GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Betty Jeane Jones, 65, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died Jan. 31, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Cremation will be at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Edwards L. Jones III of Greenville; one daughter, J.B. Wright Williams of Oak Park, Mich.; one son, Turrell Taylor of Troy, Mich.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Rev. C.W. Ray will officiate.

Roncali

PEARL — Funeral services for Tony Roncali Sr., 66, of Pearl will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, Pearl. He died Feb. 5, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Pearl.

Mr. Roncali was a native of Shaw, Miss., but moved to Pearl 20 years ago from Cleveland. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a retired Pearl police officer, an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, a member of the American Legion and the VFW, a Mason and a member of Pearl Lodge. He loved to fish and work in his yard.

Survivors include his sons, Tony Roncali Jr., of Garner, N.C., Joe and Gene Roncali of Brevard, N.C., and William Roncali of Jackson; daughters Kathy Garcia of Gulfport, and Brenda Hernandez and Cookie Gilder, both of Greenville; brothers Frank Roncali of Newton and Dennon Woods of Shaw; sisters Mary Robertson of Alabama, Elizabeth Giles, Sissy Crockell and Angelina Watkins, all of Indianola; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, Pearl.

Thompson

RULEVILLE — Funeral services for Timothy Thompson Jr., 58, of Ruleville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Jerusalem MB Church, Ruleville. He died Feb. 1, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Mt. Galilee Cemetery, Ruleville, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Mae Thompson of Ruleville; two sons, Johnny Ball of Ruleville and Dewayne Ball of Minnesota; three daughters, Pamela Thompson Howard of Chicago, Deloris Bell of Killeen, Texas, and Debra Hall of Shelby; seven sisters, Grace Jackson, Nellie Thompson, Deloris Jackson and Brenda Jones, all of Chicago, Shirline Washington of El Paso, Texas, Evelyn Antwine of Los Angeles and Dianne Ogburn of Ruleville; two brothers, Roy McWilliams of Chicago and Douglas Thompson of Ruleville; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville.

The Rev. R.D. Jones will officiate.

Walls

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Mary Parker Walls, 47, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Valley MB Church, Vickland. She died Feb. 3, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Vickland Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Karen (Allen) Edwards of Delta City; three grandchildren, Alberda Edwards, Adarin Fults and Eugene Fults Jr., all of Delta City; two loving stepmothers who were always there for her, Jessie Parker of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mary Lou Hopes of Greenville; nine sisters, Sandra Parker Jones, Shelia Green Allen and Pamelia Williams, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., Lillian Latham, Irene Latham, Etta Jean Williams, Beverly (Lester Calvin) Williams and Lisa Williams, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jacqueline Sweat of Orlando, Fla.; nine brothers, Lawrence (Shirley) Green of Glen Allan, Leroy Parker Jr., Douglas Green, Charles Bradley, Paul Green and La Ron King Parker, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., Henry Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz., and Melvin Williams and Thelmon Williams, both of Eloy Ariz.; three aunts, Larvetta (Eddie) Reed of Hopedale, Pearline (Thomas) Williams of Panther Burn and Aline (Bennie) Philips of St. Louis, Mo.; two uncles, Jonny Edwards of Panther Burn and Earnest (Shirley) Edwards of Rolling Fork; a special cousin, Veronica (Reginald) White, who was there for her always; thanks to a special friend, Gary Wright of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Williams-Byrd

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Corilous "Friday" Williams-Byrd, 69, of Greenville will be Saturday at noon at Greater Hinds Street MB Church, Greenville. She died Feb. 2, 2003, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Byrd Sr. of Greenville; her sisters, Evon Washington of Pontiac, Mich., Annette (John) Winfield of Bellwood, Ill., Doreatha (Sammie) Taylor of Houston, Texas, and Marry Frances McGee and Earnestine Wyatt, both of Greenville; brother Nathaniel (Betty) Watkins of Greenville; goddaughters Anita Ousley of Metcalfe and Lisa Jones of Cleveland; stepdaughters Deloris (Ceotha) McWright of Leland, Mary (Louis) Wynn of Metcalfe, Emma (Larry) Watson and Agnes (Santore) Cole, both of Greenville, and Luticia (Sterling) Cook and Jacquelyn Byrd of Houston, Texas; stepsons Henry (Helen) Walls Jr. of North Chicago, Ill., Willie (Marie) Byrd Jr. of Vicksburg, James (Tonya) Byrd of Virginia Beach, Va., and Clinton (Barbara) Byrd of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon.

The Rev. Thomas Morris Sr. will officiate.

Wilson

SHELBY — Funeral arrangements for Doris Wilson, 38, of Shelby are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died Feb. 6, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.

Allen

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Edna M. Allen, 48, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Christian Light Baptist Church, Metcalfe. She died March 21, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery, Metcalfe, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

Edna graduated from Leland High School in 1972. She began working at Greenville Mill after graduation from high school. After working there for 11 years, she went to work for Uncle Ben's, where she was employed until her death.

Survivors include her father, George (Ella Mae) Allen of Metcalfe; two sisters, Elizabeth (Riley) Williams and Tonja (Kenton) Wilson, both of Greenville; three brothers, George (Artis) Allen Jr. of Leland, Freddie Allen of Tamburo and Jeffrey (Shenita) Allen of Greenville; her paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Allen of Tamburo; five aunts, Edna Allen of Tamburo, Vera Vance and Flossie Teimble, both of Chicago, Irene Brooks of Greenville and Delois (Charles) Hulett of Bolton; five uncles, John Allen Jr. of Metcalfe, Joe (Lillie) Allen, Tommy Lee (Sherell) Allen and the Rev. Edward (Abby) Allen, all of Greenville, Fred (Linda) Allen of Milwaukee and Jessie (Patricia) Vance Jr. of Metcalfe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

Burris

ROSEDALE — Funeral services for Claudy Bell Burris, 74, of Rosedale will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside United Baptist Church, Rosedale. She died March 25, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Wright's Crossing, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include a daughter, Trina Burris of Rosedale; two grandsons who lived with her, Kadarrius Booth and Jacorey Booth, both of Rosedale; three sisters, Luvenia Shaw of Fairfield, Calif., Mary Kingsley of Beulah and Prince Ella Manley of Rosedale; two goddaughters, Sharon Liner of Atlanta, Ga., and Shawantha Stanciel of Chicago; and two godsons, Tyrone Matheney of Fort Sills, Okla., and Michael Howard of Rosedale.

The remains will lie in state Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Riverside United Baptist Church, Rosedale.

The Rev. Larry Williams will officiate.

Foster

BELZONI — Funeral services for Sammie Foster Jr., 44, of Belzoni, a farmer, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel MB Church, Belzoni. He died of heart failure March 24, 2003, at Humphreys County Memorial Hospital, Belzoni. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery, Belzoni, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include four sons, Marcus Johnson, Terarnce T. Jimmerson, Antonio Harris and Janurais Harris, all of Belzoni; four daughters, Lakeda Ward of Peoria, Ill., and Shana Harris, Nicole Harris and Veronica Jimmerson, all of Belzoni; one brother, Robert Moore of Peoria, Ill.; and a very special friend, Betty Jimmerson of Belzoni.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni.

Harris

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Henry "Baby-boy" Harris, 54, of Greenville and formerly of Leland, a carpenter, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville. He died March 24, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Bogue Memorial Gardens, Leland.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Harris of Greenville; five daughters, Victoria (Henry) Weeks of Memphis, Barbara Weeks of Los Angeles, Cherry Rogers of Vaughn, Kimberly Johnson of Leland and Margaret Lloyd of Greenville; five sons, Marcus Murphy of Greenville and Stacy McGee, Will Love, Darnell Johnson and Carvin Feleston, all of Leland; three sisters, Carrie Smith of Leland, Eliza Green of Chicago and Azelin Mayers of Detroit; one brother, Earl (Linda) Wheatley; a niece with whom he was raised, Victory (Jackie) Robinson of Chicago; a special mother-in-law, Rosa Lloyd; and six grandchildren.

The Rev. Cheryl Penson will officiate.

Harvey

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for John A. Harvey, 67, of Greenville will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Mt. Ararat MB Church, Stoneville. He died March 22, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Frye Funeral Home, Leland.

John A. Harvey, born Oct. 11, 1935, in Leland, was one of eight children born to the late William Harvey Sr. and Louise Green. He worked for many years as a domestic worker.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Harvey and Augusta Green, and one sister, Frances L. Ross.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories three brothers, Edward Harvey of Leland, the Rev. William (Josie) Harvey of Greenville and the Rev. Charles (Sonja) Harvey of Duncan; a sister, Mamie Harvey of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Rutha Harvey of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Leland. The body will lie in state Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.

The Rev. Allen Blake is pastor of the church. The Rev. William Harvey will officiate.

Lange

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Roger Lange, 57, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. He died March 25, 2003, at his home.

McNeal

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Alice B. "Jack" "Rabbit" McNeal, 69, of Greenville will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greater Pleasant Green MB Church, Greenville. She died March 20, 2003, at her home. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

She leaves to celebrate her home-going: six children, Bennie (Beatrice) McNeal, Walter (Lucenda) Cummings, Idella (Ernest) McNeal, Jessie Brown and Michelle (Sylvester) Hall, all of Greenville, and Geraldine (Howard) Johnson of Indianola; an uncle, Augusta Seals; a stepbrother, Emmanuel (Melvina) Smith of Greenville; a loving friend, Will S. Edwards of Greenville; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Betty (Freddie) Holmes of Greenville; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

Ragland

SILVER CITY — Funeral services for Adam Ragland Jr., 79, of Silver City, a farmer, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Christian Valley MB Church, Silver City. He died of heart failure March 21, 2003, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Christian Valley Church Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Ragland of Dayton, Ohio, and Willie Ragland of Silver City; two daughters, Sophronia Taylor of Maywood, Ill., and Eloise R. McCray of Dayton, Ohio; and three sisters, Melissa Lee of Silver City, Elizabeth Davis of Gary, Ind., and Katherine Anderson of St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni.

Pastor Melvin Webster will officiate.
