KRUMM

Roger Paul Krumm, 62, Fulton, died Nov. 18, 2002, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1940, in Kansas City, a son of Paul and Bettie Jaudon Krumm. He was married Aug. 8, 1981, in Fulton, to Susan Grant, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Southwest High School, Kansas City, and from Westminster College in 1962. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1965. A practicing attorney for more than 30 years, he retired from Krumm and Shryock in 2002. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He was a founding member of the Missouri Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a past chairman of the Missouri Bar's Family Law Section and the special committee on the needs of children. He was past president of the Young Lawyers' Section Council. He received the Missouri Bar's President's Award in 1987 and was a frequent author and lecturer at state and national levels on family law topics. He was an adjunct professor in the paralegal studies program at William Woods University and active in local theater productions. He was past president of Fulton Jaycees and the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of First Christian Church and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Other survivors include: two sons, Rob Krumm, Chanute, Kan., and Dan Krumm, New York City; two daughters, Beth Krumm, St. Louis, and Jane McClellan, Bayside, N.Y.; and one grandson.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Fulton. The Rev. Raymond Dunlap and the Rev. Terry Kukak-Sheppard will officiate. Private family burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after the service in Fellowship Hall.

Memorials are suggested to the Friends of the Callaway Public Library, Fulton, or to the Law School Foundation at University of Missouri School of Law.

Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.

THOENEN

Johanna H. Thoenen, 95, Frankenstein, died Nov. 19, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born March 7, 1907, in Frankenstein, a daughter of J. Gus and Nellie Haslag Kremer. She was married May 6, 1930, in Frankenstein, to Frank Thoenen, who died Jan. 6, 1983.

She attended St. Mary's School and was a member of Our Lady of Help Church in Frankenstein. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: three sons, Philip Thoenen, Loose Creek, Wilfred Thoenen, Linn, and Fred Thoenen, Frankenstein; two daughters, Mildred Ogle, Odessa, and Clara Laughlin, St. Louis; six sisters, Anna Backes and Betty Brandt, both of Linn, Pauline Thoenen, Gertrude Broker and Martha Backes, all of Frankenstein, and Josephine Roettgen,  Jefferson City; 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Help Church. The Rev. Daniel I. J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Gethsemane, Frankenstein.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School, Frankenstein.

CONFER

Phyllis A. Confer, 92, Thornton, Colo., died Nov. 18, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 30, 1910, in Brunker, Colo., a daughter of Arthur E. and Anna M. Stockburger Robbins. She was married April 21, 1933, in Hastings, Neb., to Donald V. Confer, who died Jan. 27, 1998.

She graduated from Akron High School, Akron, Colo. She lived in  Jefferson City for more than 30 years, moving to Colorado in 1998.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at Freeman Mortuary.

COX

Jennifer Annie Cox, 19, Clarksburg, died Nov. 19, 2002, near California, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Feb. 6, 1983, in Cooper County, a daughter of Paul and Sherry Hachler Cox, who survive at the home.

She was a student at State Fair Community College, Sedalia. She was a 2001 graduate of California High School. She worked at Homemaker Health Care and previously worked at California Care Center.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, near Clarksburg, and a past member of Busy Bee 4-H Club.

Other survivors include: her fiancé, William J. Leonard, Jamestown; two brothers, Joey Cox, Latham, and Jeremy Cox, California; one sister, Julie Fisher,  Jefferson City; paternal grandmother, Lida Cox, Latham; and maternal grandmother, Wilma Hachler, Clarksburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, California. The Rev. Keith Chesterman, the Rev. Kevin Blackburn and the Rev. Walter Wood Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, south of Latham.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

GINGRICH

Helen Grace Gingrich, 90, Fulton, died Nov. 20, 2002, at Riverview Nursing Home, Mokane.

She was born Aug. 15, 1912, in Fulton, a daughter of Jacob E. and Madge Beaven Gingrich.

She was a graduate of Kirksville State Teachers College and received a masters degree from the University of Missouri. She was an elementary teacher with the Callaway Public schools from 1933-1943 and with the Fulton Public schools from 1943-1976, when she retired. She was a member of National Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and Fulton Community Teacher's Association. She was featured in "Who's Who in Missouri Education" in 1997. She was a member of First Christian Church, Fulton.

She is survived by one brother, Theodore Gingrich, Larned, Kan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Raymond McCallister and the Rev. Raymond Dunlap will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Kingdom Hospice.

HILL

Thomas R. Hill III, 27, Osage Beach, died Nov. 19, 2002, at his home.

He was born June 5, 1975, in Chicago, a son of Thomas R. Jr. and Sandra Diver Hill, who survive in Osage Beach. He was married Aug. 10, 2002, to Shelby Rohde, who survives at the home.

He was a Missouri Highway patrolman and a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church,  Jefferson City. He was a former Osage Beach police officer and was a member of Kappa-Alpha Fraternity.

He also is survived by two sisters, Dawn Bock, Osage Beach, and Becky Leib, Atlanta.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Camdenton. Fred McDaniel will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Chicago.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, and from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

KNIGHT

Leonard "Red" Knight, 43, Macks Creek, died Nov. 20, 2002, at his home.

He was born June 26, 1959, in Houston, Texas , a son of Earl Sr., and Helen Tucker Knight. He was married Jan. 22, 2001, to Twila Lucas, who survives at the home.

He was a driver for Welch's Gas.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Brittany Elizabeth Knight and Samantha Dalene Knight, both of the home; two brothers, Earl Knight Jr., League City, Texas , and Thomas Knight, Houston; three sisters, Julia Ann Manning, Port Lavada, Texas , Viola Carolyn Clifford, Omalaska, Texas , and Martha Jane Goodson, Bay City, Texas .

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Remembrance in Hedges Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.
