HOUSTON, Texas -- Memorial services for Price Montgomery Williams, 61, of Houston, are pending at Parker Funeral Home, Houston. He died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at his home in Houston.

Mr. Williams was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Lake City, Fla., the son of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Williams. Reared in Greenville, he was a graduate of Greenville High School and Delta State University.

Survivors include his father, Dr. John Wesley Williams of Greenville; his son, Walker Wesley Williams of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Marcia DeSonier of Pensacola, Fla., Penny Weaver of Montgomery, Ala., and Jennifer DeBruhl of Nashville, Tenn.

Williams

MERIGOLD -- Funeral services for Robbie Vivian Lee Williams, 74, of Merigold will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home.

Allen

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for John Rayford "Sonny" Allen III, 57, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at King Solomon MB Church, Metcalfe. He died June 3, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

John Rayford "Sonny" Allen III was born Sept. 15, 1945, in Tomburo, Miss., to the late John Rayford Allen Jr. and Bernadine Rhoda Allen. He accepted Christ in August of 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gloria Allen of Greenville; four daughters, Angela M. (Anthony) Spencer of Merriville, Ind., Annette Allen of Griffin, Ind., Kimberly Y. Allen of Greenville and Angela (Kevin) Chillis of Memphis; two sons, Cedric (Shelia) Sturdevant of Greenville, Texas, and Paul Buckner of Seattle, Wash.; eight brothers, Elijah Allen and Bobby Jo Allen, both of Chicago, Leemore (Emma) Allen of Birmingham, Ala., Cleveland Allen and Clarence (Sherilyn) Allen, both of Greenville, Elston (Cathy) Allen of Tulsa, Okla., Michael (Sharon) Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Anthony Allen of Dallas; seven sisters, Josephine (Eugene) Tubwell, Audrey Brown and Anita Allen Lee, all of Greenville, Rosie A. Allen of Tampa, Fla., Marilyn May of Chicago, Gwendolyn (Harry) Morris of Tulsa, Okla., and Bernadine Allen Holt of Dallas; three aunts; one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Larry Guster will officiate.

Clark

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Pearlie Mae Clark, 65, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Washington County General Baptist Association Building, Greenville. She died June 1, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Calian Clark Jr. of Greenville; three sons, Clinton (Donna) Smith of Chicago, and Michael (Kim) Smith and Barry Hamilton, both of Greenville; two daughters, Parthenia Hamilton of Greenville and Regina Hamilton of New Orleans; three grandchildren whom she adopted, Rayneisha Gipson of Greenville, Nataria Hamilton of Norfolk, Va., and Horactio Hamilton of New Orleans; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Rev. Leroy Davis will officiate.

Ellis

WINTERVILLE — Funeral services for Crystal Shambrell Ellis, 15, of Winterville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Myrtle Grove MB Church, Winterville. She died May 30, 2003, at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Crystal attended Norma C. O'Bannon School from kindergarten through eighth grade, until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, Mary Ellis and Willie Bailey of Greenville; her stepfather, Floyd Cobb of Greenville; two sisters, Jennifer Denise Ellis of Memphis and Lakendria Shyann Ellis of Greenville; her maternal grandmother, Sadie Lee Thomas of Winterville; two aunts, Ada B. Lawson of Oakland, Calif., and Jeanette (Peter) Straw of Greenville; four uncles, David (Betty) Thomas of Greenville, Bill Ellis and Jimmy Ellis, both of Winterville, and Leroy (Henrietta) Ellis of Canton; two special cousins, Kim Ellis of Oakland, Calif., and Lisa Marie Ellis of Memphis; two godmothers, Diane Richardson and Laura Byars, both of Greenville; three very special friends, Kristen (K.C.) King and Ashley Williams, both of Winterville, and Edna Lynch of Greenville; and a host of cousins and friends too numerous to name.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. C.O. Williams is pastor of the church. The Rev. O.S. Stephens will officiate.

Griffin

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Susie A. Griffin, 75, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Vessels of Mercy Church, Greenville. She died May 30, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville.

Susie was born Sept. 17, 1927, to the late Allen and Ella Cain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleotha Griffin; two sons, Oster Lee Griffin and Will Griffin; one brother, Allen Cain Jr.; and one sister, Ruby Dale Adams.

She was born in Greenwood, Miss. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of True Gospel Temple Church under the leadership of her loving Pastor Rosie Hall. She was treasurer of the church and served as mother on the Mother Board.

She leaves to cherish her memories one brother, Matthew Cain of Chicago; one sister, Redell Broner; one uncle, Hogan Rogers; two sons, Dave (Cynthia) Griffin and Steve (Geneva) Griffin, both of Memphis; four daughters, Theola Banks, Annie-Dell Thrash, Sheila Griggs and Ellouise Pullum, all of Chicago; a devoted daughter-in-law, Vera Griffin; 31 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

Pastor Tommy Benson will officiate.

INDIANOLA — Funeral arrangements for Gloria Harris, 48, of Indianola are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. She died June 3, 2003, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola.

Jackson

HOLLANDALE — Funeral arrangements for Everlean Johnson Jackson, 53, of Hollandale are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Hollandale. She died June 4, 2003, at her home.

Johnson

ROSEDALE — Funeral services for Edward Johnson, 71, of Rosedale will be Saturday at noon at Bethel MB Church, Rosedale. He died May 31, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Rosedale, under the direction of Bea's Century Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Mae Johnson; four daughters, Renee Webster of Fort Knox, Ky., and Louise Johnson, Lucille Smith and Jacqueline Scott, all of Rosedale; seven sons, James (Linda) Johnson, Marvin (Maesee) Johnson, Nikita Johnson and Kin Johnson, all of Rosedale, Kevin (Cassandra) Johnson of Warren, Ark., George Johnson in the military, and Robert Jackson of Boyle; one sister, Minnie Lee Cooper of Renova; one sister-in-law, Emma Harris of Rosedale; one uncle, Jimmie Lunceford of Rosedale; and six aunts, Otha Lunceford of Greenville, Minnie Irvin, Edna Lunceford and Annie Bell Lunceford, all of Rosedale, L.V. Smith of Chicago, and Jessie Lunceford of Beulah.

The body will lie in state Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at Bethel MB Church, Rosedale.

The Rev. Willie Burns will officiate.

Long

GREENVILLE — Graveside services for Nicholas Barney Long Sr., 75, of Greenville, a retired upholstery shop owner, will be today at 2 p.m. in Greenville Cemetery. He died of heart failure June 2, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Long lived in Greenville all his life. He loved woodworking and working on antique cars. He retired from Tennessee Gas Co. after 36 years, and resumed his upholstery business. He loved the Bluesmen and loved taking his grandson, Sidney, to the games.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ariff Long, and a daughter, Thelma Ann Zellner.

Survivors include a daughter, Melanie K. Brewton of Greenville; two sons, Nicholas B. Long II of Greenville and Barney Long Jr. of Baldwin; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be today from noon to 1:45 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

McGaugh

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Floria Bernice McGaugh, 75, of Greenville will be Friday at 10 a.m. at New Life Church of God, Greenville. She died of heart failure June 3, 2003, at Mississippi Care Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was born in Sunflower County, Miss., where she graduated from high school. In 1946, she married J.L. McGaugh Sr., and they made their home in Greenville. She was employed with Greenville Mill as a setter, retiring in 1986. She was a member of New Life Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Jempsey L. McGaugh Sr. of Greenville; her mother, Beatrice Lott of Meridian; a daughter, Linda Tatum (James) of Greenville; two sons, Jempsey L. McGaugh Jr. and Richard McGaugh (Beckie), both of Greenville; two sisters, Reba Helms and Deanie Wilkerson, both of Isola; four brothers, Roy Lott of Jackson, the Rev. Dewitt Lott of Eupora, David Lott of Meridian and Wallace Lott of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Monittee

RALEIGH, N.C. — Funeral services for Peter Monittee, 56, of Raleigh and formerly of Glendora, Miss., will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Clair MB Church, Glendora. He died May 29, 2003, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Glendora, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville, Miss.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Lee Monittee of Raleigh, N.C.; three stepsons; one daughter, Maggie Monittee; three brothers, Joseph Thomas of Charleston, Miss., Moses Tyler of Akron, Ohio, and George Tyler of Webb, Miss.; four sisters, Lorette Lee Wallace of Sumner, Miss., Ida Mae Thomas and Willie Bell Townsend, both of Glendora, and Odessa Wise of Chicago; and six grandchildren.

The body will lie in state Saturday at the church from noon to 1 p.m.

The Rev. A.C. Craft Jr. will officiate.

Perez

ARCOLA — Funeral arrangements for Velda Perez, 55, of Arcola are pending at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. She died June 4, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.
