Cody Sparks Marshall, age 20 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Cody was born June 18, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of James R. and Merry Jayne Sparks Marshall.
A lifelong resident of  Jefferson City, Cody was a 2010 graduate of  Jefferson City High School.
Cody’s passion was skateboarding and he was a member of the Columbia Skate Team.
Cody enjoyed participating in competitions throughout Missouri and received numerous awards.
For Cody, there was never a bad day to skate, and throughout his many trials and tribulations, there was never a cut or bruise that was going to keep him from skating.
He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his parents, Jim and Merry Marshall of  Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Brittanny Marshall of  Jefferson City, Mo.; niece, Alexa E. Scott; four aunts, and uncles, Sherry Cosier and her husband John of Berkeley, California, Kent Sparks and his wife Mary of the State of Virginia, Sharon Trevathan and her husband Jim of Imperial, Mo., and Tom Marshall and his wife Lisa of Fenton, Mo.; five cousins, Tyler Sparks, Sarah Trevathan, Molly Trevathan, Natalie Marshall, and Audrey Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Marilyn Sparks and his paternal grandparents, James and Nancy Marshall.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2011
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Credille and the Reverend Susan Jaramillo officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Skateboard Park in care of  Jefferson City Parks and Recreation to upgrade the facility in Cody’s honor.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Marie C. Schmidt, age 83 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Joseph Bluffs.
Marie was born March 22, 1928 in Macon, Mo. the daughter of Viggo L. and Mildred L. Shepard Olsen.
She was married on November 30, 1946 in  Jefferson City, Mo. to Matthew B. Schmidt who preceded her in death on August 23, 2008.
A life long resident of the  Jefferson City area, Marie graduated from St. Peter High School.
Marie was a wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph; the Delta Theta Tau Sorority; the United States Marine Corps League Auxiliary; a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; a past member of the Immaculata Club; and a past member of the Cole County Republican Committee.
Marie served as a substitute teacher at Immaculate Conception School and worked at several downtown womens wear establishments.
Survivors include: two sons, Lawrence R. Schmidt and his wife Doris of Columbia, Mo. and Chris L. Schmidt of  Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Melinda Schmidt of Olathe, Kansas and Julie Moser and her husband Steven of Mattoon, Illinois; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Cathedral of St. Joseph from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Reverend Nicholas Reed officiating.
Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Food Bank of North and Central Missouri for the Buddy Pack Program.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Marcelline C. Raithel, age 87 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Marcelline was born April 6, 1924 in Vienna, Mo. the daughter of Ben X. and Emma T. Renkemeyer Stratman.
She was married on November 28, 1948 in Vienna, Mo. to Alvin J. Raithel who preceded her in death on August 3, 2003.
A life long resident of the Central Missouri area, Marcelline attended Visitation Catholic School in Vienna, Mo.
A homemaker, she had been employed in the  Jefferson City Defense Plant during World War II.
She was a member of St. Peter Church; the Ladies Sodality; the Auxiliary of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wyman Baysinger Post 35.
She and her husband had been a volunteers with Meals on Wheels for sixteen years.
Marcelline enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, but most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include: four sons, David J. Raithel and his wife Linda of Russellville, Mo., Douglas B. Raithel and his wife Deborah of Lohman, Mo., Kevin J. Raithel of Russellville, Mo., and Carl A. Raithel of  Jefferson City, Mo.; three daughters, Emily Ann Raithel of  Jefferson City, Mo., Christine M. Gerstner and her husband Larry of  Jefferson City, Mo., and Brenda K. Weidinger and her husband Joe of Vienna, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Bocklage and her husband Charles of Florissant, Mo. and Pat Wall and her husband Tony of  Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Cellus Stratman and his wife Evelyn of Vienna, Mo.; ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and one great grandchild due in November, 2011; and four sisters-in-law, Irene Stratman, Agnes Stratman, Bernice Stratman, and Alice Stratman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, Arthur Stratman, Walter Stratman, Eugene Stratman, Paul Stratman, and A. J. Stratman, and one sister, Rosemary Stratman.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2011 with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:30 PM in the Freeman Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at St. Peter Church with the Reverend Francis Doyle officiating.
Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Peter Church Building Fund or the Cole County Senior Nutrition Program.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Pauline Louise Ittner, age 83, departed this life at Capital Region Medical Center and went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on September 28, 2011.
Pauline was born July 8, 1928, in Honey Creek, the daughter of Edward M. and Orene R. Propst Engelbrecht.
At only the age of 3, her father died leaving her mother, Orene, to raise 3 young girls and a new baby boy.
With Gods' help the family remained together.
She was married on September 15, 1946 in Honey Creek to Walter J. Ittner who preceded her in death on August 25, 1990.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Pauline graduated from the Lutheran grade school in Honey Creek and attended Eugene and  Jefferson City High Schools.
Before becoming married, Pauline worked at Tweedies in  Jefferson City.
After marriage she became a loving and devoted mother to 6 children while helping her husband on the family dairy farm.
Later when her husband went to work in town she also went and worked in town, working at  Jefferson Bank for over 31 years.
Pauline was also a loving and devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, babysitting them often.
In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed making flower garden quilts and afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
But most of all she loved Jesus and enjoyed reading her Bible, especially in her retirement years.
Pauline was a past member of Immanuel Lutheran church where she was a Ladies Aid member and Sunday School Teacher to three dear Special Needs Children.
She was also a past member of Peace Lutheran Church. Currently she was a member since 1990 at Faith Lutheran Church.
Those who will miss Pauline until they meet her in Heaven again include: her children, Thomas (Lisa) Ittner, Janice Lehmen, Michael (Teresa) Ittner, Roger Ittner, Dianne (Michael) Turner, and Donald (Joyce) Ittner, all of  Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Chad Ittner of St. Louis, Julie (John) Chappell of Cassville, Jessica Ittner (John Richardson) of Chicago, Stephanie (Richard) Goldammer of Denver, Michelle (Joseph) Hurster of St. Louis, Michael Lehmen of Springfield, Kylie Turner of UMC Columbia, Rebecca Ittner of UMC Columbia, and Timothy Ittner of  Jefferson City; great-grandchildren, Avery and Jack Chappell of Cassville, Haden and Benjamin Hurster of St. Louis, and Elizabeth Ittner Richardson of Chicago.
Visitation will be at Faith Lutheran Church from 9:30 am until 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church with the Reverend Tony Alter officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Honey Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Words of Faith (Faith Lutheran Church), The Lutheran Hour, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mr. George M. Pohlmann, age 75 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his home.
George was born January 15, 1936 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Martin and Minnie Bleich Pohlmann.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, George graduated from  Jefferson City High School and the  Jefferson City Junior College.
He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960.
George was employed with Capital Savings and Loan and later he was employed as a salesman with the American Tobacco Company for eighteen years prior to his retirement in September, 1988. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed restoring old cars and watching NASCAR.
Survivors include numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday, October 10, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Russ Bowder officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Juanita G. Donehue, age 76 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, February 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s Health Center.
Juanita was born October 1, 1935 in  Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of James and Clara Baumgartner Eynard.
She was married on December 27, 1955 in Warrensburg, Mo. to A. C. “Pete” Donehue, who preceded her in death in July, 1997.
A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Juanita graduated from Fatima High School, Westphalia, Mo.
She received a B. S. degree from Lincoln University and a M. S. degree in Economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
Juanita taught school at Fatima and Helias High Schools where she taught economics, psychology, history, and was the social studies department chairman.
She was one of the original founders of the Helias Foundation and served as the first co-chairman of the Foundation Fund Drive.
She was also the first woman to serve as President of the Helias High School Board of Directors.
She was inducted into the Helias Hall of Fame in 2010.
Juanita began her career with the Missouri Association of Counties in 1974, being appointed Director of Governmental Affairs the following year and Assistant Director in 1979. She became the Executive Director in January, 1980.
In 1981, she received the President’s Award for the National Association of Counties, recognizing her as the Outstanding State Association Executive of the year. In 1985, she became the first woman president of the Missouri Society of Association Executives.
In 1996, she was elected by her peers from around the country as the President of the National Council of County Association Executives.
She retired on August 1, 1999.
Juanita and her husband, Pete, owned and operated C & H Tavern from 1970 until 2003. In 2003, she opened O’Donoghue’s Steaks and Seafood with her son, Sam, and it has become a favorite local restaurant.
Juanita’s contributions to the community are legendary.
She served as treasurer of the  Jefferson City Art Event.
She served on the Old Towne Revitalization Committee, the East Side Business Assn., the Downtown Business Assn. and the  Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce.
She volunteered her time and effort to many historical projects in the community including the revitalization of the east end, co-chairing the Mayor’s Committee to redevelop the central east side and creating the first Tax Increment Financing district in  Jefferson City.
Her restaurant building was placed on the National Register for Historic Preservation of Historic Places in 2002.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was a tireless volunteer in her parish.
She served as chairman of the administrative committee for ten years and worked on several capital campaigns.
She was the current president of the Homeowners Assn. at the Palisades Condominiums at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sally O’Neill and her husband Jim of Fairway, Ks.; one son, Samuel Donehue of  Jefferson City, Mo.; three brothers, James E. Eynard and his wife Agnes of  Jefferson City, Mo., Raphael Eynard of Holts Summit, Mo., and Wayne Eynard and his wife Kathy of Bonnots Mill, Mo.; one sister, Wanda Walker and her husband Ron of Taos, Mo; three grandchildren, Patrick O’Neill, Peter O’Neill, and Thomas O’Neill; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Peter Donehue in July 1987.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2012 with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:30 PM in the Freeman Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, February 10, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Monsignor David Cox and the Reverend George Kramer concelebrating.
Graveside services and interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Helias Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Mrs. Elaine Frances Dominique, age 85 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her home after battling A. L. S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Elaine was born June 8, 1926 at Denver, Colorado the daughter of Raymond and Leona Maher Courtney.
She was married on September 1, 1947 at Denver, Colorado to P. Pierre Dominique.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Denver. She attended St. Joseph’s College in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then the Vance Kirkland School of Art at the University of Denver.
Elaine was the First Lady of the Missouri Bar in 1979-1980; President of the Charles E. Still Hospital Guild and founder of the Blue Boutique Gift Shoppe. She was a member of St. Peter Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader.
She played bridge for a number of years, and was a member of the Mid-Missouri Duplicate Bridge Club and the American Contract Bridge League.
She has over one thousand bridge master points. Survivors include: her husband of sixty-four years, P. Pierre Dominique; five children, John Courtney Dominique of Columbia, Mo., Joseph Pierre Dominique of Corpus Christi, Texas , James Paul Dominique of Overland Park, Kansas, Andrea Suzanne Grogan of Dallas, Texas , and Robert Daniel Dominique of  Jefferson City, Mo.; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012 with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:30 PM in the Freeman Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Peter Church with the Reverend Francis Doyle officiating.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Peter Church or the A. L. S. Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
