Rev. Clarence Ezra Vice
Funeral services were held November 18, 2002, for Rev. Clarence Ezra Vice, 95, at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery in Winston County. He died November 2, 2002.
Vice was a Bi-vocational minister for 54 years. His ministry began at Gattman Holiness Church in Monroe County. He also pastored the Bethany Church of God in Montgomery County. His last pastorate was the Mathiston Revival Center where he was a member. He was married to Velma L. Wilson for 68 years.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Wilson Vice of Eupora; daughter, Margie Venita Sanders of Weir; son, Bruce Aaron Vice of West Point; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Barney Watkins
Funeral services were held November 17, 2002, for Rev. Barney Watkins, 52, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Harmony Cemetery in Ethel. He died November 14, 2002.
Watkins was a retired minister and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Watkins of McCool.

Douglas Perry
Funeral services were held November 8, 2002, for Douglas Perry, 42, at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ in Louisville. Burial followed at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ cemetery. He died November 3, 2002. Rev. John E. Ball officiated.
Born Feb. 8, 1960 in Louisville, Perry was a carpet and tile handler.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Gennie Lee Triplett and Harvey Triplett of Louisville; daughter, Crystal Perry of Louisville; two sons, Douglas Dejuan and Lamarrius Perry of Louisville; two sisters, Elizabeth Miller of Louisville and Grace Caulfield of Memphis, TN; four brothers, John Perry, Henry Perry, Derrick Perry, and Norquita Perry all of Louisville; one step-sister, Shantay Triplett of Atlanta, GA; two step-brothers, Tony Triplett of Atlanta, GA, and Jeffrey Triplett of San Diego, CA; and two grandchildren.

Lottie Lee Triplett
Funeral services were held November 15, 2002, for Lottie Lee Triplett, 76, at Calvary Apostolic House of Prayer in Louisville. Burial followed at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Noxapater. She died November 8, 2002. Elder James Young officiated.
Born May 11, 1926 in Noxapater, Triplett was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruthie A. triplett of Louisville; son, Alvin T. Triplett of Noxapater; sister, Elgie Gholston of Noxapater; three brothers, Rev. A.B. Gavin of Louisville, Rev. Talmage Gavin and Sylvester Gavin of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildre and one step grandchild.

Eddres Dean Davis
Funeral services were held November 12, 2002, for Eddres Dean Davis, 50, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Noxapater. Burial followed at Mt Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Noxapater. She died November 7, 2002. Rev. David Harris officiated.
Born Jan. 8, 1952 in Noxapater, Davis was a janitorial supervisor at Silver Star Casino.
She is survived by her husband, Willie C. Davis of Noxapater; daughter, Brittany Davis of Noxapater; two sons, Willie V. Davis of Syracuse, NY, and Demarcus Davis of Noxapater; mother, Billie D. Fulwiley of Noxapater; two sisters, Edna Fulwiley of Noxapater and Faye Fulwiley of Syracuse, NY; two brothers, Jimmy Fulwiley of Louisville and Ralph Fulwiley of Noxapater; and one grandchild.

Jiles Lynch
Funeral services were held for Jiles Lynch, 87, of Noxapater at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Feb. 22. Interment followed at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Rev. L.L. Logan officiated. Lynch died February 21, 2003.
Lynch was born March 6, 1915 in Louisville. He was retired truck driver and a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Loving Lynch; three daughters, Florean Moore, Aldean Hathorn, both of Chicago, Il, Leseea Coburn of St. Louis, Missouri; five sons, Hearchel Lynch, Walter Lynch, Billy Lynch all of Noxapater, Van Lynch and Arthur Lynch of Chicago; thirty seven grandchildren; and sixty three great grandchildren.

Mavis Sellers Wright
Funeral services were held for Mavis Sellers Wright,85, of Louisville at First Presbyterian Church Feb. 24. Interment followed at Ellison Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Sam Smith officiated. Wright died February 22, 2003.
Wright was born July 15, 1917 in Louisville. She was homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Dale W. Green of Louisville; two sons, Dannie D. Wright and Terry Wright, both of Louisville; one brother, Audrey Sellers of San Antonio, TX; six sisters, Minnie Mae Eaves, Maggie Lee Haggard, Avis Hill, all of Louisville, Gwen Burrell, Modean Moore, both of Slidell, LA, and Marvine Kelleyof Ocena Springs; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Homer Floyd Dalton
Funeral Services for Homer Floyd Dalton, 62, of Mantee were held February 17, 2003 at Providence United Methodist Church in Maben and burial in the Church Cemetery.
Dalton died February 15, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
He was a retired maintaince electrician from Babcock and Wilcox, a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Maben and a native of Webster County. Dalton was the son of Eddie and Sallie Ruth Dalton.
Survivors include fiance' Betty Cordell of Maben; three sons, Tim Dalton of Nesbit, Mike Dalton of Caledonia, Stacy Dalton of Olive Branch; two grandchildren, Kayla and Lauren Dalton.
Elmo Fondren McClain
Elmo Fondren McClain, of Miami Lakes, Florida, passed away on February at his home in Florida.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Survivors include four sisters, Helen King of Atlanta, GA; Reba Harris of Augusta, West Virginia; Bobbie Gore of Starkville; Betty Boyd of North Augusta, South Carolina; one brother, George McClain of Starkville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Lester B. Ray
Funeral Services for Lester B. Ray, 56, of French Camp, were held February 20, 2003 at Oliver Chapel in Winona with Rev. Jimmy Latham and Rev. Gary Jackson officiating and burial in Bethsaida Cemetery near French Camp.
Ray died February 18, 2003 at his residence of cancer. He was a member of Natchez Trace Masonic Lodge, Local 624 Operating Engineers and a Supervisor for Latex Construction Co. in Atlanta, Ga.
Survivors include wife, Virgie Ray of French Camp; daughter, Sherry Fowler of Houston, TX; sister, Helen Braswell of Winona; brothers, Burt Ray and Glynn Ray both of Kilmichael

Pendergrass was born July 20, 1920 in Noxapater. He passed away Sunday, February 16, 2003 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Franklin, LA. and member of Elk's Club No.122. He was a retired production superintendent for Sonat Exploration. He served four years in the Navy durinq WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James
Pendergrass:two brothers, J.E. Pendergrass and Harvey Pendergrass.
Pendergrass is survived by his wife, Nora Horn Pendergrass of Shreveport, LA.; son, James R. Penderqrass and wife, Pam of Houston, TX., Michael E. Pendergrass of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Joy Pendergrass Tyer and husband, Keith of Bossier City, LA.; three grandchildren, Gregory, Jonathan and Stephen all of Bossier City, LA and sister, Annie Pendergrass of Noxapater.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Greg, Jonathan and Stephen Tyer, sons, J.R. and Mike Pendergrass and nephew, Rodney Ramsey.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Louisiania.
