Booker T. Wilder

Services for Booker T. Wilder, 75, of Kosciusko will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Old Jerusalem Church with burial in the church cemetery.

He died Oct. 18, 2007 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.

Winters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nannie Lee Clark

Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Lee Clark, 81, of Kosciusko will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark, a native of Tupelo, died Oct. 23, 2007 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, J.C. Clark (Jane) and William Cotton Clark (Judy) of Kosciusko; four grandchildren, Selina Sexton of Deatsville, Ala., Steve Clark of Flowood, Leigh Ann Davis and Dawn McLellan, both of Kosciusko; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Lofton of Moreville, Linda Massey of Alabaster, Ala., Thelma Buckelew of Jamison, Ala.; a very special friend, Richard Bain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clark, and a brother, Buddy Fox.

Pallbearers will be Gerrell Downs, Larry Frazure, Jerry Massey, Jimmy Wayne Massey, Robert Brown and Eddie Pickett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Massey, David Hill, Charlie Jones and Richard Bain.

Rev. Jerry Meggs and Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate.

Eunice Griffin Burt

Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Griffin Burt, 98, of Kosciusko will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Delydia Hill M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.

She died Oct. 22, 2007 in Leake County.

Winters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jessie William Ramage

Jessie William Ramage, 91, of Quitman, former resident of Kosciusko and a retired employee of Superior Coach Corp. died Oct. 25, 2007 at Rush Hospital in Meridian.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial including military honors in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Grady Crowel and Rev. Gene Neal officiated.

Ramage served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Quitman, with a transfer of letter from the First Baptist Church of Ethel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Plen Bennett and Vassie Rigby Bennett; sisters, Iate Dowell Drye, Irene Estep, Bitz Ramage, Rubye Barton and Beatrice Ramage.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Katherine Moore Ramage; daughter, Louann Bennett and her husband, Dwight of Quitman; grandchildren, Britton Bennett and wife Rebecca, Heath Bennett, and Thad Bennett and his wife, Stacey; sisters, Marie Drye, Lucille Jenkins, and Tina Wiles all of Kosciusko.

Pallbearers were Britton Bennett, Heath Bennett, Thad Bennett, Larry Barton, Johnny Estep and Jackie Wiles.

Marion Hubbert Loggans

Marion Hubbert Loggans, 76, of New Orleans died Oct. 28, 2007. She was born Feb. 14, 1931 in French Camp.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La., on Oct. 31, at 1 p.m.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Methodist Church, French Camp, on Friday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Coleman Loggans; her parents, J.E. “Lige” Hubbert and Nora Bowles Hubbert; her brothers, Leo Hubbert and Winston Hubbert and her sister, Helen Hubbert Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kay Loggans Cox of Kenner, La., and her son, Joseph Stewart Loggans of Vancouver, Wash., and their spouses, Lionel August “Beau” Cox and Susan Brockhoeft Loggans and her sister, Dell Hubbert Sylvester of Jackson.

She was the devoted “Maw Maw” of Joseph Songe of New Orleans.

Marion was a proud graduate of French Camp Academy. She was an active member of the alumni association. Upon graduation, she was employed as a secretary for the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

During her lifetime, she was employed as a secretary and later became a licensed real estate agent in the New Orleans area.

Marion was devoted to her family and many friends. She enjoyed homemaking and was also an avid gardener known for her “green thumb”. She loved being around nature and bird watching. She traveled as much as possible and particularly enjoyed her travels to Hawaii and Costa Rica.

She will be missed by her many relatives, friends and neighbors and by her constant companions, Gretchen and Shaggy. Friends, near and far, will miss her laughter and her desire to make others happy.

In lieu of flowers, donations to French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, Miss. 39745, would be appreciated by the family.

Howard Luse

Funeral services for Howard Luse, 71, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Winters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery.

He died Oct. 25, 2007 in Evanston, Ill.

Lamar Dwight Rone

Lamar Dwight Rone, 64, of Kosciusko died Nov. 4, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett and Rev. Mark Parnell will officiate.

Rone served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Zelma Rone and a brother, Denzil Rone.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Rone; daughter, Denae Cain and her husband John-Mark of Kosciusko; son, Stephen Rone and wife Haley of Clinton; two grandchildren, Kinley and Breelyn Cain; brother, Dean Rone and wife Linda.

Pallbearers will be Joe Cain, Guy Collins, Jimmy Henry, Jimmy Rone, Les Rone and John Wiggers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Deason, Jimmy Pruitt and John Ryan.

Betty Jean Miller

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Miller will be held Nov. 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Millspring M.B. Church with burial in Fancher Hill M.B. Church cemetery.

Dotson Funeral Home of Weir is in charge of arrangements.

Sudie Kate Bassett

Services for Sudie Kay Bassett will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Dr. Dan Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Bassett, 63, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at her home.

She was a native of Kosciusko and a graduate of Kosciusko High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Miss. State University. She taught for a number of years at Philadelphia High School and also worked as a graduate assistant at MSU. She formerly worked as secretary to Alford & Mars Law Firm, Molpus Lumber Company, and most recently for Dr. Duane Stokes at Northside Animal Hospital. Mrs. Bassett was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Kosciusko. She helped sponsor Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Kay Bell.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Bassett of Philadelphia; two sons, Mike Bassett of Gusteen, CA, and William Bassett of Madison; two grandchildren, Ashley Grace Bassett, and William Christian Bassett; and one sister, Sherry Johnson of Eupora.

Frances Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Moore, 89, of Kosciusko will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Thomastown Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Barry Corbett and Rev. Albert Clark will officiate.

Mrs. Moore, a retired seamstress, died Nov. 7, 2007 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was born Nov. 30, 1917 in Thomastown to Durf and Minnie Lee Gober Myrick. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kosciusko.

She is survived by her son, James “Bud” Moore of Kosciusko; daughters, Elaine Lang of Corona, Calif., and Barbara Sharp of Florence, Ala.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Moore, Hal Armstrong, Dwight Myrick, Michael Myrick, David Shelley and Randy Triplett.

Sudie Pearl Boyette

Mrs. Sudie Pearl Boyette, 80, lifelong resident of Zama, died Nov. 7. 2007 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Jordan Funeral Home Thursday, 5-8 p.m. and at the church from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Rev. Larry Harvey will officiate.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Corr of Ethel; a sister, Lois Marie Bernard of Memphis; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Boyette, parents Louis and Eva Sanders Thompson and a son, Jimmy Boyette.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery fund.

Kathryn Tabor

Funeral services for Miss Kathryn Tabor, 83, of Kosciusko will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Kosciusko City Cemetery. She died Nov. 7, 2007 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Rev. James Salter will officiate.

Miss Tabor, a retired secretary for the Employment Security Commission, was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was president of her Sunday School class.

She is survived by nieces Debra Faulkner of Richland, Laura Edwards of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara Perkins of Raymond and Sandra Webb of Carthage; nephews, Bob Tabor Jr. of Eufala, Ala., Steve, Doug, Jeff and Barry Tabor, all of Pearl.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Tabor and J.W. Tabor Jr.

Shercy Danielle Lewis

Services for Shercy Danielle Lewis were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Bethel M.B. Church at Sallis.

Arrangements were handled by Dotson Funeral Home of Weir.

Rev. Henning Andrews

A memorial celebration ceremony for Rev. Henning Andrews, 95, of Houlka will be held Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Houlka. A private burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Rev. Andrews, a native of Tennessee, died Dec. 11, 2007 in Harker Heights, Texas. He had held a pastorate in Attala County.

Houston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Infant Zachariah L. Mallett

Graveside services for nine-month-old Zachariah L. Mallett will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mallett Cemetery.

The infant died Dec. 16, 2007 in Holmes County.

Winters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
