Senatobia -- Verner Lee Scott, 72, retired construction worker, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Hernando with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater has charge. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He leaves five daughters, Barbara Scott of Memphis, Peggy Scott of Chicago, Paula Overton of Rockford, Ill., and Patrica Scott and Phyllis Ramsey, both of Hernando; two sons, Milton Scott of Senatobia and Dennis Scott of Hernando, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Southaven -- Paul Elvin Fulgham, 64, former vice president of Memphis Plywood, died Wednesday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Ark., with burial in Luxora (Ark.) cemetery. He was a Baptist, a Mason and a member of Lodge 711 F&AM.; Mr. Fulgham, the husband of Tanya Fulgham, also leaves three daughters, Amy Copley of Mathiston, Michelle Hall of Southaven and Gina Gill of O'Fallon, Ill.; four sons, Scott Elwood of Memphis, Michael Razor of Conway, Ark., Jeffrey Razor of Overland Park, Kan., and Timothy Razor of Southaven; six sisters, Marzell Cobb of Hazelhurst, Agnes Vance of Calhoun City, Tince Fulgham of Eupora, Ruby Brown of West Point, Mildred Smith of Stewart and Cleo Hester of Walthall; a brother, Thomas Fulgham of Maben, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Southaven -- William T. Lester, 67, self-employed landscaper, died Tuesday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Nesbit with burial in Mount Olive cemetery there. Gillespie Funeral Home in Olive Branch has charge. Mr. Lester, the husband of Ruth E. Lester, also leaves two daughters, Brenda K. Jefferson and Angela Collier, and a son, William Lester Jr., all of Memphis; two stepdaughters, Dianne Duckworth of Memphis and Robbie Duckworth of Southaven; three sisters, Marietta Bridgeforth, Dora Richardson and Virgin Wright, all of Memphis; three brothers, Claudis Lester and Lawrence Lester, both of Memphis, and Robert Lester of Nesbit, and six grandchildren.

He leaves a daughter, Lynette Green of Chicago; two sisters, Gladys Irby and Mary Knighten, both of Dundee; a brother, R.D. Davis of Tunica, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Freeze, the widow of Billy Freeze, leaves a daughter, Jeanie Locke of Mississippi; three sons, Billy Freeze Jr. of Memphis, Danny Freeze of Independence and Keith Freeze of Mississippi, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Palestine Methodist Church.

Tilley, 87, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Blytheville, retired self-employed automobile mechanic, machinist and antique car restorer, died Thursday at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cobb Funeral Home with burial in Dogwood cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran, a 50-year member of Blytheville Masonic Lodge, a member of Oddfellows and the American Legion and attended Huffman Church of God. He leaves three sons, Jimmie Tilley of Glenallen, Mo., Dr. Everett Tilley of Perryville, Mo., and Dr. Wendell Tilley of Marked Tree, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Kidney Fund in Rockville, Md.

He was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran, state commander of the American Legion of Northeast Arkansas District Five, a member and former commander of American Legion Post 24 in Blytheville, vice president of County Veterans Service Officers Organization of Arkansas and Blytheville Kiwanis Club and a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 7057, Marine Corps League of Kennett, Mo., Blytheville Masonic Lodge, National Rifle Association and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, the University of South Carolina and Arkansas Northeastern College. Mr. Nelson, the husband of Shoko Nelson, also leaves a son, Jonathan Nelson of Tigard, Ore.; three sisters, Juanita Wallace of White Plains, Md., Patsy Britt of Huffman and Peggie Warren of Manila, and two brothers, Charles Nelson of Paragould and Richard Wayne Nelson of Ramona, Calif.
