Oxford -- Garner Hull DeVoe, 71, retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waller Funeral Home with burial in Oxford Memorial cemetery. He was a Vietnam War veteran, a communicant and eucharistic minister at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer for Clayton Stevens Outreach Ministry and Meals on Wheels. Mr. DeVoe, the husband of Frances Louise Bassi DeVoe, also leaves a daughter, Toni Lynn DeVoe of Highland Village, Texas; two sons, Richard L. DeVoe of Oxford and John Garner DeVoe of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, James A. DeVoe of Richmond, Va., and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund or Clayton Stevens Outreach Ministry.

Rienzi -- J.L. Spivey, 64, died Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth with burial in Lowery cemetery. He was a Baptist. Mr. Spivey, the husband of Betty Shirline Hopper Spivey, also leaves a daughter, Regina Jeter, and two sons, Jimmy Lee Spivey and Tim Spivey, all of Rienzi; two sisters, Vickey Hopper of Corinth and Linda Mayo of Arkabutla; four brothers, J.T. Spivey of Victoria, Larkin Spivey of Senatobia, Larry Spivey of Sardis and John Wayne Spivey of Red Banks, and five grandchildren.

Batesville -- Robert Lee Campbell, 68, farmer, died Tuesday at Tri-Lakes Medical Center. He leaves four daughters, Jennifer Caldwell and Diane Smith, both of Como, Karen Milan of Chicago and Bessie King of Senatobia; three sons, Robert Lee Milan of Como, Albert King of Sardis and Billy W. Batesville -- Travis Lewis Tramel, 72, retired truck driver for Dunlap & Kyle after 44 years, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Clarksdale -- Leler Mae Chadwick, 85, homemaker, died Thursday at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at National Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Clarksdale First United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Chadwick, the widow of J.W. Chadwick, leaves five daughters, Gracie Dismuke of Sheffield, Ala., Minnie Jefcoat of West Helena, Ark., Brenda Thomas and Pam Thomas, both of Saucier, and Diane Jones of Cleveland; a son, Wendell Chadwick of Mississippi, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Wall Hill Church of Christ. Mrs. Newson, the wife of Robert L. Newson, also leaves six daughters, Addie Mae Newson of Memphis, Bessie Mae Albarez, Dorothy Jones, Marie Rucker and Annie Newson, all of Chicago, and Irene Bell of Coldwater; four sons, Robert Newson Jr. and Willie Newson, both of Chicago, and Jessie Newson and Kenneth Newson, both of Memphis, 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bourland, the widower of Etonia Bourland, leaves two daughters, Barbara Lozart of Hernando and Sarah Davis of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sons, Robert Lamar Bourland of Rosemark, Tenn., and Al Bourland of Senatobia; two sisters, Bonnie Jane Griffith of Dadeville, Ala., and Flora Askew of Port Arthur, Texas, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
