Funeral services for Shannon Suzanne Adams, 20, were held on April 28, 2000 at Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel.

Miss Adams died on April 26, 2000 of heart failure. She was a student and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Baxter of Ackerman and father, Charles Adams of Noxapater; step-father, William Baxter of Ackerman; sister, Shasidy Adams of Ackerman; two step-brothers, Adam Baxter of Ackerman and Michael Baxter of Portland, OR; half-brother, Patrick Adams of Noxapater; half-sister, Christy Adams of Noxapater; two nephews, Joseph Grant Baxter of Louisville and D. J. Baxter of Louisville; two grandmothers, Grace Baxter of Ackerman and Mary Alice Adams of Ackerman.

Rev. Jimmy Flake officiated at the service with burial in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Burton Bell

Funeral services for Burton Bell, 83, were held on April 22, 2000 at Bogue Chitto Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Bell died on April 19, 2000 at Anderson Hospital of Meridian.

Survivors include daughter, Earlene Jones of Philadelphia; son, Lamar Bell of Philadelphia; sister, Cecilia Wesley of Louisville; brother, Bob Bell of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Bell; his mother, Leona Hickman and son, Burch Bell.

Burial was at Bogue Chitto Cemetery #2 of Philadelphia.
Milling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Price Coleman

Funeral services for Ethel Price Coleman, 92, of Noxapater were held on Saturday, April 22, 2000 at First Apostolic Church.

Mrs. Coleman died on Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at Winston Medical Center.

She was a member of First Apostolic Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters Alice Smith of Bean Station, TN, Margaret C. Thomas of Cleveland, OH, and Sharon Reed of Louisville; sons, Paul C. Coleman of Florence, Al, Daniel P. Coleman of Louisville and Pat S. Coleman of Florence, Al; sister, Jewel Johnson of Noxapater; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

Rev. Burlon Commer and Bro. Michael Halfacre officiated at the service with burial in Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to First Apostolic Church.

Theron Levon Nichols

Funeral services for Theron Levon Nichols, 65, of Philadelphia were held on April 22, 2000 at Mt. Ary M. B. Church.

Mr. Nichols died on April 17, 2000 of cardiac arrest at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.

He was a retired bus driver with Neshoba County Schools and a member of Mt. Ary Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Terrell Nichols of Houston, TX and Terrence Nichols of Starkville; sisters, Georgia R. Culberson and Catherine Henson of Philadelphia; brothers, Howard Nichols of Philadelphia and Kimball Nichols of Fairview Heights, IL; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rev. Charles Griffin officiated at the service at the service with burial in the church cemetery.

Beck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Otis Forest Nicholson

Funeral services for Otis Forest Nicholson, 50, were held on April 24, 2000 at Mt. Moriah M. B. Church.
Mr. Nicholson died on April 20, 2000 of cardiac arrest at Winston Medical Center.

He was an engineer supervisor with Miss. ETV and member of Mount Moriah M. B. Church of Louisville.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran, a deacon and Sunday School teacher at his church and a member of Louisville Housing Board.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Nicholson of Louisville; daughters, Brandie Nicholson and Toni Nicholson of Louisville and Nequeva Gaston of Vienna, GA; sisters, Carol Williams, Dorothy Jean Harper and Mattie Haynes of Louisville and Easter Curtis of Bronx, NY; brothers, William Nicholson of Noxapater, Home Hearst and Billy Metts of Louisville; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Dr. B. M. Pittman officiated at the service with burial in Memorial Gardens.

Beck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Frances Claudine Propst

Funeral services for Frances Claudine Propst, 66, were held on April 25, 2000 at Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Propst died on April 22, 2000 of cancer at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian.

She was a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest J. Propst, Jr. of Louisville; daughter, Jennifer Leah Propst of Clinton and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Oneal and Clurie Freshour and sister, Odessa Freshour.
Rev. Joyce Murphy officiated at the service with burial in Bevil Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Tilghman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sarah Kemp Young
Funeral services for Sarah Kemp Young, 92, of Louisville were held on April 26, 2000 at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Young died on April 25, 2000 of heart failure at Winston County Nursing Home.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a housewife.

Survivors include a son, Guy B. Young of Louisville; brothers, Tom Kemp of Birmingham, AL, Chester Kemp of Columbus and Joe Kemp of Louisville; sisters, Mamie Williams of Louisville and Nan Harris of Moss Point, MS; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Darvin Young.

Rev. Charles Moody officiated at the service with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Heath Morris Addy

Gravesie services for little Heath Morris Addy, the infant son of David and Lisa Addy of the Nanih Waiya Community were held on Friday, May 5, 2000 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating.
Little Heath Morris Addy was stillborn on Monday, May 1, 2000 at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian.

Little Heath Morris Addy is survived by his parents David and Lisa (Thompson) Addy of Louisville, his sister Grace Makayla Addy of Louisville; paternal grandparents, Larry and Sue Addy of Union; maternal grandparents Dan and Ingrid Thompson of Louisville and Glenda Dempsey of Louisville; paternal great-grandparents Mrs. Morris Addy of Decatur and maternal great-grandparents Rufus and Noneine Keene of Louisville, Wade and Sue Heath of Louisville and Larry and Nancy Thompson of Coral Springs, FL.

Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 330 North Mart Plaza Suite 1, Jackson, MS 39206.

Funeral services for Mittie Ann Donald , 61, were held on May 3, 2000, at First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Donald died at her home in Louisville on May 1, 2000. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Bible Study Sunday School Class. She was a customer service representative for Mississippi Valley Gas and a graduate of Noxapater High School.

Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Donald of Louisville; mother, Lydia Myatt of Noxapater; daughter, Mary Gwendolyn Chandler of Augusta, GA; sons, Chuck Donald and Alan Donald of Louisville; sister, Gwen Rakestraw of Jackson and four grandchildren.
Rev. Grady Bailey officiated at the service with burial in Memorial Park.

John Brady Estes

Funeral services for John Brady Estes, 33, of Grand Bay, Al were held on May 1, 2000 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Mr. Estes died on Wednesday, April 26, 2000 in George County. He was an instructor for Ingalls Shipbuilding at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and was a graduate of Louisville High School and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #436.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Sigalas Estes of Grand Bay, AL; daughter, Mary Claire Alexandra Estes of Grand Bay, AL; mother, Alta Mae Beck of Louisville; sisters and brothers in law, Sylvia & Brian Shanabrough of Louisville; Linda and Kinsey Smith of Philadelphia, brother and sister in law, Curtis & Donna Estes of Louisville, father and mother in law, Donnie and Sharon Sigalas of Pascagula and Terry & Patsy Puckett of Galveston, Texas; sister in law, Daphny P. Sigalas of Galveston, TX; brothers and sisters in law, Donald "Pete" & Donna Sigalas of Hurley and Christy & Ernie Lewelling of Pascagoula, nieces and nephews, Allison Shanabrough, Jessie Smith, Lee Smith, Laura Smith, Rebecca Estes, Alex Estes, Riley Estes, Wesley Lane, Jamie Lane, Ethan Sigalas, Ean Sigalas, Erian Sigalas, and Nicholas Lewelling, grandmothers, Mrs. Ollie Mae Estes and Mrs. Vera Atwood, grandparents in law, Mrs. Anita Mixon Black, Mr. and Mrs. E. Rev. Sam Jones officiated at the service with burial in Antioch Cemetery in the Benndale Community of George County.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mary Clair Estes college fund at First Federal Savings and Loan, 903 Jackson Avenue, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

Billy W. Gilmer

Funeral services for Billy W. Gilmer, 46, of Walnut Grove were held on Monday, May 1, 2000 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Gilmer died on Saturday, April 30, 2000 of respiratory failure
in his home.
He was a native of Leake County and a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church where he served as church organist. He earned his Masters Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He taught at South Leake Elementary School for 25 and was currently serving his second term as City Alderman in Walnut Grove. He was formerly the piano player for the Revelations and Gospel Echoes Quartet. He owned Gilmers Community Theater, where he hosted many well known gospel singing groups, as well as plays, weddings, and other community activities.

Survivors include his sister, Pat Blair of Louisville and step-mother, Grace Gilmer of Wrangell, AL.

Rev. John Pace and Rev. Dennis Wells officiated with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Britt, Mark Mayo, Grady Sims, Paul Hogue, S. C. Carson, Steve Livingston. Honorary pallbearers were: Don Gomillion, Marcus Ellis, Leon Young.

Wilcox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Kristi Johnson

Funeral services for Kristi Johnson, 17, of Louisville were held on Monday, May 1, 2000. Miss Johnson died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 30, 2000.

She was an 11th grade student at Louisville High School and a member of West End Baptist Church in Louisville.

Survivors include her parents, Barry Johnson of Louisville and Mary Anne Johnson of Louisville; sisters, Leighanne Johnson and Shey Johnson of Louisville; brother, Casey Johnson of Louisville; maternal grandparents: Ronnie and Jill Johns of Louisville and Rickey and Mary Vowell of Louisville; paternal grandparents: C. F. and Cecile Johnson of Louisville; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Lou Vowell of Louisville; paternal great-grandmother, Willie Strickland of Bay Springs, MS.

Rev. Arnold Davis and Rev. Wayne Hill officiated at the service with burial in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Nowell Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Hettie Cosgrove Luke

Funeral services for Hettie Cosgrove Luke, 92, were held on Friday, April 28 from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Dr. Dan Howard and Rev. Wayne Crenshaw officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Luke died on April 26 at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Longino Community of Neshoba County. She was retired from the Neshoba County General Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Beth Beckham of Philadelphia; one son, Thomas M. Luke, Sr. of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother, M. J. Cosgrove of Philadelphia.

Pallbearers were Keith Luke, John Beckham, Jr. , Sam Gray, Rick Luke, Thomas M. Luke, Jr. , Jonathan Luke, and David Lisenbee.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Challenge to Build Fund or a favorite charity.

Bethel Price

Funeral services for Bethel Price, 96, of Mobile, AL were held on May 6, 2000 at Friendship M. B. Church.

Mr. Price died on April 29, 2000 at Choctaw County Medical Center in Ackerman.
He was a member of Friendship M. B. Church of Ackerman and a construction worker.

Survivors include daughters Louise Price of Ackerman and Rodia Williams of Jackson, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.

Rev. Willie Davis officiated at the service with burial in Enon Cemetery.

Williams & Herring Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
