Jonothon Shayne Herrington
Services for Jonothon Shayne Herrington, 4, of Lena were held Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Bowlin Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery in Sallis. The youngster died Sept. 23, 2004 in an automobile accident on Highway 25. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Felicia Herrington of Lena; grandparents, Aussie and Waudine Herrington of Lena, Wanda and Allen Havens of Yazoo City, James Hughes of Cleveland; great-grandparents, Jimmy and Myrene Hughes of Kosciusko, Treacy Mixon of Indianola and W.F. Havens of Cleveland.
Rev. Johnny Parks and Rev. Larry Odom officiated with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Edward Long Hutchison
Services for Edward Long Hutchison, 73, of Pooler, Ga., were held Wednesday at noon at Roller Citizens Funeral Home with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park.
Hutchison, a machine operator for Great Dane Trailers, died Oct. 2, 2004 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Hutchison of Pooler; a daughter, Patricia Ann Liggett of Pooler; a son, Eddie Joe Hutchison of Marion, Ark.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Nora Lee Weeks Jennings
Mrs. Nora Lee Weeks Jennings, 77, of Kosciusko, a retired clerk for Hammond Hardware, died Sept. 21, 2004 at her residence.
Services were held Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Mrs. Jennings was a member of First Baptist Church and a long time Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Marcus Pellon Jennings; sons, Danny Weeks of New York, N.Y. and David Jennings of Meridian; a daughter, Laurie Elaine Jennings Browning of Kosciusko; brothers, Gilbert Garland Weeks and Thomas Michael Weeks, both of Carriere, and James Clifford Weeks of Tylertown; a sister, Nedra Kay Doyle of Carriere; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Weeks and Olive Pearson Weeks; and sister Margaret Elaine Weeks Herring.
Jordan Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Steven David Jennings
Steven David Jennings, 31, of Starkville died Oct. 3, 2004 at his residence. The Kosciusko native worked for North Jackson Superette in Starkville. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Starkville.
Visitation was to be held Oct. 6, 5-8 p.m.a t Welch Funeral Home.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Belinda Garrard Buchanon and Terry Phillip Buchanon of Starkville; his father, David P. Jennings of Meridian; a sister, Jennifer Jennings of Starkville; grandparents, Grace Garrard, Marcus P. Jennings of Kosciusko and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Buchanon of Greenville.
Merle Leach
Services for Mrs. Merle Leach, 93, were held Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastopol.
Mrs. Leach died Sept. 26, 2004 at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton.
She is survived by three sons, Petty leach of Sebastopol, Charlie Leach of Conehatta, Jim Leach of McCool; two daughters, Tiney Rhodes of Pearl, Jean Jones of Union; two brothers, Wright and Clyde Petty of Harperville; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Burial was in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Martin Orlando Love
Services for Martin Orlando Love, 18, of Sallis were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Love, a native of Attala County, died Oct. 1, 2004 in Attala County.
He is survived by his father and mother, Jack Love and Patricia Love; a brother, Jack T. Witt; grandparents, Frank and Annie Witt.
Rev. Andrew Harris officiated with Winters Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gertrude Triplett Morgan
Graveside services for Mrs. Gertrude Triplett Morgan, 81, of Kosciusko were held Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at Parkway Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan died Sept. 28, 2004 at Hospice In His Hands Ministries in Madden. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority at Millsaps College, the Twentieth Century Club and the Little Garden Club.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence E. Morgan III of Kosciusko, and Geoffrey Morgan of Madison; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Edwin Norman McKay
Edwin Norman McKay, 72, of Canyon Lake, Texas, died Sept. 19, 2004. He was the son of the late Grady V. and Alma Nadie Thomas McKay. He was a native of Leake County but grew up in Kosciusko and was a 1949 graduate of Kosciusko High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War and later retired from the Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Cranes Mill Baptist Church in Canyon Lake and Capitol Masonic Lodge AF&AM in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Kathrine Irene Johnson McKay of Canyon Lake; a daughter, Kellie Postle of Houston, Texas; a son, Doug McKay of Honolulu, Hawaii; a brother, A.L. McKay of Laurel; two grandsons.
A chapel service was held at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in Canyon Lake with Rev. Jerry Becknal and Rev. Greg Martin of Grand Prairie, Texas, officiating. Interment was at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, with military honors.
Pallbearers were Carlton Johnson, Sam Kelly, Wiley Oliver, Richard Oliver, Charles Roberts and Morgan McMillan.

Isiah Moore
Services for Isiah "Ike" Moore, 66, of Attala County, were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Winters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Moore, a carpenter, died Sept. 30, 2004 in Hinds County.
He is survived by two sisters, Christine Hoye and Maudie Estes, both of Kosciusko; a brother, Robert Moore of Detroit, Mich.
Rev. Sammie Moore officiated.
Barbara Carolyn McDowell
Services for Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Carolyn McDowell, 55, of Ackerman were held Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church cemetery near Weir.
Mrs. McDowell, a native of French Camp, died Sept. 27, 2004 in Columbus.
She is survived by a son, Gene McDowell of Dayton, Texas; two daughters, Kim Ivy of Ackerman and Carolyn Ripkowski of Dayton, Texas; a brother, Jimmy Howard Sr. of Ackerman; two sisters, Helen McDaniel and Patty Sevetkowick both of Stewart; six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce McDowell.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Jean R. Owens
Services for Mrs. Jean Riser Owens, 76, of Byram were held Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Raymond Cemetery.
Mrs. Owens, a lifelong resident of Byram, was a member of Country Woods Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alex D. Owens Jr., and a son, Dale Owens.
She is survived by a daughter, Janelle Johnson of Byram; a son, Dean Owens of Kosciusko; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Henry Riser of Raymond.
