Funeral services for Mr. Albert Triplett, 68, were held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Rev. Benjamin Pittman officiated. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Louisville.
A native of Louisville, Mr. Triplett was a laborer. Mr. Triplett died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Survivors include his brother, Leroy Triplett of Louisville.

Mrs. Margaret Ann Stokes

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ann Stokes, 68, were held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Mike Childs officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Mrs. Stokes was employed by TRW in quality control and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stokes died Monday, January 9, 2006, at The Arbor in Ridgeland, MS.
Survivors include her three sons, Jeff Stokes of Clinton, Doug Stokes of Little Rock, Ark. , and Jerry Stokes of Plano, TX; one sister, Doris Hill of Gulfport, MS; one brother, Bobby Eaves of Columbus; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 523, Louisville.

Mrs. Mary Rachel B. Pugh

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rachel B. Pugh, 86, were held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Rev. Mike Childs officiated. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A resident of Louisville, Mrs. Pugh was a retired funeral director. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class as well as the UMW. She worked with Girl Scouts of America, Blood Drives and Heart Fund. Mrs. Pugh died Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Ava Pugh and husband Ted van Landingham of Monroe, LA.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Eubanks, Shot Eubanks, Bennie Horton Gregory, Billy Pearson, David Pugh, Rev. George A. Pugh, Hubert Rhodes, and Ronnie Taylor.

Mr. Charles "Curley" Robertson

Funeral services for Mr. Charles "Curley" Robertson, 66, will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at the Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville.
A resident of Louisville, Mr. Robertson was a retired from the Illinois Central Rail Road and auto body repair. He was also a member of West End Baptist Church and was a Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Robertson died Monday, January 16, 2006, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Roebuck Robertson of Louisville; one daughter, Beverly Lane Hollis of Vernon, AL; two sons, Chuck Robertson, Jr. , of Starkville, and Mark Robertson of Flowood, MS; one sister, Maxine Thrasher of Starkville; one brother, Gene Robertson of Louisville; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were the members of the Military Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or West End Baptist Church.

Mr. Wilbert "Bit" Lewis Adams

Funeral services for Mr. Wilbert "Bit" Lewis Adams, 53, were held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 24, 2006, at New Hope United Methodist Church in De Kalb, MS. Dr. Wayne Bass officiated.
A lifelong resident of the New Hope Community in De Kalb, MS, Mr. Adams was a graduate of Whisenton High School in De Kalb and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in De Kalb. Mr. Adams died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at the Mississippi Care Center in De Kalb.
Survivors include his siblings, Willie T. Adams of De Kalb, and Betty Adams Chamberlain and Della Mae Adams Davis of Anderson, IN; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Albert O'Neal Hill, 82, were held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the Porter Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Rev. Bobby Joe Butler and Rev. Tommy Jones officiated. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Mr. Hill was a farmer and a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Hill died Monday, August 21, 2006, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include his three daughters, Sheila Fleming of Louisville, Sharon Slater of Loretto, TN, and Sandra Neal of Mobile, AL; one son, Gary Hill of Louisville; one brother, Gunnis Hill of Collinsville, MS; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scotty Fleming, Jon Slater, Brad Patterson, Christopher Dean, Jarrod Fleming, Jordan Fleming, and Kurk Slater. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Moore and Coley Bagwell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Black McClure, 85, were held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
A resident of Ackerman, Mrs. McClure was a business partner with her husband. She was a member of Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was very active in the Eastern Star. Mrs. McClure died Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
Survivors include her husband, William M. McClure of Ackerman; one son, Gerald McClure of Columbus; one daughter, Betty Gayle Steiner of Ackerman; one brother, Melton Black of Texas; one sister, Beatrice Cummins of Lynchburg, TN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dr. Joe Suttle

Funeral services for Dr. Joe Suttle, 83, were held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Rev. Bill Smith officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Dr. Suttle was a graduate of Louisville High School, East Central Junior College, Mississippi State University with a B. S. in Agriculture, and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He practiced optometry in Louisville from 1948 until 1981 when he sold his practice, now Louisville Eye Care, to Dr. Ben Crawford. He continued to practice optometry for ten years for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. He was a past member of the board of directors for the Bank of Louisville of the Grenada Banking System. He was president, CEO, and chairman of the Board of Directors for Inter-City Federal Savings Bank, which was later purchased by Peoples Bank, now Renasant Bank. He was Winston County Tree Farmer of the Year, past member of the Louisville Rotary Club, past elder of First Presbyterian Church of Louisville, and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was an entrepreneur involved in various business ventures throughout his life. Dr. Suttle died Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at the Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jeanne H. Suttle of Louisville; two daughters, Pat Fuller of Louisville and Becky Lowther of Jackson; one son, Samuel K. Suttle, MD of Louisville; one sister, Francis Robinson of Meridian; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Roland Byrd, Michael Cravens, Terry Woods, Sam Suttle, Jr. , Joey Thomas, Stewart Boyd, Jason Morgan, and Chad Chapman. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. J. E. Calloway, Dr. Nolen Fulton, Buster McAdory, Henry Fair, Roger Wiggins, and Davis Fair.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eddie Mae Ford Keene, 84, were held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, August 24, 2006, at Doty Springs Baptist Church in McCool. Rev. Don Ray and Rev. Mike Skipper officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A longtime member of Doty Springs Baptist Church, Mrs. Keene served as a former Sunday School Director and was also a life member of the VFW Post 1983 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Keene died Thursday, August 24, 2006, at the Care Center of Louisville.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Slawson of McCool; son, Ronald Keene of Meridian; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Marcus Ray, Richard Ford, Jr. , Charlie Black, Frankie Hughes, Joel Slawson, and Marc Woodruff. Honorary pallbearers were Andrew Woodruff and Richard Woodruff.
Memorials may be made to the Doty Springs cemetery fund.

Funeral services for Mr. Rado McDaniel, 81, were held at 2:00 p. m. Monday, August 28, 2006, at Herbert Baptist Church in Neshoba County. Rev. Phillip Gandy and Rev. Jackie Strebeck officiated. Burial followed in Herbert Cemetery.
A native of Kemper County, Mr. McDaniel was a self-employed dairy farmer. He was a member of Herbert Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 32 years and served on the Neshoba County General Hospital Board for 13 years. Mr. McDaniel died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include his two daughters, Penny Barrier of Noxapater and Jenny Key of Philadelphia; two sons, Tommy McDaniel and Tim McDaniel of Philadelphia; one sister, Marie Tolbert of Laurel; one brother, Wallace McDaniel of Collinsville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clifford McDaniel, Benny McDaniel, Dwight Galloway, Kenneth Ellingburg, Randy Tolbert, and Scotty McDaniel.

Funeral services for Mr. H. Benard Nowell, Jr. , 59, were held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. Rev. Edd Lawrence, Father Brian Carroll and Rev. Randall Sartin officiated. Burial followed in Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale.
A native of Jackson, Mr. Nowell was a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He graduated from Kosciusko High School and from the John A. Gupton College where he earned a degree in mortuary science. He served as Attala County coroner and co-owner and president of Nowell Funeral Services, Inc. , which originated in 1955 with a single funeral home and through acquisitions grew to a total of eighteen funeral homes throughout the states of Mississippi and Arkansas. He also served as president of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association in 1989 and was an active member of the association. Mr. Nowell was president and co-owner of Southern Security Life Insurance Company, Inc. , and was founder and president of Mississippi Marble and Granite. He was an active member of the Lions Club and was presented with the "Citizen of the Year" award by the Clarksdale/Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce in 2004. He served in the Mississippi National Guard, was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Clarksdale, and worked with Hal Fiser to organize "Citizens for Clarksdale. " Mr. Nowell died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Nowell of Clarksdale; two sons, Hal Nowell and Russ Nowell of Louisville; two sisters, Cindy Neal of Clinton, MS, and Janet Massey of Noxapater; two brothers, Dr. Gary Nowell of Clinton, MS, and Joseph Nowell of Thomasville, GA; and four granddaughters.

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Henry Shows, 69, were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Walter Simmons and Rev. Rodney Smith officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Ovett, MS.
A native of Ovett, Mr. Shows was a retired district conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran. Mr. Shows died Saturday, September 16, 2006, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Shows of Louisville; mother, Lorene Shows of Ovett, MS; three daughters, Cheryl Freeman of Canyon, TX, Mary Westerburg of Brandon, MS, and Margaret King of Oxford, MS; one son, Mark Shows of Louisville; four sisters, Hilda Woodward of Ovett, MS, Linda Woodward of Slidell, LA, Pat Turner of Ellisville, MS, and Tommie Shows of Brandon, MS; and seven grandchildren.
