She was a former member of Haywood Baptist Church. Mrs. Morris, the widow of Ealy Morris, leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Lindsay of Sylva; two sons, Robert Stone of Alabaster, Ala., and Carl Morris of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, J.C. Shepherd of Eupora, Billy Shepherd of Maben, and Wilford Shepherd of Tupelo, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons.

THOMAS L. MURDOCK, 78, of Olive Branch, formerly of Union County, retired industrial mechanic and wood craftsman, died April 9 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services were held April 12 at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. He was a former member of Oakhaven Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Murdock leaves his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Murdock; two daughters, Peggy Anderson of Memphis and Nell Ayers of Southaven; a son, Jerry Murdock of Olive Branch; a sister, Myrtle Mae Owen of Guntown, three grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

FREDDIE HUGH PEELER, 64, of Ashland, retired truck driver for Campbell 66, died April 15 at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. Services were held April 16 at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with burial in Beech Hill Cemetery in Ashland. He was a member of Ashland Church of Christ. Mr. Peeler leaves two daughters, Mitzi Feathers of Potts Camp, and Gina Peeler of Olive Branch; a son, Randy Peeler of Southaven; two sisters, Martha Hopkins of Hernando, and Carol Jarvis of DeKalb; two brothers, Billy Peeler and Phil Peeler, both of Ripley, and three grandchildren, Rebecca Peeler, Mandy Feathers, and Kasey Feathers.

Pierce and Roy Pierce, both of Southaven, Henry Pierce of Senatobia, and Albert Pierce of Haleyville, Ala.; a sister, Dorothy True of Water Valley, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Whiteville, and a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Roberson leaves his wife, Jesse Roberson; a son, Dale Alan Roberson of Southaven; two stepsons, Joseph Christopher Barling and Travis Michael Barling, both of Charlotte, N.C., a grandson, and three stepgrandchildren.
