Mr. Eldon Duain Hunt, age 84, of Starkville died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at his residence in Starkville. Mr. Hunt was retired form National Bank of Commerce. He was a native of Ackerman and Veteran of World War II. Mr. Hunt was a member of First Baptist Church.
Services were held Monday, May 10, 2004 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel and interment in Center Grove Cemetery. Dr. Kermit McGregor and Bro. Clifton Curtis officiated the service. Memorials may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Fhayree Fulgham Hunt of Starkville; Daughters, Dianne H. Howell of Starkville, Allene H. Howell and Wade of Starkville, Mary Edna Carmichael and Dewitt of Starkville, son, Jim S. Hunt of Starkville, Sister Genece Hunt Nowell of Kosciusko, brothers, Jerry Hunt of Starkville, George B. Hunt of West Point, grandchildren, Jennifer, Wesley and Steven Howell, Karen and Sam Carmichael.
Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by brother James W. Hunt.

Mrs. Alice Katherine Draper McWhirter

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Katherine Draper McWhirter, 83, were held at 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at First United Methodist Church in Louisville, MS. Rev. Phil Gerber officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Choctaw County, Mrs. McWhirter was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Sarah Webb Sunday School Class, and a past member of the Junior Auxiliary. Mrs. McWhirter died on Sunday, June 27, 2004, at the Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Ward of Louisville; two sons, Bobby McWhirter and Jimmy McWhirter, both of Louisville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Draper, Mike Green, Roy King Humphries, Gus Jones, Jeff Kendrick, and John O'Kelly.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Rae Suttle and Mrs. Jeanette Suttle
Funeral services for Rae Suttle and his wife, Jeanette Suttle of Daytona Beach, were held at 1 p. m. on Friday at Westside Baptist Church. Rev. Robert DeCorah and the Rev. George Drago officiated. Burial followed at Shady Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Suttle, a retired cashier, was born in Toccoa, GA, and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1936 from her birthplace. She was a 1949 graduate of Seabreeze High School, and attended Stetson University, where she studied music. She played the piano for many area churches.
Mr. Suttle was born in Louisville, MS, and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1951 from his birthplace. He retired from the Eli Witt Company, and was employed at Oceans Resort as a courier.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Suttle were members of Samsula Baptist Church in New Smyrna Beach. Mrs. Suttle died Sunday at the Hospice Care Center. Mr. Suttle died Wednesday at Halifax Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Suttle would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Tuesday, June 22, 2004.
Survivors include their son, John Suttle of Merritt Island, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Suttle is also survived by his brother, Grady Suttle, and his sister, Annie Lou Arnold, both of Noxapater, MS.

Mrs. Minnie Mae Eaves

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Mae Eaves, 93, were held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Rev. James Lewis and Mr. Mark Eaves officiated. Burial followed at Ellison Ridge Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Mrs. Eaves was a homemaker, and a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church. She and her husband were houseparents at the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. Mrs. Eaves died on June 23, 2004 in the West Jefferson Medical Center in New Orleans.
Survivors include her two sons, Franklin D. Eaves of New Orleans, and Albert Wyane Eaves, Jr. ; her brother, Audrey Sellers of San Antonio, TX; five sisters, Maggie Lee Haggard of Louisville, MS, Avil Hill of Louisville, Gwen Burrell and Modean Moore, both of Slidell, LA, and Marvine Kelley of Pascagoula, MS; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A native of De Kalb, MS, Mrs. Grady was a homemaker. She was a member of Beulah M. B. Church in De Kalb, MS. Mrs. Grady died on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 in the Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS.
Survivors include her two sons, Russell Grady of Chicago, IL, and Marshall Spencer of De Kalb, MS; four daughters, Loola Bennomon of Chicago, IL, Mary Burton, Helen Lampkin, and Severa Roberts, all of De Kalb, MS; her brother, James Spencer of Chicago, IL; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren, sixty-five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A native of Louisville, MS, Mr. Coleman was a laborer. Mr. Coleman died on June 27, 2004, in the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Iva Lou Burchfield, 83, were held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at the Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, MS. Rev. Mike Skipper officiated. Burial followed at Doty Springs Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Burchfield was retired from the school cafeteria. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Louisville, MS. Mrs. Burchfield died on Friday, July 2, 2004, at the Winston Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn B. Weems of Louisville, MS; two sons, Otis Wayne Burchfield of Louisville, MS, and Larry Wade Burchfield of Kosciusko, MS; her sister, Lena Pearl Watts of Smackover, AR; her brother Doris Curtis of Meridian, MS; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

A native of Kemper County, Mr. Kirk served in the army. Mr. Kirk died on Friday, July 2, 2004 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Russell was a homemaker. She was a Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church of Louisville, and a volunteer at the Cornerstone Health Clinic. Mrs. Russell died on Friday, July 2, 2004, in her home in Louisville.
Survivors include her husband, James S. Russell; two daughters, Sherry Russell of St. Louis, and Lea Ann Russell Shappee of Tampa; her son Byron Russell of San Francisco; two sisters, Mary Kennedy and Marjorie Taylor, both of Louisville; and many other relatives and friends.

A native of Louisville, MS, Mrs. Clark was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Clark died on July 4, 2004 at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS.
Survivors include her two daughter, Marie Martin of Noxapater, MS, and Joyce Vickers of Sturgis, MS; her step-son, James Clark of Brighton, CO; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
