Townsend
INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Lizzie Townsend, 96, of Indianola will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove MB Church, Inverness. She died July 16, 2002, at Beverly Health Care Center, Ruleville. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Townsend Sr. of Indianola; two sons, Robert Townsend Jr. and Lewis Townsend, both of Indianola; one daughter, Christine Marshall of Chicago; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Walker
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Horace Walker, 79, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Potter's House MB Church, Greenville. He died July 17, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Walker of Greenville; three daughters, Bobbie (Verdell) Hinds of Memphis, and JoAnn Mason and Lesterean White, both of Greenville; seven sons, Horace Murray and Charles Mason, both of Greenville, Anthony (Lucinda) Mason of Coffeeville, Carl Mason of Memphis, and Leon (Earnestine) Williams, Nathaniel (Tony) Griffin and Cleotha (Martha) Griffin, all of Elgin, Ill.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville. The body will lie in state at the church Satruday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Rev. Freddie Hall will officiate.

Emphrey
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Lonnie Emphrey, 50, of San Francisco, Calif., and formerly of Greenville will be today at 2 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. He died Sept. 16, 2002, in San Francisco. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
Lonnie was born Sept. 12, 1952, to the late Calep and Lillie Emphrey of Greenville, Miss. He graduated from Greenville public schools in 1971, and was recruited into the U.S. Army by Sgt. Buddy Jackson in 1972.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Calep and Lillie Emphrey; three sisters, Carrie Jean Emphrey-Green, Melva Emphrey-Ford and Juanita Emphrey-Landrum.
He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, Master Springfield of Detroit, and Lonnie Dyson and Sedric Emphrey, both of Dallas; one brother, Calep (Bernadene) Emphrey Jr. of Greenville; five sisters, Goldie El of Toledo, Ohio, Olivia Allen of Little Rock, Ark., Lillie (J.D.) Johnson of Dickinson, Texas, Rebecca (Silas) Clay of Taylor, Mich., and Violette Pitts of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Matthew Parise Sr., 75, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Oct. 8, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.
Rolph
RIDGELAND — Memorial services for William T. "Bill" Rolph Jr., 79, of Ridgeland, a retired insurance sales representative, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Whispering Pines, Ridgeland. He died Oct. 8, 2002, at Whispering Pines Hospice Center, Ridgeland. Mark Seepe Funeral Home & Crematorium has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rolph was a native of North Carolina. He attended schools in Petersburg, Va., and Baltimore, Md. He served in the Army during World War II, and was in the South Pacific campaign for two and a half years.
Mr. Rolph moved to Mississippi in 1954 and retired from Continental Insurance Co. in 1989. He was a charter member and first president of Casualty and Surety Association of Mississippi and a past member of Blue Goose, an insurance organization. He was also a former member and past president of the Executive Committee of the Mississippi State Rating Bureau.
He is survived by one son, Michael K. Rolph of Ridgeland; one daughter, Shelley Grenier of Sarasota, Fla.; one half-brother, Thomas Rolph of Salinas, Calif.; two grandsons, Marcus Rolph of Starkville and Kevin Templeton of Brandon; one great-grandson, Campbell Rolph of Starkville; and his longtime dear companion, Hazel Anne Anderson of Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Hospice Ministries Inc., 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157.
Scott
BELZONI — Funeral services for Milton Scott, 96, of Belzoni will be Saturday at noon at Evan Chapel United Methodist Church, Belzoni. He died Oct. 5, 2002, at Humphreys County Hospital, Belzoni. Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery, Belzoni, under the direction of Delta Burial Corporation, Belzoni.
Survivors include four sisters, Ella Watson of Milwaukee, Mary Pittman of Chicago, Ethel Pittman of Isola and Ida Mae Baker of Greenwood; two nieces, Cora Ranson of Inverness and Fannie Scott of Isola; four grandchildren, Erma Hester, Yvonne Minor, Yolanda Minor and Everette Minor, all of Memphis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Rev. Anjohnette Gibbs will officiate.

Bell
VERONA -- Funeral services for William "Billy" Bell Jr., 76, of Verona and formerly of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Lee Memorial Funeral Home chapel, Verona. He died Dec. 3, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Burial will be Lee Memorial Park.
Mr. Bell was born in Greenville on Sept. 21, 1926, to the late William Howard and Estelle Bell. He was graduated from Greenville High School and lived there until moving to Lee County in 1974. He was a U.S. Navy veteran with service during World War II, including the Battle of Pearl Harbor. He was a retired shipping clerk for the FMC Corp. He was a Baptist and attended First Baptist Church in Verona. He was an avid race car fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Mile Bell and wife, Samantha, of Brewer and Chris Bell and wife, Michelle, of Tupelo; a daughter, Donna Reynolds of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathan Reynolds of Houston, Texas, Justin Ward and John Bell of Brewer, and Jordan Bell of Tupelo; one great-grandchild; a sister, Dorothy "Dot" Rigney of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Brother Mark Cayson will officiate. Personnel from Millington Naval Base in Millington, Tenn., will present the flag.
Pallbearers will be Ken McCarty Sr., Ken McCarty Jr., Tom Franks, Bubba Franks, Dewayne Riddle and Robert Comer.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until the service. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 21, Shannon, MS 38868.
Davis
CLEVELAND -- Funeral services for Gracie Y. Davis, 88, of Cleveland will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Smithville. She died Dec. 4, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Cemetery, Amory. Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland, has charge of local arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland, and Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Smithville.
The Revs. Wade Holland, Jerry Davis and Harry Davis will officiate.
Inmon
GLEN ALLAN -- Funeral services for June Nipper Inmon, 70, of Glen Allan, a registered nurse, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glen Allan United Methodist Church. She died of heart failure Dec. 3, 2002, at River Oaks Hospital, Flowood. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Glen Allan, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Missouri, where she graduated from high school. She then married C. Frank Inmon, and they made their home in Glen Allan. Later she graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College with a degree in nursing (R.N.) and worked for local hospitals for several years. She was a member of the Glen Allan United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Caroline Dellasshosia of Sunset, La.; three sons, Mike Inmon of Milan, Mich., Jerry Inmon of Glen Allan and Mark Inmon of Greenville; two sisters, Ruth Terry of Tupelo and Mary Dowdy of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, Billy Nipper of Glen Allan; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
Lewis
ROSEDALE -- Funeral services for Norris L. Lewis, 46, of Inglewood, Calif., and formerly of Beulah will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Bolivar Middle School, Rosedale. He died Nov. 23, 2002, at Martin Luther King Jr. General Hospital, Los Angeles. Burial will be in Mt. Mariah Cemetery, Beulah, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Rosedale.
He was the son of Emma Harris and the late Charlie Cherry. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lee Harris, and his grandparents, Charlie and Gussie Cherry.
Survivors include a daughter, Ashely Griffin of California; his mother, Emma Harris of Rosedale; four sisters, Joyce and LaShonda Harris, both of Rosedale, Dorothy Mays of Greenville and Selena Anderson of Gulfport; six brothers, Leo Lewis, Johnny Harris, Melvin Harris and Derrick Harris, all of Rosedale, and Paul Ayers and Charlie Cherry, both of Chicago, Ill.; a grandmother, Viola Lewis of Beulah; four aunts, Ollie Bell Lewis of Beulah, Blythia Lewis of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Rosie Williams and Sadie Harrison, both of Chicago; two uncles, Curtis Lewis of Chicago Heights and Preston Cherry of Chicago; one godson, DeAngelo Hightower of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Rosedale. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from noon until 1 p.m.
