GREENVILLE — Funeral services for M.L. Barr, 89, of Greenville will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. He died March 20, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville.
Survivors include a daughter, Viola (Fred) McKinley of Jackson; four grandchildren, Chris Lofton, Fredrick McKinley, Krystina McKinley and Brianna McKinley, all of Jackson; and eight special and devoted friends, Lenora Galloway, Wilda Acoff, Mary Young, George McCullar, Hattie Sykes, Earnestine Bell, Hannah McKnight and John Askew, all of Greenville.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.
Edwards
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Sam Jefferson Edwards, 87, of Greenville, a retired cotton picker mechanic, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville. He died of heart failure March 21, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
He was a veteran of the 13th Army Air Force "Combat Medic" in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 32. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by six sisters, Ona Mann, Annie Reynolds, Naneva Ferguson, Myrtal Ferguson, Edna Meeks and Vlady Fowler; and three brothers, Henry Edwards, Thomas Edwards and George Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Lottie Evelyn Edwards of Greenville; three sons, Thomas Edwards of Chattanooga, Tenn., William "Bill" Edwards of Leadville Colo., and Larry (Robin) Edwards of Knoxville, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home.
Dr. Ronny Spivey will officiate.

ISOLA — Funeral services for Roy Preston Forbes, 60, of Isola, a retired farmer, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mortimer Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni. He died of heart failure March 23, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Isola.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Forbes; a sister, Gladys Forbes Walker; and his parents, Elmer and Ethel Forbes.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Preston Forbes and Glen Howard Forbes, both of Isola; two daughters-in-law, Mary Anita Forbes and Casandra Forbes, both of Isola; four sisters, Ada Forbes Johnson of Isola, Billie Forbes Robertson of Belzoni, Hilda Forbes Hales of Flowood and Evelyen Forbes Walker of Yazoo City; two brothers, Robert Franklin Forbes of Belzoni and Milton Forbes of Isola; and two grandchildren, Preston Lee Forbes and Camden Suzanne Forbes, both of Isola.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Belzoni.

RULEVILLE — Funeral services for Oliver Dorris Dorise, 94, of Ruleville will be at 3 p.m. today at William Chapel MB Church, Ruleville. He died June 5, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery, Ruleville, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.
He is survived by his sister, Jear Lee Foster of Ruleville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The body will repose at the church today from 2 to 3 p.m.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Rex M. Walters, 81, of Greenville, a retired salesman and security guard, will be today at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Greenville. He died June 5, 2003, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Ala. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Walters had lived in Greenville since 1954 and was retired from McRae's as a clothing salesman and retired security guard at Greenville Mill. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was active in Sunday school. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. His Sunday school members will serve as pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ousley McKinley Walters.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Owens of Akron, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Dean (Ray) Dacus and Gail (Bobby) Owens, both of Greenville, and Ann (James) Yeager of Rock Hill, S.C.; one son, Milford (Judy) Walters of Eutaw, Ala.; one stepson, Frank (Gwen) McKinley of Warrensburg, Mo.; one sister, Maynelle Nagaski of Memphis; four brothers, Rad Walters of Eupora, Charles Walters of North Little Rock, Ark., J.R. Walters of Alexandria, Ark., and Leon Walters of Fulton; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

LELAND — Funeral services for James Clifton "Jake" Webb, 81, of Leland, a retired farmer and factory worker, will be at 2 p.m. today at Glendale Baptist Church, Greenville. He died of heart failure June 6, 2003, at Mississippi Extended Care, Greenville. Burial will be in Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Webb was born Jan. 8, 1922, at Ovett, Miss., to James and Nellie Webb. He grew up in Ovett, where he attended Ovett public schools. He was engaged in farming in Sunflower County until 1960, when he moved to Leland and went to work for Hager Hinge. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Andrew Webb and Nellie Buckhalter Webb. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, June Mills Webb of Utica; a niece Frances (Spencer) Tutor of Greenville; a nephew, Roy (Tressie) Webb of Leland; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
The Rev. Mark Pilgrim will officiate.
