Funeral services for Claudia C. Moore, 83, of Noxapater, were held Sunday, June 4, 2000, at 2:00 p. m. at Mt. Vernon M. B. Church.

Mrs. Moore died of heart failure at Winston County Care Center on May 29, 2000.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Cannie M. B. Church of Louisville.

Survivors include three daughters Ree Hickman and Rochelle Moore of Louisville and Rosie Burnside of East Palo Alto, CA; two sisters Irma Lou Triplett of Louisville and Addie B. Martin of San Bernadina, CA; one brother Quincy Culberson of Jackson; Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rev. George Love officiated at the service.
Interment was at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Lillian Patterson Adcock

Funeral services for Lillian Patterson Adcock, 98, of Louisville were held Monday, May 29, 200 at Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Adcock died of heart failure at Winston County Medical Center in Louisville on May 26, 2000.

She was a homemaker and member of First Apostolic Church of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by husband Clarence Adcock; three daughters Dorothy Goodin, Sara Kemp and Nita Adcock; son Jimmy Adcock.

Survivors include daughters Ellen Estelle McBrayer of Columbus, Alice Chiarito of Fort Walton Beach, FL , Mary McIntyre of New Philadelphia, OH, Glenda Kemp of Louisville, Rita Groner of Pearl; Son Bud Adcock of Louisville and 20 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

Rev. Burlon Commer officiated at the service with by Rev. Jimmy Guy assisting.

Interment was at Jackson Field Cemetery in Louisville,

Larann Harris

Funeral services for Larann Harris, 74, of Louisville, were held June 3, 2000 at 10 a. m. at Beck Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Harris died of Cardiac Arrest at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville on May 30, 2000.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters Mildred H. Triplett of Louisville and Rose Mary Triplett of Clinton, LA. ; son Mark Collins of Louisville; Godson Rubin Ross of Louisville; three sisters Ora Sue Sanders and Dorothy Ann Coleman both of Louisville and Mamie Dell Warren of Ackerman; A special friend, Carl McComb of Louisville, 15 grandchildren, 10 foster children, 17 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Rev. Charlie Moore officiated at the service. Interment was at New Zion Cemetery.

Beck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Wilson Yates

Funeral Services for Ethel Wilson Yates, 71, of Louisville were held on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Yates died of heart failure at Winston County Medical Center on June 2, 2000.

He was the former business owner of Yates Gulf Service Station, a member of liberty Baptist Church and a member of the Lions Club.

Survivors include wife Christine Smith Yates of Louisville; daughter Dianne Mills of Louisville; sons, Robert Yates and Barney Yates of Louisville and Ted Yates of Noxapater; six granddaughter and 2 great granddaughters; one brother L. C. Yates of Noxapater ; three sisters Naomi Pope of Kosciusko, Alene Smith of Louisville and Linda Hartness of Noxapater; two half-brothers William H. Yates of Noxapater and James T. Yates of Texas; one half-sister Barbara A. Berch of Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.

Rev. Danny Purser officiate at the service with Rev. Bobby Lowery assisting. Interment was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville.

Pallbearers were Paul Smith, Jr. , Ralph Yates, Larry Pope, Jimmy Don Smith, David Johnson and Terry Hartness.

Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mamie Edmond Cooper

Funeral services for Mamie Edmond Cooper, 95, of Noxubee County were held on June 17, 2000 at Center Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper died on June 11, 2000 at Winston County Hospital. She was a member of Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Ophelia Eiland of East St. Louis, IL; Olivia Ashford of East St. Louis, IL; and Kathleen Holmes of East St. Louis, IL; sons, James Edmond Sr, of Louisville, Blumber Cooper of East St. Louis, IL, Houston Cooper of Jackson, Doug Arterberry of Calhoun City, Bennie Cooper of East St. Louis, IL, W. L. Cooper of East St. Louis, IL and Ray Cooper of East St. Louis, IL.

Rev. William Haynes officiated at the service with burial in the church cemetery.

Norma Joyce Howard

Funeral services for Norma Joyce Howard, 48, of Winston County were held on June 11, 2000 at Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howard died on June 9, 2000 at Miss. Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

She was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Howard of Louisville; mother, Hilda Dempsey of Louisville; daughters, Janet Renee Howard, Melinda Jean Howard, Jennifer Lynn Harrell and Kimberly Nicole Howard of Louisville; sister, Mavis Alexander and Sherry Barnett of Louisville; brother, Ralph Lamar Dempsey of Louisville.

Rev. David Clark officiated at the service with burial at Vernon Methodist Church Cemetery.

Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

George Pollard "Pat" Kilpatrick

Funeral services for George Pollard 'Pat" Kilpatrick, 81, of Waco, Texas, were held on May 29, 2000 at China Spring Cemetery with Rev. David Spain officiating.

Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Mississippi, the eldest of seven children of Thaddeus Roger Kilpatrick and Bessie Pollar Kilpatrick. He graduated from high school and entered the military. Mr. Kilpatrick served as a Military Police Officer during WWII. During his military service, he met and married Carol York, his wife of 54 years. She preceded him in death June 25, 1999. A sister, Emma Kilpatrick and a brother, Dr. T. Roger Kilpatrick, Jr. also preceded him in death.

Mr. Kilpatrick represented Library Binding Co. for 27 years, graveling throughout the state of Texas. After his retirement, he and Carol shared many wonderful years together in China Spring. Mr. Kilpatrick was a Methodist. He will be remembered as a wonderful granddaddy, husband and father.

Survivors include his daughter, Jo Baggett and her husband Mike; grandchildren, Cary Baggett and Carl Baggett and his wife Dee Ann, all of Dallas; three sisters, Otis Caperton of Louisville, Joy Wall of Noxapater and Rebecca Becton of Alabama; and one brother, Bill Kilpatrick of Washington, D. C.

George Howard McGee

Graveside services for George Howard McGee, 80, were held on June 14, 2000 at Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. McGee died on June 12, 2000 at Winston Medical Center. He was a retired pharmacist.

Survivors include his wife, Claudine (Pat) McGee of Meridian; two daughters, Judy McGee or Meridian and Janie Weeks of Louisville; granddaughter, Sherry Weeks and Pay Hamby of Northport, AL.

He was a member of Arrowood Baptist Church and Ms. Pharmacist Association. He was a mster Mason and a member of the 507 St. John Lodge.

Rev. Sephus Garrett officiated with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Charles Leroy Miller

Funeral services for Rev. Charles Leroy Miller, 84, of McCool were held on June 15, 2000 at Nowell Funeral Services of Louisville. Rev. Miller died of heart failure on June 13, 2000. He was a minister having served as pastor of churches in the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church for 35 years.

Survivors include a son, Charles McCool Miller of McCool; daughters, Mary Anne Benoist of Starkville, Marie Irwin Boyette of Louisville, Alice Gwendolyn Husley of Biloxi and Nancie Jeanne Upchurch of Starkville; brothers, Billy Jean Miller of Ethel and Donald Miller of Flora; sisters, Mary Nell McNutt of Nashville, TN and Clara Cooksey of Kosciusko; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Prentiss Gordon and Rev. Howard Hathorn officiated at the service with burial in Rural Hill Cemetery.

Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Rush

Funeral services for Lucille Rush, 90, of Choctaw County, were held on June 17, 2000 at Weir Chapel M. B. Church.

Mrs. Rush died on June 10, 2000 of congestive heart failure at Webster County General Hospital in Eupora.
She was a retired homemaker and a member of Weir Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Fred Lewis officiated at the service with burial in Weir Chapel.

James Clarence Stevenson

Funeral services for James Clarence Stevenson, 86, of McCool were held on June 16, 2000 at Weir Presbyterian Church. Mr. Stevenson died on June 14, 2000 of heart failure at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Weir Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include son, C. L. Stevenson of Batesville; daughters, Alice Belk of Weir, Cindy Smith of Columbus and Charlotte King of North Little Rock, AK; brother, David B. Stevenson of Louisville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Rev. Fred Davenport and Rev. Woodrow Bagby officiating.
