Albert Richardson
Albert “Al” Richardson, 87, of McComb, died April 14, 2009, at Camellia Estates.
Visitation is 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb. Graveside services will follow in Pike Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Ray will officiate.
Mr. Richardson was born Sept. 14, 1921, in McComb, to Albert Richard and Clara Lee McDonald Richardson.
He was a member of J.J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church. He worked for the FAA, where he was an air traffic controller until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during World War II.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine Dunaway Richardson; a stepson, a stepbrother and a stepsister.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, John Chris and Donna Richardson of Hammond, La., and Albert Mitchell and Sherry Richardson of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Jaclyn Richardson, Amy Richardson Bleich and husband Andy, and Jacob Richardson; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Parrish Bleich.
Pallbearers will be family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in his name to J.J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
Collis Tobias Jr.
Collis Tobias Jr., 62, of Liberty, died April 9, 2009, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Mary Chapel C.O.G.I.C. in Liberty. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery in Liberty, under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home in Gloster.Mr. Tobias was born April 8, 1947, in Mississippi, to Collis Tobias Sr. and Doris McDowell Tobias.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary J. Tobias, Martha Wilson and Ruth Wilson; two brothers, Hollis and Howard Tobias; and a son, Billy Ray Tobias.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Mae Well Tobias of Liberty; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa and Willie Tolliver and Patricia Tobias, all of Liberty; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Collis Tobias III, Jamael Tobias, Jimmie Lee and Brenda Tobias and Willie James and Betty Tobias, all of Liberty; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Catherine and Bobby Talbert of Fernwood, Dorothy Wilson of New York, N.Y., Irene Talbert of Osyka, and Edna and Clint Lenoir of Kentwood, La.; a stepbrother, Wallace Allen of New Orleans; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Claudia S. Allen
Claudia Simmons Allen, 77, of McComb, died April 14, 2009, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 5-8 tonight at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb and 9 a.m. Thursday until services there at 10 a.m. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born April 15, 1931, in Walthall County, to Thomas Claude and Ida Belle Bryant Simmons.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of McComb and was a retired licensed practical nurse. Her family said she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby I. Allen; four brothers, Pete, Harvey, Harold and Bilbo Simmons; and three sisters, Christine S. Stogner, Dora Belle S. Gifford and Evelyn S. Morris.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Mary Emma Allen of Meridian, and Ricky and Anna K. Allen of Magnolia; a daughter, Teresa A. Coon of McComb; seven grandchildren, Heidi Allen Gatlin, Bob, Maria and Krisi Allen, Virginia Kelley and Cass and Samantha Coon; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends including special friend, Ernest Forrest.
Pallbearers will be Robert McKinney, Daryl Alford, Eddie Gifford, Russ Stogner, Thomas Dean Simmons, Truett Simmons, Bob Allen and Tag Gatlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Stogner, Charles Stogner, Hollis Alford, Buddy George Simmons and Phil Dunaway.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Allen Cemetery Fund, 525 Lee St., Magnolia, MS 39652.
Albert A. Bridevaux Jr.
Albert A. Bridevaux Jr., 64, of Tylertown, died April 13, 2009, at his residence.
Visitation is 6-9 tonight at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with Father Tommy Conway officiating. Burial will be in Tylertown Cemetery II.
Mr. Bridevaux was born May 28, 1944, in Alberta, Canada, to Albert and Jeanette Margaret Meehan Bridevaux.
He was a self-employed electrical contractor.
Mr. Bridevaux was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jeanette Houck and Patsy Bridevaux; and a brother, Bobby Bridevaux.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Alan and Tiffany Bridevaux of McComb and Jeff Bridevaux of New Orleans; a daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Mike Hart of Monroe, La.; special friends and caretakers, Sandy Duncan and Bobbie Fultz; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Les Lampton, McNeil Mitchell, Jimmy Perkins, Jan Houck, Bubba Mosby and Derrell Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be George Houck, J.W. Johnson, Donald Dufrene and Ricky Dufrene.
Paul Pittman
Paul Pittman, 47, of Sandy Hook, died April 12, 2009, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Visitation continues until 7 tonight at Washington Funeral Home in Tylertown. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at First Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Sandy Hook. The Rev. James Wells will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Pittman was born July 21, 1961, in Sandy Hook. He was the son of Edgie Lee Pittman Pittman of Sandy Hook and the late Warren Pittman.
He was disabled.
Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Arthur Pittman.
Survivors include his mother; three brothers, Omas Pittman Sr. and T.J. Pittman, all of Sandy Hook, and Otis Pittman of Gulfport; six sisters, Dorothy Conerly of Miami, Ossie Lee Smith of Angie, La., Carolyn Magee of Tylertown, Ella Lee of Moss Point, and Ruby Mark and Eva Pittman, both of Sandy Hook; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Blanche Dunaway
Blanche Marie Parsons Dunaway, 75, of McComb, died April 18, 2009, at the residence of her daughter in Summit.
Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb. Visitation is 1 p.m. Tuesday at West McComb Baptist Church until services there at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Vann Windom officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunaway was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Pike County. She was the daughter of John Howard and Blanche Gerald Parsons.
She worked many years at Roses Department Store and Brock & Brock CPA firm in McComb. She was a member of West McComb Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed participating with the “Yesterday’s Kids” group until her health declined.
She was a devoted wife of 56 wonderful years to her best friend and sweetheart. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Dunaway was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Vaught and Farriol Dunaway; her husband of 56 years, Devoy Ray Dunaway; one daughter, Donna Marie Edwards; and three brothers, Clyde Parsons, Wallace Ray Parsons and John Parsons.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Stephen Adams of Summit; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Debora Dunaway of Summit and Danny and LaRheta Dunaway of Tylertown; one son-in-law, Doug Edwards of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren, Michelle Thomas and Tracie Magee, both of Tylertown, Melissa Howell of Greensboro, N.C., Bradley Howell of McComb, Brandon and Patrick Dunaway and Justin Adams, all of Summit; five great-grandchildren, Erica Thomas Sandifer, Katie and Shelby Thomas and Taylor Magee, all of Tylertown, and Bradley Alan Howell of McComb; two great-great-grandchildren, Bradyn and Cayden Sandifer of Tylertown; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Shirley Parsons of Summit; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Parsons of Summit and Lucille Price Parsons of Baton Rouge; and a special friend of 26 years, Ruth McIntosh of McComb.
Pallbearers will be Paul Parsons, David Parsons, Charles Parsons, Don Boyd, Frank Carpenter and Ronnie Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Howard Parsons and Wiley Parsons.

Carolyn P. Felder
Carolyn Ann Pine Felder, 63, of Taylorsville and formerly of McComb, died April 19, 2009, at her residence.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Felders United Methodist Church in Summit until services there at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Felders Cemetery.

James Webb, 93, of Fort Walton, Fla., died April 19, 2009, at his residence.

Hazel Burris Cain
Hazel Burris Cain, 97, of McComb, died April 16, 2009, at McComb Nursing and Rehab.
Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb, with graveside services at noon in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James Case officiating.
Mrs. Cain was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Smithdale. She was the daughter of John H. and Fannie Alford Burris.
She was a retired teacher and was also retired from Kellwood Co. She was a longtime member of Concord Baptist Church in McCall Creek.
Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George M. Cain; and two brothers, Wilton E. Burris and J.A. Burris.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia C. Randall of McComb; one son, Dr. G. Douglas Cain of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, David Russell Edwards and wife Kim, and Pamela E. Moore and husband Brian; two great-grandsons, Erik Edwards and Ryan Edwards; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Burris of the Thompson community and Maimo Cain Welch of Beltsville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Cain’s grandsons and nephews.
