Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Junior Colton, 44, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 at Beck Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Elder James Young and the Rev. Mike Ingram officiated. Burial followed in Ruth Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Colton was a farmer with Moody's Farms. Mr. Colton died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at his home in Louisville.

Survivors include one son, Bennie Earl Colton of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Latrice Clark of Louisville; four sisters, Fannie Lane of Sturgis, Gladys Johnson of Preston, Betty Colton of Philadelphia and Glenda Riddle of Louisville; one brother, Jack Colton of Louisville, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dennis Hoskins, Robert Moody, Buddy Fulton, Larry Clark, Robert C. McDonald, Billy Moody, Jonathan Colton and Blake Fulton.

Beck Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Christine Warren Pickett

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Warren Pickett, 93, were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Joe Butler officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery in Winston County.

A resident of Louisville, Mrs. Pickett was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pickett died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include five daughters, Doris Lovorn, Abbie Smith, Betty Williamson and Gloria Wylie, all of Louisville, and Dorothy Green of Vancleave; four sons, Warren Pickett and Buddy Pickett, both of Louisville, Randolph Pickett of Laurel and Henry Pickett of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Randy Pickett, David Green, Tommy Green, Tommy Rawls, Mike Pickett and Scotty Williamson.

Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Minnie Nail Tullos

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Nail Tullos, 95, were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery near Chester.

A resident of Ackerman, Mrs. Tullos was a homemaker. She was a member of Ackerman United Methodist Church. Mrs. Tullos died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Tullos of Ackerman; two daughters, Mamie Trussell of Winona and Norma Long of Brandon; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Minnie B. Ming

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie B. Ming, 85, were held at 10:30 a. m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at New Zion Baptist Church in Weir. The Rev. Bob Mamrak and the Rev. James Sanders officiated. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of Winston County and resident of Ackerman, Ms. Ming was a homemaker. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Ms. Ming died Friday, November 26, 2004 in Kosciusko.

Survivors include one son, Plemon Ming of Ackerman; two daughters, Sharlene Bonner of Brandon and Clovis Fay Oakes of West; one brother, Richard Dawkins of Ackerman; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lessie H. Robbins

Funeral services for Mrs. Lessie H. Robbins, 64, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, December 4, 2004 at St. James Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Bishop Daniel Loving will officiate. Burial will follow in St. James Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker. She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Robbins died Friday, November 26, 2004 at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian.

Survivors include four daughters, Clementine Robbins and Sandra Robbins, both of Louisville, Patricia Faye Spears of Atlanta, Ga., and Katherine Hackett of Starkville; seven sons, J. C. Loving, Ferrish Hopkins, Daniel "Boone" Hanes, Johnny Robbins, Darrell Robbins and Tony Robbins, all of Louisville, and Beverly Matthew Robbins Jr. of Jackson; four sisters, Dorothy Brown and Lonnie V. Crosby, both of Chicago, Irene Hunter of Muskegon, Ill., and Pearl Johnson of Ft. Wayne, Ind. ; six brothers, Alvert Loving, Bishop Daniel Loving and John Loving, all of Albany, Ga., Melvin Loving of Douglas, Ga., 1st Sgt. (Ret. ) Jerome Loving of McDonough, Ga., and Robert Coburn of St. Louis, Mo., and 22 grandchildren.

Mr. Roy E. Rogers

Funeral services for Mr. Roy E. Rogers, 63, were held at 2 p. m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. The Rev. Rob Faulk officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville.

A resident of Louisville, Mr. Rogers was a steel hanger in the construction business. He was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. Mr. Rogers died Friday, November 26, 2004 at his home in Louisville.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie A. Rogers of Louisville; three sons, Thomas E. Rogers, Todd E. Rogers and Tim E. Rogers, all of Louisville; three sisters, Lois Harbison of Memphis, Tenn., Juanita Olsen of Hammond, Tenn., and Dot Papalambros of Louisville; three brothers, Frank Rogers and Buddy Rogers, both of Louisville, and Billy Rogers of Griffith, Tenn., and seven grandchildren.

Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gertrude Prewitt Hunt

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Prewitt Hunt, 94, were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Ackerman Church of Christ. Dan Beardin officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of Choctaw County and resident of Eupora, Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker. She was a member of Ackerman Church of Christ. Mrs. Hunt died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Beverly Healthcare in Eupora.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby P. Hunt of Madison, Coyt Hunt of Ackerman and Doyce Hunt of Olive Branch; two daughters Freitchie Hunt Booth and Eddie Hunt Busby, both of Eupora; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Ackerman Church of Christ.

Mr. Allie Gene King

Funeral services for Mr. Allie Gene King, 75, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. The Rev. Dave Elliott and the Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of Choctaw County and resident of Weir, Mr. King was a machinist. He was a member of Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Mr. King died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at his home in Weir.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret King of Weir; two daughters, Lesia Hughes and Peggy Oswalt, both of Ackerman; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Ackerman.

Mr. Levell Miller

Funeral services for Mr. Levell Miller, 76, were held at 1:00 P. M. Monday, October 17, 2005, at Wesley U. M. Church. Rev. David McCoy officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Garden Cemetery.

A native of Winston County, Mr. Miller was retired from Georgia Pacific Particle Board Plant and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was an honorably discharged Korean War veteran and received the combat infantry badge and five bronze service stars. Mr. Miller died Thursday, October 13, 2005, at the Winston County Nursing Home.

Survivors include his mother, Katie Miller of Louisville; four daughters, Mattie McKnight of South Bend, IN, Jennifer Hairston of Pascagoula, MS, Mary Madison of Naperville, IL, and Patsy Stratling of Pearl, MS; two sons, Charles Levell Miller of Salters, SC, and Williams C. Horne of Chicago, IL; three brothers; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Williams and Herring Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hardy Owen Gordon, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Hardy Owen Gordon, Sr., 81, were held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Dr. Owen Gordon, Jr., Dr. Prentiss Gordon, Sr., and Rev. Leslie "Bo" Mills officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery in McCool.

Mr. Gordon was a retired auto mechanic teacher in Ackerman, and he was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in McCool, MS. He was the State Commander of the Military Order Purple Heart Association, a member of V. F. W. 5569 in Ackerman and American Legion, a WWII Memorial Charter Member, and a past president of the Panhandle Community Club. Mr. Gordon died Monday, October 17, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Zane Kennedy Gordon of McCool; three daughters, Brenda Gordon Cagle of McCool, Ruby Gordon Reid of Ackerman, and Jennifer Gordon Kilgore of Ackerman; four sons, Owen Gordon, Jr., of De Kalb, James Gordon of Noxapater, Ralph Gordon of McCool, and Robert Gordon of LaGrange, TN; one sister, Hylma Gordon of Laurel; two brothers, Dr. Prentiss Gordon, Sr., of Starkville, and Harold Gordon, Sr., of Tupelo; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Erik Cagle, Jason Cagle, Tommy Cagle, Jamie Gordon, Joey Gordon, and Harold Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Taylor, Kenneth Whitmire, Prentiss Gordon, Jr., and Frank Morgan.

Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy.

Mrs. Lucille South

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille South, 82, were held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Baldwin-Lee Chapel in Jackson with graveside services at 2:00 P. M. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery near Louisville.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. South had lived in Louisville for 28 years and in Jackson for the past 37 years. Mrs. South was a former waitress, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden and crocheting. Mrs. South died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Central MS Medical Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Dewanna Shepherd of Leesville, LA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Jackson was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sezzie J. Parker

Funeral services for Mrs. Sezzie J. Parker, 67, were held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Mt. Ary M. B. Church in Philadelphia. Rev. Willie Young officiated. Burial followed in Dixon Cemetery.

A native of Neshoba County, Mrs. Parker was retired from Well Lamount Factory and was a member of Mt. Ary M. B. Church of Philadelphia. She was a member of Dixon Neighborhood Circle Club and was dedicated to Prairie Chapel in Philadelphia. Mrs. Parker died Monday, October 17, 2005, at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Survivors include her husband, I. J. Parker of Philadelphia; two daughters, Janet Floyd of Orlando, FL, and Lisa Thorton of Flint, MI; three sisters, Sue Lampley of Noxapater, Florence Moore of Philadelphia, and Pauline Smith of Mobile, AL; one brother, Cleo Lyons of Philadelphia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gennie Lee Triplett

Funeral services for Mrs. Gennie Lee Triplett, 67, were held at 1:00 P. M. Friday, October 21, 2005, at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ in Louisville. Rev. John Ball officiated. Burial followed in Union Chapel Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Triplett was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Church of God in Christ of Louisville. Mrs. Triplett died Monday, October 17, 2005, at the Winston County Nursing Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Miller of Louisville, and one step-daughter, Shante Triplet of Saginaw, MI; four sons, John Perry, Henry Perry, Derrick Perry, and Noriquita Perry, all of Louisville, and two step-sons, Tony Triplett of Atlanta, GA, and Bubba Triplett of Saginaw, MI; one sister, Frances Miller of Louisville; and many grandchildren.
