Curry

INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Charlie Curry, 89, of Indianola will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Stephenville. He died May 18, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

Mr. Curry was born Nov. 24, 1912, in Indianola, to the union of the late Rafe and Hester Green Curry. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ella Austin of East Saint Louis, Mo.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Linda (Stephenson) Moore Carter of Indianola; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Roosevelt Curry of Indianola; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday form 1 to 5 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

Dr. Roy K. Farley Jr. will officiate.

Foster

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Samuel Foster Sr., 45, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Olivet MB Church, Greenville. He died May 19, 2002, in Arcola. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Samuel Foster was born March 8, 1957, in Greenville, to the late Oliver Foster Sr. and Gertrude Foster. He confessed a hope in Christ in 1963. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Foster Sr.; one brother, Issac Roger; and one sister, Frankie L. Foster.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted wife, Delanoia Gibson-Foster of Greenville; two sons, Samuel Foster Jr. of Greenville and Teddrick Hymon of Memphis; his devoted mother, Gertrude (Booker T. Gatlin) Foster of Greenville; four brothers, Oliver (Evelyn) Foster Jr. of Meridian, Columbus Foster of Chicago and Allen (Dora) Foster and Jeffrey Foster, both of Greenville; two sisters, Ethel L. Jones of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and Lula (Pete Bee) Jones of Greenville; a devoted mother-in-law, Jimmie Gibson of Greenville; four brothers-in-law, Willie Gibson, Kirkland Gibson and Galvin Gibson, all of Los Angeles, and Byron (Carla) Richardson of Las Vegas; a close friend, Tony Higgins of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Rev. Howard Savage will officiate.

Gillespie

PACE — Funeral arrangements for Mary Gillespie, 65, of Pace are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died May 21, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.

Kingdom

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Willie Kingdom, 70, of Greenville, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Bethel MB Church, Greenville. He died May 18, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Kingdom of Greenville; five sons, Darryl Kingdom, Willie Kingdom Jr., Dewayne Kingdom and Kevin (Joyce) Kingdom, all of Greenville, and Tyrance Kingdom of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight daughters, Jackie Kingdom-Simpson, Marilyn Sayles, JoAnn (Micheal) Alford, Margaret Kingdom, Valeria (Leonard) Murrell, Yolanda Jenkins and Elizabeth (Keith) Williams, all of Greenville, and Eboney Kingdom of Atlanta, Ga.; seven stepchildren, Bennie Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Anthony Dixon, Kenneth (Aretha) Williams and Demetric (Gromyko) Stampley, all of Greenville, Timothy (Shirley) Williams of Clarksdale and Willmetta Johnson of Maryland; three sisters, Rosie Kingdom and Margaret Kingdom, both of Greenville, and Cathelina (Willie) Little of Memphis; two brothers, Dr. Aaron (Barbara) King of Greenville and Suzette (Peggy Ann) King of Chicago; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Rev. Lester Jones is pastor of the church. Dr. Aaron King will officiate.

McCoy

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Charles E. McCoy, 54, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First MB Church, Greenville. He died May 18, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include five children, Marverjo (James) Price, Demetric (Raymond) Poole, Charles E. McCoy Jr., Ruby McCoy and Pashana (Johnny) Washington, all of Greenville; three sisters, Grovene Collins of Greenville, and Myrtle (Marvin) Milton and Sharon McCoy, both of Spencer, Okla.; three brothers, Willie (Barbara) McCoy Sr., Larry (Delores) McCoy and Semerill (Brenda) McCoy, all of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Kendrick Price, Jessica Price, Myeishia Price, Latasha Hartley, Dalton Dogan, Evelyn Dogan, Venessa Washington and Brandon McCoy, all of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Mose McIntosh will officiate.

Quattlebaum

EASLEY, S.C. — Funeral services for Pastor Jerry Dale Quattlebaum, 54, of Easley, S.C., and formerly of Greenville, Miss., will be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville, S.C. He died May 20, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, S.C. Burial will be in Robinson Memorial Gardens, Easley, under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home, Easley, S.C.

Born in Greenville, Miss., Pastor Quattlebaum was the son of Virginia Mae Jenkins Quattlebaum of Greenville and the late Benson Martin Quattlebaum. He received a bachelor of arts degree in the Bible in 1970 and a master of arts degree in church history in 1984 from Bob Jones University. He served as a missionary in Calgary, Canada, and attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, S.C.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Deborah Larsen Quattlebaum, of the home; three sons, Daniel Quattlebaum and Benson Quattlebaum, both of Greenville, Miss., and Peter Quattlebaum of the home; one daughter, Miriam Quattlebaum of the home; and one brother, Terry Quattlebaum of Helena, Ark.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home in Easley, and will be placed in the Fireplace Room at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today.

Richardson

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Louis Thomas Richardson, 29, of Greenville, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel MB Church, Greenville. He died May 19, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Glen Allan Cemetery, Glen Allan, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Jean Richardson of Greenville; his father, Joel Wright of Greenville; three brothers, Jarmal Bernard Richardson and Gary Lee Richardson, both of Greenville, and Joel Wright Jr. of Kansas City, Kan.; his maternal grandfather, Eddie Richardson Sr. of Greenville; one nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Morris McCaskill will officiate.

Scott

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Stacey Lee Scott, 61, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died May 19, 2002, at her home. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth C. (Linda Faye) Scott of Greenville; three grandchildren, Kenneth (Kyoko) Washington, Valerie Washington and Charles Scott, all of Greenville; one brother, Jack (Luvenia) Solomon of Chicago; one sister, Angela Davis of Greenville; one special niece, Carmen Solomon of Chicago; one special nephew, Lamont Solomon of Chicago; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Freddie Hall will officiate.

Tate

MOORHEAD — Graveside services for Destiney Vonsha Tate, 8 days, of Moorhead were May 21, 2002, in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Moorhead. She died May 16, 2002, at her home. Burial was under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

Survivors include her parents, John and Sherika Tate of Moorhead; and one sister, Demesha Tate of Moorhead.

Williams

LELAND — Funeral services for Charles "Sky King" Williams, 60, of Elizabeth will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John MB Church, Leland. He died May 18, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Sister of Charity Cemetery, Elizabeth, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

Survivors include his mother, Louvenia Brown of Elizabeth; his father, Elijah Williams of Champaign, Ill.; three daughters, Diane Jackson and Veronica Williams, both of Milwaukee, and Felisha Harris of Leland; five sons, Charles Williams Jr., Lamont Williams and Timothy Williams, all of Milwaukee, Kevin Malone of Greenville and Derrick Harris of Leland.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

Pastor James Dennis will officiate.

Williams

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Clenton "Shug-Sloggin" Williams, 55, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill North MB Church, Greenville. He died May 20, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Metcalfe, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Williams was a brick mason.

Survivors include one sister, Cora Williams of Greenville; one brother, Rufus (Betty) Williams of Greenville; five stepchildren, Rita Brown, Mary Brown, Ruby Lee Brown, Paul Brown and Ruben Brown, all of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., at Dillon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Pastor V.J. Moore will officiate.

Agness

RULEVILLE — Funeral services for Bennie Agness, 77, of Ruleville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Byas Funeral Home chapel, Ruleville. He died Nov. 23, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Mt. Galilee Cemetery, Ruleville.

Survivors include one brother, Alf Agness of Memphis; one sister, Christine Agness of Toledo, Ohio; a special caretaker, Willie M. McClinton of Ruleville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Rev. F.L. Ford will officiate.
