Mo. ; and one daughter-in-law, Marty Branch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Branch; one grandson, Justin Gerber; and one sister, Carolyn Jeffery.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Kenneth Chapman and the Reverend David Hartsfield officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at the Bonds Chapel Cemetery near Hartsburg, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Bonds Chapel Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Joan E. Bennett, age 83 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at her home.
She was born on August 27, 1927 in Rose Park, South Australia to Richard E. and Ruth Dollman Nisbet. She was married on January 13, 1945 in Alberton, South Australia to Capt. William Bennett, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1997.
A resident of  Jefferson City since 1968, Joan was employed with Scholastics, Inc for over 25 years, working from book line to Human Resources. Joan was a member of the American Women’s Business Association, the  Jefferson City Bowling Team, and lifetime member of the Auxiliary of the Retired Officers Association.
She was an avid golfer, a gifted seamstress, enjoyed various puzzles and card games, loved reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: her sons, William J. A. Bennett and his wife Cecelia of Jacksonville, Florida, Steven J. Bennett and his wife Marissa of Linn, Mo., and Michael J. Bennett and his wife Alice of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her grandchildren, Brent Bennett, John Bennett, Shanae Helmig and her husband Ron, and Steven Reimund; and her great-grandchildren, Carter Bennett, Kennedy Bennett, Dustin Bennett, Olivia Helmig and Vivian Helmig; and three sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Joanne R. Bennett in 1948.
Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 am Friday.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, July 8, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Claudette L. Banks, age 58 years, of  Jefferson City, MO. passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born on June 23, 1953 in Kingston, Jamaica, to Vincent Landley and Ethline Phyllis “Esmie” Campbell. She was raised by her maternal grandmother, Doris Mae Morgan, in Grateful Hill, St. Catherine. It was here that she also received her education at the Grateful Hill Primary School.
On completion of her education, she lived and worked with her grandfather, James Campbell, in his convenient store. She later worked as a garment constructor with the Ammar’s Clothing Factory, in Kingston, for 25 years. She was united in marriage on June 29, 1987 with Stanley G. Banks and her family resided in Pigeon Valley, St Andrew, until emigration to  Jefferson City, Mo. in 2002. Claudette was a talented cook and seamstress. She was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. She loved children, watching soap operas, traveling, spending time with her family, and playing dominoes and Loodie. Survivors include: her husband, Stanley Banks of the home; three sons, Gregory Williams of Jamaica, Jayson Wright and his wife, Lorna of Jamaica, and Bentley Banks of Waterloo, Iowa; two daughters, Mona-Lisa Banks of  Jefferson City and Victoria Banks of  Jefferson City; one sister, Sonia Morrison of London, England; four brothers, Osbourne Walker of New York, Maxwell Landley and his wife, Marjorie of Jamaica, Hibbert Landley of Jamaica, and James Landley of Jamaica; seven grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Akeam Williams, Keandra Williams, Rushead Williams, Danielle Wright, Lajay Wright and Mackenzie Wright. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Reginal Morgan and Vincent Landley.
Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Cassandra D. Gould officiating. Graveside services and interment of her cremated remains will be held at a family plot in St. Andrew, Jamaica, at a later date.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Missouri Kidney Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
