Randy Dale Simmons
Randy Dale Simmons, age 31, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Kiln, MS. Randy was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and was a long-time resident of Kiln. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald Simmons; and his grandparents, James Claude Simmons, Nellie Simmons, and John T. Shavers. Survivors include his wife, Amanda "Mandy" Marie Simmons; his children, Kimberly Nicole Simmons, Randy Dale Simmons, Jr., and Jaden Marie Simmons, all of Bay St. Louis; his mother, Lillie Mae Simmons of Kiln; his siblings, Donna Marie Cameron (Timmy) of Kiln, Donald "Smiley" Wayne Simmons of Kiln, and Sandy Gail Holke (Justin) of Hawaii; his grandmother, Lillie Shavers of Kiln; and his nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Joley, Olivia, Cody, James and Cianna. Friends are invited to join the Simmons family for visitation from 6:00 until 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at THE RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Kiln-DeLisle Road Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Standard-Sand Hill Cemetery.

Rosie Crutchfield
Rosie Ann Crutchfield, age 64 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Monday, July 2, 2007 in Gulfport. Mrs. Crutchfield was a native and lifelong resident of Long Beach. She was a 1960 graduate of Long Beach High School and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach. Mrs. Crutchfield is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Barrale, Sr & Daisey Shavers Barrale; her brother, Louis Barrale, Jr and her grandson, Robert Allcock. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, James O. Crutchfield; her two daughters, Denise (Robert) Allcock and Mary Crutchfield and her fiance Steven James; her brother, Henry Barrale; her grandchildren, Deidre Allcock, Brittany Allcock, Alecia Crutchfield, Anthony James, and Nick James and her niece, Jessica Barrale all of Long Beach. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 6-8pm at THE RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.

Mancill Clayton
Mancill Earl Clayton, (Retired Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force), age 86, and a resident of Long Beach, died July 6, 2007 in Gulfport. Mr. Clayton retired in 1960 from the U.S. Air Force. He was also retired from the MS Department of Transportation. He was an avid fisherman, and loved cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fay Clayton; and his granddaughter, Shelly Morrison. He is survived by four daughters: Liz Bailey and her husband Fred, of Indiana; Fay Trieste, of Oakridge, TN; Nancy Cook and her husband Ron, of Granberry, TX; and Tracey Decena and her husband A.J., of Long Beach; son: Michael Clayton, and his wife Rachel, of Gulfport; sister: Katherine Johnson, of Winston-Salem, NC; longtime friend & companion: Sarah Blue of Long Beach; nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit at THE RIEMANN FAMILY'S Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Highway 49N, on Monday, July 9, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Long Beach, on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., on July 10, 2007. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 19221 Pineville Rd, Long Beach, MS 39560.

George Jackson
George D. Jackson, 73, a retired US Air Force major, died July 8th at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Mr. Jackson was born in Richwood, West Virginia, the oldest of four children. He graduated from Richwood High School in 1952 and worked in the coal mining industry doing various jobs including surveying. He joined the Air Force through the Aviation Cadets Program in 1955. Major Jackson served 21 years of distinguished service in the US Air Force. He graduated from Undergraduate Navigator Training and Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) School in 1957. He served as a B-52 Electronics Weapons Officer at Loring AFB, Maine, Biggs AFB, Texas, Walker AFB, New Mexico, and Westover AFB, Massachusetts. Major Jackson retired from his final Air Force assignment at the Richmond Radar Bomb Scoring (RBS) Site, Richmond, Kentucky. Major Jackson served in various leadership positions including two tours in Standardization and Evaluation (STAN BOARD), Electronic Warfare Instructor, RBS Operations Officer and RBS Commander. He accomplished five deployments to South East Asia from 1967 through 1972. His decorations include the Bronze Star, the Air Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Mr. Jackson earned a BS in Business Education from Eastern Kentucky University. After retiring from the Air Force in 1976, he worked various interests including teaching, real estate, and auctioneering. He retired to Long Beach, Mississippi in 1987 where he was an avid golfer, gardener, and card enthusiast. His wife of 45 years, Tina Marie LaRosa of Long Beach, Mississippi, died in July, 2004. Survivors include two daughters and a son, Dianna Clarkson of Lexington, Kentucky, Sally Crain of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Donald Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Travis, his brother Norman Jackson, and his eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 15 July from 6 to 8 p.m. at the RIEMANNFAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, Mississippi. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, 16 July followed by an internment with military honors at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of George Jackson may be made to the Richwood High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, PO Box 408, Richwood, WV 26261-0408.

Ryleigh Holifield
Ryleigh Dianne Holifield, 3 months old and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Gulfport. Ryleigh had a beautiful smile and she will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Ryleigh is survived by her loving parents, James & Wendy Holifield, her brother, Tyler Holifield and her sister, Kaleigh Holifield all of Gulfport; her maternal grandparents, Jim & Cheri Morris of Gulfport; her maternal great grandmother, Anna Maltby of Florida; her paternal grandparents, Glen & Glenda Holifield of Woolmarket and Shirley & Michael Perdue of Meridian, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 5-6pm at THE RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road Chapel in Gulfport. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 1:30pm at Nugent United Methodist Church in Gulfport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Nugent United Methodist Church, 13183 John Clark Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.

Henry Green
Henry Wayne "Hank" Green, 80, of Gulfport died Monday, April 10, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Green was born in Ellisville, MS and later served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Gulfport VA in the Maintenance Department for 20 years. After retirement from the VA, he worked as a general contractor for 25 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Gulfport, VFW, and American Legion, Joe Graham Post #119. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Befton and Willie D. Green; and 2 brothers, Robert Befton Green, Jr. and Neil Seward Green. Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Green, Gulfport; 2 sons: Terry Wayne (Kathryn) Green, Houston, TX and Richard Wayne (Ronda) Green, Baytown, TX; 5 grandchildren: Katherine and Austin Green, Houston, TX and Richard, Rachel, and Rebecca Green, Baytown, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2006 from 12 noon until 2 pm at First United Methodist Church, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the church sanctuary. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 2301 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501 or to MHG Hospice, P.O. Box 1810, Gulfport, MS 39502. Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc, Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport in charge of arrangements.

Shirley Stanley
Shirley Ferguson Stanley, 85, of Biloxi, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Gulfport. Mrs. Stanley was a life-long resident of West Biloxi. She and her husband were the owners of the Red & White Grocery Store in Biloxi. Mrs. Stanley was one of the founding members of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Stanley; parents, Julian and Anestra Ferguson; her son, William "Buddy" Stanley; grandson, Kevin Raymond; granddaughter, Tracy Raymond Speed; and sister, Beverly Tunia; and brother, Julian Albert Ferguson, Jr. Mrs. Stanley will be greatly missed by her three children, Geraldine Raymond and husband, Bill, Thomas Stanley and wife, Sylvia, and Mary Donlin and husband, Bernie, all of Biloxi; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Sibrel of Gulfport. Friends are invited to join the Stanley family for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi. Memorial contributions may be made to Fatima's St. Vincent De Paul, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. Milton Cassady
Milton Earl Cassady, age 86, a resident of Long Beach passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2007 in Gulfport. Mr. Cassady was born in New York, and was a coast resident over 60 years. He served in the United States Air Force and was a WWII veteran. He was a life member of the VFW, DAV and the American Legion. Mr. Cassady was the co-owner of M&M Patio Sales in Long Beach. He is preceded in death by his wife Marie Cassady, his daughter Dianne M. Cassady, and his granddaughter Melissa Michelle Brown. He is survived by his daughter Brenda Cassady of Long Beach; his grandsons, Joseph Brown and wife Debra of Gulfport, and Todd Brown of Long Beach; and his great-granddaughter Courtney Brown. Funeral services were held at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road on Monday, July 16, 2007. Interment followed in the Long Beach City Cemetery.

Charles Birdwell
Charles Dean Birdwell, age 62, of Gulfport, died on November 4, 2007 in Gulfport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Link Birdwell and Velma Louise Birdwell, formerly of Springfield, TN. Mr. Birdwell is survived by his wife, Vicki K. Birdwell of Gulfport; his son, Stephen Michael Clark of Riverside, CA; a daughter, Tiffany Nicole Birdwell of Biloxi; a brother, Roy L. Birdwell and his wife, Lois, of Sartel, MN; and two sisters, Beverly I. Lee and her husband, Mike, of Joliet, TN and Carolyn A. Cardwell and her husband, Bobby, of Nashville, TN. He was a former manager for Orkin and Terminex in MS and FL; was of the Baptist faith; and enjoyed fishing. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 Chapel, Gulfport where friends may call from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. 'We will always keep you close to our hearts'.

Nolan Nick Kingston, Jr.
Nolan (Nick) Anthony Kingston, Jr., age 63, of Gulfport, died November 6, 2007 in Gulfport. Mr. Kingston was preceded in death by his father, Nolan A. Kingston, Sr.; grandparents, Alphonse Hoda and Thofield Hoda and Thomas Kingston and Agnes Kingston; and a brother, Timothy J. Kingston Sr. He is survived by his wife, Eddie B. Kingston of Gulfport; his mother, Nola E. King of Bay St. Louis; his daughters, Kelli E. Kingston of Long Beach; Kerri Kingston Golman and her husband, Roy, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Melody Kay Turnley and Dan Fulton of Gulfport; his sons, Nolan (Tony) A. Kingston, III of Phoenix, Arizona; Johnny Ray Ryan and his wife, Koreen, of Millington, Tennessee; Harline DeWayne Ryan and his wife, Veronica, of Long Beach; his sisters, Jackie Kingston Kidd and her husband, Raymond, of Bay St. Louis; Shirley Kingston Kelly and her husband, Dennis, of Jacksonville, Florida; his brother, Kevin Kingston, Sr. and his wife, Belinda, of Slidell, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kingston was a graduate of St. Stanislaus High School and attended Pearl River Jr. College. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kingston loved people, entertaining and cooking. He was a good Christian, good father and good grandfather who loved spending time with his family. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 9, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. Burial will follow in Rotten Bayou Cemetery. The family prefers memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.

Wilfred Raistrick
Wilfred (Roger) Raistrick age 71 a resident of Manassas Park, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2007 in Biloxi. Mr. Raistrick was born in Gulfport on January 4, 1936 and had been a resident of Virginia for the past 48 years. He was a retired salesman for the Wonder Bread Company after 38 years. He was a 45 year member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Virginia. "He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him." He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mildred Raistrick; his mother, Frances Raistrick; two brothers, Albert N. and William Raistrick; a grandson, Donald (Bud) Raistrick Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Carly Raistrick. He is survived by three children, Roger D. Raistrick (Valerie) of Front Royal, Virginia; Donald W. Raistrick of Manassas Park, Virginia; and Lynette D. McCartney (Scott) of Front Royal, Virginia; a brother, Cecil Bilbo of Gulfport and two cousins of Gulfport, Archie Randall and Barbara Sellier; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service for Mr. Raistrick at the Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas Park, Virginia at a later date. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
