Mrs. Maggie Coalson

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Coalson, 81, were held at 11 a. m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at Noxapater Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin White and the Rev. Wayne Sanders officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater.

A resident of Noxapater, Mrs. Coalson was a retired worker for TRW and Louisville Garment. She was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. Mrs. Coalson died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Heard of Louisville; one sister, Billie Lynn Childs of Louisville; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Randy Childs, Joey Richardson, Ronald Stokes, Kevin Weeks, Allen Goodin and Lloyd Heard.

Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Betty June Worrell Lee

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty June Worrell Lee were held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of Ackerman, Mrs. Lee was a retired teacher with the Jefferson Davis Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She was a graduate of Ackerman High School, Holmes Junior College and Mississippi University for Women, achieving a bachelor's degree in business, and received her master's degree from Mississippi State University. She taught at Harrison Central High School before joining the faculty at the Jefferson Davis Campus of Gulf Coast Community College for 35 years, where she taught accounting and received the "Outstanding Teacher Award. " Mrs. Lee died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Bill Lee of Starkville.

Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Syble Alston

Mrs. Syble Alston, 77, of Macon died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Simmons

Funeral services Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Simmons, 87, were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Butler Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak. Brother Rayburn Druey and Brother Gerald Butler officiated. Burial followed in Mashulaville Cemetery in Noxubee County.

A native of Kemper County, Mrs. Simmons was a retired fire tower attendant for the Mississippi Forestry Commission and also worked at the Dairy Dream in Macon. She attended Butler Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Simmons died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Care Center of Louisville.

Survivors include two sisters, Louise Simmons of Macon and Lois Jasper of Oklahoma City, Okla. ; one brother, Pearson Myers of Oklahoma City, Okla., and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Central Academy, P. O. Box 231, Macon, MS 39341.

Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Frances Ferguson

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Ferguson, 71, were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. The Rev. Mike Ingram officiated. Burial followed in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston County.

A native of De Kalb and resident of Louisville, Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Ferguson died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at her home in Louisville.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Arthur Lee Steele III

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Lee Steel III, 20, were held at noon Saturday, May 8, 2004 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. . The Rev. Willie Matthews officiated. Burial followed in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Steele died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include one daughter, Aniyah J. Steele of Carthage; his mother, Dorothy A. Steele of Louisville; his father, Arthur Steele Jr. of Louisville, and two sisters, Shenicke W. Steele and Lebreece L. Steele, both of Louisville.

Williams and Herring Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Margie Lee Ray Hamill

Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Lee Ray Hamill, 71, were held at 11 a. m. Friday, May 7, 2004 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Starkville. The Rev. Kermit McGregor and the Rev. Wayne Sanders officiated. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Winston County.

A native of Longview and resident of Starkville, Mrs. Hamill was a retired branch manager for Deposit Guaranty National Bank. Mrs. Hamill died Monday, May 3, 2004 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

Survivors include her husband, James G. Hamill of Starkville; three daughters, Terri Hamill and Janet Carraway, both of Starkville, and Brenda Snyder of Jackson; one sister, Mary Jo Wallace of Starkville, and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 N. W. 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494 or to the organization of the donor's choice.

Welch Funeral Home of Starkville was in charge of arrangements.

Little Mykel (Altman) Paden

Graveside funeral services for Little Mykel (Altman) Paden, age one month, were held at 3 p. m. Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston County. The Rev. Van Buggs officiated.

Little was born March 30, 2004 at Oktibbeha County Hospital. He died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Survivors include his mother, Lakeish Paden of Ackerman, and his father, Joe Paden of Ackerman.

Williams and Herring Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roy Edward Sellers

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Edward Sellers, 67, were held at 11 a. m. Friday, May 7, 2004 at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. The Rev. Mike Allday officiated. Burial followed in Edgefield Cemetery in McCool.

A resident of Louisville, Mr. Sellers was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Sellers died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

Survivors include two sisters, Mamie Gordon of Louisville and Edna Blaine of Richland.

Pallbearers were David Blaine Jr., Fred Jones Jr., Nicky Simmons, Ralph Simmons, Rob Simmons and Danny Whitman.

Mrs. Irma Robinson Gladney

Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Robinson Gladney, 93, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. The Rev. Dave Elliott, the Rev. Eugene Dobbs and the Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

A native of Choctaw County and resident of Weir, Mrs. Gladney was a homemaker. She was a member of Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gladney died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at University Medical Center in Jackson.

Survivors include her caretakers, nephew Allie Gene King and Margaret King, both of Ackerman.

Memorials may be made to the Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, care of Mrs. Peggy Oswalt, Route 2 Box 75, Weir, MS 39772.

Mrs. Eula Azalee McIntire

Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Azalee McIntire, 90, were held at 3 p. m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at Weir Baptist Church. The Rev. Mark Mayo and the Rev. Jim Pender officiated. Burial followed in Weir City Cemetery.

A native of Choctaw County and resident of Ackerman, Mrs. McIntire was a homemaker. She was a member of Weir Baptist Church. Mrs. McIntire died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth McIntire and Jimmy McIntire, both of Brandon, Larry McIntire of Weir and Eddie McIntire of Cedar Bluff; one sister, Desiree Stacy of Ackerman; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Weir Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mrs. Lorene K. Hollis

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene K. Hollis, 92, will be held at 11 a. m. today at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy, Ala. Dr. Mallone Chandler officiated. Burial followed in Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

Mrs. Hollis died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy.

Survivors include one daughter, Angeline Pinckard of Montgomery, Ala. ; one sister, Gene Williams of Franklin, La. ; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Kelley, Edwin Meadows, Daves Nichols, Jim O'Neal, Kenneth Pinckard and Jerry Vinson. Honorary pallbearers were Durwood Kelley, David Holmes, Charles Norris and Ed Whaley.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy or the American Heart Association.

James "J.T." Fulgham

Mr. James "J.T." Fulgham, age 77 of Eupora, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora. Mr. Fulgham was retired from General Motor Company and was an Army Veteran and Member of the V. F. W.

Services were held Thursday at 2 p. m. on May 5, 2004 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora. Services were officiated by Rev. Jimmy Vance and interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Eupora.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Fulgham of Eupora; daughters, Donna Locke of Columbus, Wanda Harvey of Eupora, Cindy Garrad of Starkville; step daughters, Laura Peterson of Springfield, MO, Sally Kelly of Maben, Sherry Hodges of Maben; sons, Tommy Fulgham of Flint, Mich., Larry Fulgham of Eupora, James Fulgham of Eupora; step son, Joey Winfield of Maben; sister, Stella Fulgham of Yazoo City; brother Floyd Fulgham of Ackerman; 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Wise Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
