Kenneth Paul Sears - Services for Kenneth Paul Sears, 65, of Carthage were held Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services with military honors were held at Indianola City Cemetery.
Sears, retired from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. AFNG, died in an accident on Highway 12 west Feb. 19, 2001.
He had received many honors and awards including the Purple Heart during his military career.
He was a member of Faith Independent Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Tabitha Peoples Sears of Carthage; two sons, Eddie Sears of Kosciusko and Wayne Sears of Indianola; two daughters, Patty Ingram and Sandra Davis of Carthage; a sister, Barbara Ubanks of Akron, Ohio; nine grandchildren.
The Rev. Danny Cochran officiated.
Pallbearers were James Edwards, Dewitt Russell, Ricky Russell, Tony Hughes, Billy Ellington and Allen Minchew.
Myrtle Irene Adams - Graveside services for Miss Myrtle Irene Adams, 86, of Kosciusko were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Carson Ridge Cemetery.
Miss Adams died Feb. 16, 2001 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by seven nieces and nephews.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Mart Bell officiated.
Pallbearers were Bobby Bell, Tony Adams, Tony Brooks, Stevexc Adams, Wayne Oliver and Earnest Adams.

Helen Louise Bridges - Services for Mrs. Helen Louise Bridges, 75, of Weir were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fentress Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bridges, a native of Ackerman, died Feb. 16, 2001 at the Choctaw County Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Dual Bridges of Ackerman, Wesley Bridges of Greenville; two daughters, Peggy Lucas of Ackerman and Jolene Goodnight of Charleston; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
James Hewitt Boyette - Services for James Hewitt Boyette, 78, of Goodman were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Goodman United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Boyette, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, died Feb. 19, 2001 at his residence. He was a graduate of Sallis High School, Holmes Junior College, attended Millsaps College, Columbia and Harvard Universities.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Goodman United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine McMullen Boyette of Goodman; two sons, Kenny Boyette of West Point and Joe Boyette of Goodman; two daughters, Sharon Gault of Greenville, Phyllis Keveryn of Jackson; three sisters, Edna Bowling of Jackson, Ouida Pitre of Thibodaux, La., Claudine Matthews of Jackson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Kenny Boyette and and the Rev. Walter Hughley officiated.
Pallbearers were Wynn and Will Gault, Russell and David Boyette, Greg Keveryn and Jerry Harrell.
Henry Lee Brooks - Services for Henry Lee Brooks, 66, of Kosciusko were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Travelers Rest M.B. Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Brooks, a native of Attala County, died Feb. 10, 2001 at the University Medical Center in Jackson following a short illness.
He is survived by his mother, Lou Willie Brooks of Kosciusko; a son, Tony Brooks of Kosciusko; two daughters, Johnnie Lee and Emma Barksdale of Kosciusko; a sister, Mary Virginia Harris of Kosciusko; a brother, John W. Brooks of Kosciusko; seven grandchildren.
The Rev. Joe Louis Hawthorne officiated with Myricks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Victor Lee, A.J. Wilson, Alvin Gaston, Jessie Lee, Charles Riley, Tracey Lee, Tony Brooks, James Lee, David Gaston, Jerry Brooks and Andre Brooks.
Julia M. Carr - Services for Mrs. Julia M. Carr, 87, of Choctaw County were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hopewell M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carr died Feb. 11, 2001 at the Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman following an illness of several days.
She is survived by a son, L.V. Carr of McCool; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Dalton Lamar Gilbert - Services for Dalton Lamar Gilbert, 76, of Jackson were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
Gilbert, a native of Attala County, died Feb. 18, 2001 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was a retired electrician and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Janetta Gilbert of Jackson; two daughters, Debra Jan Lindsay of Madison and Lisa Brown of Jackson; two brothers, James Gilbert of Sylacauga, Ala., and Bill Gilbert of Newport, Tenn.; four sisters, Doris York of Arkansas City, Kan., Helen Middlebrook of Pascagoula, Faye Gilbert of Greenville and Hassie Lou Frazure of Sallis; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Rev. Billy Frazure officiated.
Myrtle Sims Knight - Myrtle Sims Knight, 83, died Feb. 19, 2001 at Crossgate Manor Nursing Home. Services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Kosciusko City Cemetery.
The Rev. Barry Corbett officiated.
Mrs. knight was born in Attala County and was a lifelong resident of Kosciusko, except for her later years. Besides being a housewife, she worked at Morgan & Lindsey and later at Thornton's Men's Wear. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the Cradle Roll and then taught many years in the children's Sunday School Department. She was active in the WMU and the Women's Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oscar Knight, a brother, Horace Allen Sims, and a sister, Ava Louise Rogers.
Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Allen and Gayle McGee Knight of Columbia; brother, Morris Sims of Jackson; two grandsons, Allen Guyton Knight and Robert Andrew Knight; two great-grandchildren, all of Columbia.
Pallbearers were Allen Knight, Rob Knight, Drew Chandler, Don Gould, Bill Washburn, Kermit Campbell, and Bill Day.
Honorary pallbearers were J.D. Watts and Marcell Duke.
Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Walter L. Lucas - Graveside services for Walter Longstreet Lucas, 77, of Goodman were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman.
Lucas died Feb. 17, 2001 at the University Hospital in Lexington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and Korea retiring in 1963. He was also a retired ranger at Holmes County State Park. He was a member of the Goodman United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Miller Lucas of Goodman.
The Rev. Ken Morris officiated.
Pallbearers were Jack Albin, Bill Floyd, Joe Boyette, Nathan Hodges, Billy Joe Hodges, Sonny McNeer and Edwin Albin.

Lena L. Liddell - Funeral services for Mrs. Lena L. Liddell, 88, of Ackerman were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chester Baptist Church.
Mrs. Liddell, a native of Choctaw County, died Feb. 14, 2001 at Webster General Hospital in Eupora. She was a member of Chester Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Johnny Liddell of Ackerman, Jimmy Liddell of Mathiston and Billy Liddell of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mamie Oswalt of Tremonton, Utah, Letha Steadman of Jackson; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Chester Baptist Church.
Marietta W. Love - Services for Mrs. Marietta Worrell Love, 84, of Ackerman were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Ackerman Methodist Church with burial in Enon Cemetery.
Mrs. Love died Feb. 16, 2001 at the Choctaw County Hospital. She was a member of Ackerman United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Tommy Love of North Port, Ala.; a daughter, Rebecca Orr of Ackerman; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy or Ackerman United Methodist Church.
