Funeral services for Mr. James Olyn Gregory, 84, were held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Lundy and Rev. Tommy Jones officiated. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Mr. Gregory was a farmer and a welder and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Gregory died Monday, July 3, 2006, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doard Bell Gregory of Louisville; two daughters, Sue Ann Wade of Union and Patty Webb of Hurley, MS; son, James Larry Gregory of Louisville; sister, Jewel Burrage of Louisville; brother, Charles W. Gregory of Louisville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Harry Nowell, Jerry Kemp, Bill Rogers, David Holder, Paul Russell, Terry Gregory, Jimmy Reed, and Lamar Parks.
Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Mr. Arnie Fulwiley

Funeral services for Mr. Arnie Fulwiley, 52, were held at 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at St. James Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Rev. Jerry Hinton officiated. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery.
A resident of Louisville, Mr. Fulwiley was a Laborer of Mississippi Valley Gas. He was also a member of St. James Presbyterian Church of Louisville.
Mr. Fulwiley died Wednesday, July 6, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS from cardiac arrest.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Doris Fulwiley; daughter, Latachie Frazier of Memphis TN. ; six sisters, Eva Mae Carter, Syble Hughes, Jerelean and Bonnie all of Louisville, Ms., Ruth Triplett of Louisiana and Sandra Hickman of Milwaukee, WI; three brothers, Armour Fulwiley of Chicago, IL, L. C. Wragg and Malcolm Wragg of Louisville, MS; three grandchildren; 5 stepchildren; 14 step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.

Miss Lunda LaShae Thompkins

Funeral services for Miss Lunda LaShae Thompkins, 28, were held at 2:00 p. m. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Reform Missionary Baptist Church in Reform, Ms. Rev. James A. Boyd officiated. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery of Louisville.
A resident of Ackerman, Miss Tompkins was a homemaker. She was also a member of Reform Missionary Baptist Church. Miss Tompkins died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms of cardiac arrest.
Survivors include her mother and father, William James & Annie Lee Miller; four brothers, William Jr. Miller of Jackson, Carlos Fair of Memphis TN, Jason Gatson of Duckhill, MS, and Alphons Cork of Ackerman; along with a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Whitney Layne Taylor, 20, were held at 10:00 a. m. Friday, July 14, 2006, at Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. Rev. Jerry Lawson and Rev. Danny Irvin officiated. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
A native of Ackerman, Ms. Taylor was disabled. Ms. Taylor died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
Survivors include her parents, John R. and Diane Rhodes Taylor of Ackerman; paternal grandmother, Inez Taylor of Ackerman; maternal grandparents, Pete and Dot Wear of Ackerman and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rhodes of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Chance Taylor of Ackerman; and two sisters, Leigh Taylor and Kerri Whittington, both of Ackerman.
Pallbearers were Don Porter, Sedgie Taylor, Ryan Bruce, Daniel Jackson, Kerry Lee, and Matt Henson.
Memorials may be made to the Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Youth Fund or to the Ackerman Baptist Church Youth Fund.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee Alexander, 93, were held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest. Dr. Leon Everett officiated. Burial followed in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Alexander died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Laird's Hospital in Union.
Mr. Alexander was a native of Scott County and a resident of Conehatta for the past 83 years prior to having lived in Montrose. He was a member of Conehatta Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nola Alexander of Conehatta; three daughters, Margie Bennett of Lake, Patsy Dunaway of Noxapater, and Sue Harrison of Conehatta; one son, Charleton Alexander of Union; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Alexander, Robert Bailey, Michael Kirk, Jason Gregg, Justin Parker, and Ricky Holland.

Mrs. Ola Belle Peterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Belle Peterson, 76, were held at 1:00 p. m. Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Bo Mills officiated. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery.
A native of Oktibbeha County, MS, Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker. She was also a member of Pugh's Mill Methodist Church. Mrs. Peterson died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Oktibbeha County Hospital.
Survivors include her three sons, Maxey Peterson, Danny Peterson, and Jimmy Peterson, all of Louisville; two sisters, Nell Pickle of Sturgis and Bert Ivy of Louisville; two brothers, James Odom of Mobile, AL, and Robert Odom of Starkville; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Niles Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Fletch Peterson, Brad Peterson, Brandt Peterson, Scott Peterson, Chris Peterson, and Raymond Dempsey.

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde B. Pettie, 77, were held Monday, July 17, 2006 at 11:00 a. m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Smith officiated. Burial was in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.
Mr. Pettie died Friday, July 14, 2006 at his residence in Winston County. He was born in Drew, MS and moved to the Four Corners Community early in life where he made his home for a number of years. He then moved to Peoria, IL where he retired after 35 years with Caterpillar Manufacturing Company. He moved back to Winston County in 1980 where he had made his home. Mr. Pettie was a member of Indian Springs Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Pettie of Philadelphia; two daughters, Judy Hollingsworth and Lisa Woods both of Philadelphia; one son, Jerry Pettie of Green Valley, IL; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leo Adcock of Philadelphia and Mary Murphy of Pascagoula; three brothers, Tommy Pettie of Rock Island, IL, Charles Pettie and Robert Pettie both of Kosciusko.
Pallbearers were Michael Woods, Brent Woods, Corey Pettie, Jeremy Woods, Jason Woods, and Nolan Burchfield.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora O'Nelle Coleman, 78, were held at 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman. Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
A resident of Ackerman, Mrs. Coleman was a retired nurse of 26 years at the Choctaw County Medical Center. She was also a member of Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. She and her husband, Bill, were married for 60 years. Mrs. Coleman died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
Survivors include her husband, William F. "Bill" Coleman, Sr. ; children, William F. "Billy" Coleman, Jr., Jerry Coleman, and Keith Coleman and wife Ann, all of Ackerman; brothers, Carl Bagwell and wife Pat, of Jackson, and Covis Bagwell of Marietta, GA; sisters, Danny Parker and husband Leo of Noxapater; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Creekmore was an insurance salesman for Bakers Life & Casualty. He attended Central Baptist Church of Douglasville, GA, and was a Mason. Mr. Creekmore died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Piedmont Hospital in Douglasville, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sue Creekmore of Douglasville, GA; two sons, Brad Creekmore and Ben Creekmore, both of Douglasville, GA; mother, Serita Creekmore Gentry of Louisville; sister, Alicia Burnes of Louisville; brother, Chris Creekmore of Meridian; and grandmother Laverne Gregory of Louisville.

A native of Calhoun County, MS, Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Treasurer and a member of the Usher Board. Mrs. Lee died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Lee of Eupora; two sons, Lamar Davis of Eupora and James Coffey of Greenville, MS; one sister, Mary McMullen of Eupora; two brothers, Cephus Hervey and Everette Hervey, both of Eupora; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. James "Jim" C. Price, 87, were held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, November 10, 2006, at the Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Lousiville. Rev. DeWayne Warren officiated. Burial followed in Noxapater Methodist Cemetery.
A native of Noxapater, Mr. Price was a retired engineer. He attended Noxapater United Methodist Church and served in the Marine Corp in WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Price died Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at the Winston Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Price of Noxapater; one son, James H. Price of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Hubert Edward Mayo, 76, were held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Louisville. Rev. Wayne Stockstill officiated. Burial followed in Shiloh Cemetery.
A native of Winston County, Mr. Mayo was a retired lineman for EMEPA. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Mayo died Thursday, November 9, 2006, at his home on Mayo Road.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Ball Mayo of Louisville; two sons, Edward Mayo of Louisville and Ray Hayes of Tuscaloosa, AL; two sisters, Myrtle Triplett of Louisville and Berlin Jones of Houston, TX; and four grandchildren.
