Mrs. Walker, the wife of Rick Walker, also leaves a daughter, Marissa Lott Milam of Batesville; two sons, Joey Lott of Southaven and Mark Lott of Batesville; 10 sisters, Sandra Wood of Walnut, Linda Mills, Melissa Darby and Reba Polson, all of Courtland, and Nancy Ginn, Kathy Tribble, Betty Perry, Susan Cook, Helen Pitcock and Tina Woodard, all of Batesville; three brothers, Casey Darby of Batesville, and Phillip Darby Jr. and Nolan Darby, both of Courtland, and four grandchildren.

Clarksdale -- Maveline Ayrs Shaffer, 77, homemaker, died Saturday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Nowell Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Shaffer, the widow of William Floyd Shaffer, leaves a daughter, Wendy J. Hawkins of Clarksdale; four sons, Steven F. Shaffer of Nashville, Donnie R. Shaffer of Clarksdale, Ricky T. Shaffer of Russellville, Ark., and Jimmy Shaffer of Kosciusko, and six grandchildren.

Coldwater -- Mary Frances Harris, 83, homemaker, died Saturday at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia. Services will be at noon Thursday at Antioch No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Senatobia, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia has charge. Mrs. Harris, the widow of Cattrell Harris, leaves a daughter, Annette Jackson, and a son, Sherman Riley, both of Coldwater, and six grandchildren.

Horn Lake -- Jack 'John Walker' Craig, 74, retired Navy chief petty officer, died Sunday at Methodist South Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. He was a Korean War veteran, communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for 41 years, and former secretary for Frayser Masonic Lodge 747. Mr. Craig, the husband of Alma Annette Craig for 46 years, also leaves a son, Willis Walker Craig of Horn Lake, and four brothers, Virgie Lee Walker of Somerville, Tenn., Pete Walker of Atoka, Tenn., Joe Walker of Arlington, Tenn., and Doak Walker of Munford, Tenn. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Nesbit -- Howard L. 'Buddy' Moore, 75, formerly of McDonough, Ga., retired from the old defense depot in Memphis, died Sunday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough with burial in Sharon Baptist Church cemetery there. Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch has local charge. He was a Navy veteran. Mr. Moore, the husband of Wincie Moore for 50 years, also leaves two daughters, Kathy Moore Phillips of Olive Branch and Karen Moore of Nesbit; two sons, Kenneth Moore and Michael Moore, both of Nesbit; two sisters, Dorothy M. Miller and Peggy M. Patterson, both of McDonough, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Hickman, the husband of Leila Joy Burcham Hickman for 59 years, also leaves a daughter, Quida Ross, and two sons, Barry Hickman and Michael Hickman, all of Corinth; a sister, Margaret Pearson of Palestine, Texas; a brother, Talmadge Hickman of Corinth, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and member of Audubon Baptist Church in Memphis.
