Mr. Chester Cecil Breedlove

June 11, 2010

Funeral services for Mr. Chester Cecil Breedlove, 82, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday June 13, 2010 at John E. Stephens Chapel in Philadelphia. Rev. Whit Lewis and Rev. Stuart Purvis officiated. Burial services followed at Spring Creek Cemetery in Philadelphia where Rev. Barry Fulton officiated.

A native of Philadelphia, Mr. Breedlove was veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired from General Motors. He was also a member of Neshoba County Shrine Club, Philadelphia Lodge No. 93 F&AM, Meridian Consistory and Hamasa Temple in Meridian, and Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Breedlove died Friday June 11, 2010 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Survivors include wife Thelma Elois Tucker Breedlove of Philadelphia, daughter Judy Kay Johnson of Philadelphia, sister Hettie Ellis of Carthage, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jerry Breedlove, Joe Breedlove, Bobbie Ray Breedlove, Jerry Ferguson, Tommy Glenn Rigsby, J. V. Goforth, Michael Abel, Joey Blount, Jason Abel, Jacob Abel and MaKaylia Abel.

John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services of Philadelphia was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mildred Anita Testo

June 7, 2010

Mildred Anita Teston, passed away June 7, 2010 at her home.

She was born to Banner and Ginny Massey on Feb. 18, 1920 in Winston County, Mississippi.

She is survived by; son, Gary Lee McCullough; daughter, Beverly Kay Teston.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Beatrice Stevenson

June 9, 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Stevenson, 87, were held at 2 p. m. June 11 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Rev. Marlon Adcock officiated. Burial followed in Murphy Creek Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Stevenson was a homemaker. She was also a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stevenson died June 9 at Rush Hospital in Meridian.

Survivors include daughter Barbara Chunn of Louisville, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ruth Clay

Saturday June 12, 2010

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Clay, 90, were held 10 a. m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Noxapater Baptist Church in Noxapater. Rev. Wayne Sanders officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

A native of Noxapater, Mrs. Clay was a Homemaker. She was also a member of Noxapater Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clay died Saturday June 12, 2010 at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home.

Survivors include sister Loretta Kirk of Noxapater, two grandchildren Bob Clay and Lisa Stamper, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband Maurice Clay, two sons Willard and Buddy Clay and great grandson, Jack Lyn Clay.

Pallbearers were Sidney Massey, Bruce Kirk, Massey Kirk, Ben Kirk, Jeff Tullos and Charlie Fulton.

Memorials may be made out to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund.

Mr. Tommy Cleveland Suttle, Jr.

Mr. Tommy Cleveland Suttle, Jr., 76, died Tuesday, June 8th, 2010, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, MS.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 P. M. Sunday, June 13th, at Porter Funeral Home.

Interment was in Betheden Cemetery.

Mr. Suttle was born June 18, 1933, in Starkville, MS. He served in the Military Police Regiment in the U. S. Army. He was a farmer and a supervisor at Spartus Corp.

He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Benita Collins Suttle; his parents, Dr. T. C. "Grover " and Minnie Suttle; a step-son, Russell Collins, and a brother, Byron Suttle.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Libby Collins; a step-son, Michael Collins; and other survivors cousins, Samuel Keith (Lisa) Suttle, Becky Suttle (Bill) Lowther, Pat Suttle (Mike) Fuller, Elane Duncan Quinton, and William Watson.

Memorials may be made to Grace Christian School, in care of Covenant Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.

Mrs. Eberlena Burrage

Funeral services for Mrs. Eberlena Burrage, 99, were held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Flonzell Wilson officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Noxubee County, Mrs. Burrage was a member of Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Burrage died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home.

Survivors include her son, Learthia Burrage of Saginaw, MI; two sisters, Willie Hayne of California and Mable Miller of Louisville; brother, Bennie Brook Sanders of Louisville; six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Williams and Herring Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bobby Sherrod Goss

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Sherrod Goss, 70, were held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville. Rev. Robert Jamison officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Goss was a retired coach and teacher at Noxapater High School. He was also a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church of Louisville. Mr. Goss died Saturday, June 25, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria V. Goss; two daughters, Sonja Fair of Starkville and Ravetta Goss of Jackson; six sisters, Sara Murphy of Greenville, AL, Barabra Miller of Seattle, WA, Lillian Miller Miles of Cleveland, OH, Lucendia Pugh of Huntsville, AL, Pauline Randolph of Huntsville, AL, and Mary Underwood of Memphis, TN; seven brothers, W. L. Hickman of Greenville, AL, Tommie Hickman of Greenville, AL, Carrie Lee Miller of Cleveland, OH, Leroy Miller of Cleveland Hights, OH, Lee Jr. Miller of Clarksville, TN, Archie Kirk of Chicago, IL, and Joe Nathan Kirk of Gary, IN; and two grandchildren.

Mr. James Ervin McAdory

Funeral services for Mr. James Ervin McAdory, 50, were held at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Porter Funeral Home of Louisville. Rev. Wayne Sanders officiated. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mr. McAdory was self-employed in the construction business. He was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. McAdory died Monday, June 27, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Bain McAdory of Union, MS; mother, Billie Hicks McAdory of Noxapater; two step-sons, Keith Crenshaw of Neshoba County and Tim Crenshaw of Neshoba County; one half-brother, Mike Flournoy of Moore, Oklahoma; and two step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Building Fund.

Mrs. Margaret Louise Guess

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Louise Guess, 88, were held at 1:30 P. M. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman. Rev. Randle Poss officiated. Burial followed in Providence Baptist Cemetery in Choctaw County.

A resident of Ackerman, Mrs. Guess was a homemaker and a member of Fentress Baptist Church. Mrs. Guess died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Survivors include her four sons, Williams L. Guess of Magee, MS, Curtis Guess of Ackerman, MS, Jerry Guess of Caledonia, MS, and Davie Guess of Union, MS; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Guess, Charles Martin, Milton Lester, Albert Mason, Daryl Guess, and Roger Kelley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Lee Norton, 92, were held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, July 3, 2005, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville. Rev. W. L. Hightower officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Winston County, Mrs. Norton was a retired school teacher and a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Norton died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at JRS and J Adult Care Center in Louisville.

Survivors include her brother, Cleavis Gladney of Chicago, IL.

Mr. Richard E. (Dick) Kimbrough

August 6, 2003

Services for Mr. Richard E. (Dick) Kimbrough, 76, were held at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, August 8, 2003 at the First Methodist Church in Louisville with Rev. Grady Bailey and Rev. Phil Gerber officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Kimbrough was born August 25, 1926 in Louisville. He was retired from the banking industry and a retired salesman for Schenly & Sazerac. He served in the U. S. Marines during World War II, and he participated in the assault on Okinawa, Shanghai, China, and the occupation of Japan. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Later, he graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Banking, and as a member of the First United Methodist Church, he was a past president of the Men's Club and a member of the Men's Choir.

Mr. Kimbrough died Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at the Winston County Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Bruce Kimbrough of Louisville; one daughter, Diane Hall LeSorda of Cummings, Georgia; four sons, Thomas W. Kimbrough of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Bruce Kimbrough of Gulf Port, James R. Kimbrough of Jamestown, North Carolina, and Sidney Allen Hall of Southaven; one sister, June K. Woodrupp of Louisville; one brother, Barry Kimbrough of Centennial, Col. ; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Kimbrough; one brother George T. Kimbrough; and his first wife, Martha Jane Earhart Kimbrough.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Children's Fund, FUMC, P. O. Box 523, Louisville, MS 39339.

Arrangements were made by Porter Funeral Home in Louisville.

Mrs. Elva Lou Dempsey Horton

August 2, 2003

Services for Mrs. Elva Lou Dempsey Horton, 91, were held at 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at the Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Howard Hathorn officiating and Rev. Rob Faulk assisting. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Louisville.

Mrs. Horton was born December 9, 1911 in Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

She died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at the Winston County Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Anne Romedy of Louisville and Jean Ford of Louisville; three sons, Donald Horton, Bobby Horton, and Dwight Horton all of Louisville; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Horton.

Pallbearers were, Joe Hill, Jimmy Horton, Vic Romedy, Brandon Simpson, Brady Simpson, Connor Romedy, Forrest Romedy and Hubert Dempsey.

Arrangements were made by Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home in Louisville.
