Horn Lake -- Shirley D. Parsons, 61, retired factory worker for Berkhart Foam in Cairo, Ill., died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at noon Saturday at Belmount Missionary Baptist Church in Tunica with burial in Shady Grove cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home in Tunica has charge. She leaves two daughters, Jacqueline Wilkins of Tunica and Patricia Wilkins of Horn Lake; four sons, Tony Wilkins of Olive Branch, Bryan Wilkins of Elaine, Ark., and Willie Wilkins Jr. and James Wilkins, both of Tunica; a sister, Ida Mae Ard of Evansville, Ind., 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Oxford -- Lawrence G. Joiner, 63, retired custodian, died Saturday at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harrisonville Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Hodges Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Joiner, the widower of Eva Joiner, leaves two daughters, Janice Richardson and Dorothy Baker, both of Montgomery, Ala.; a sister Juanita Terrell, and a brother, Earnest D. Joiner, both of Oxford, and two grandchildren.

Oxford -- Andrew Mitchell, 50, former food preparation worker for Sigma Nu fraternity, died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Cypress Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Hodges Funeral Home has charge. He leaves two sons, Anthony Mitchell of Oxford and Lamar Pegues of Memphis, and three sisters, Carolyn Mitchell of Taylor, and Dorothy Boston and Mary Lockhart, both of Chicago.

Walnut -- Christopher Zane Holley, 40, died Monday at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Oakland Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Holley of Purvis; his mother, Linda Knox of California; a sister, Scarlet Holley of Wiggins; a brother, Zack Holley of Purvis, and his grandparents, Vida Holley of Walnut and Betty Jo Smith of Waveland.

Byhalia -- Elizabeth Lee Rozzell, 75, formerly of Memphis, retired from Methodist Healthcare, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Hill cemetery East. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. Mrs. Rozzell, the widow of Clarence E. Rozzell, leaves two daughters, Pat Johnson of Salem, Ore., and Pam Young of Byhalia; a sister, Rose Chadwick of Germantown, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Hernando -- Boyd E. Logan, 76, retired store manager for Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home with burial in Hernando Memorial Park. He was a member of Hernando Baptist Church. Mr. Logan, the husband of Jimmie Waldrop Logan, also leaves three daughters, Terri Trest of Farmington Hills, Mich., Donna Harper of Hernando and Gina Kestler of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Boyd Logan Jr. of Hernando; a sister, Louise Tallant of Memphis, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Horn Lake -- Margaret Lindsey, 81, former owner of Lindsey Collierville TV, died Friday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. She was former president of Parkway Village Neighborhood Watch and member of Eudora Baptist Church. Mrs. Lindsey, the widow of Harold Lindsey, leaves a daughter, Tommie L. Hobbs of Horn Lake; a son, James P. Corum of Memphis, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to A&E; Hospice in Olive Branch.

Lake Cormorant -- Jim Mayfield, 81, former owner of Mayfield Garbage Service, employee of Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando and retired minister, died Friday in Walls. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hinds Chapel United Methodist Church in Horn Lake, where he was the former pastor, with burial in the church cemetery. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Horn Lake Mason lodge and DeSoto County Planning Commission, former Boy Scout leader and graduate of Arkansas State University. Mr. Mayfield, the widower of Martha Virginia Mayfield, leaves four daughters, Katherine Wilburn of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Barbara Brady of Horn Lake, Bonnie Townsend of Memphis and Beverly Estes of Ashland; four sons, Barry Mayfield of Willis, Texas, Berl Mayfield of Franklin, Tenn., Buddy Mayfield of Lake Cormorant and Butch Mayfield of Eudora, Miss.; a sister, Vivian Babb of Toone, Tenn.; two brothers, Marvin Mayfield of Leonard, Texas, and Kenneth Mayfield of Midlothian, Texas, 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Hinds Chapel United Methodist Church building fund.

He was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a Mason, volunteer at Memphis Veterans Medical Center, and member of Southaven Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Wahabi Shrine. He was a World War II Army veteran, and member of Looxahoma Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. West, the husband of Lillian Golden West, also leaves two sons, Freddy L. West and Michael West, both of Senatobia, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Southaven -- John Tate 'Booger Red' Morris, 84, retired switchman for Illinois Central Railroad, died Friday at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Morris, the husband of Ruth E. Morris, also leaves three sons, Michael Shears of Franklin, Tenn., John Morris of Hernando and Phil Morris of Southaven; a sister, Adelaide Andrews, and two brothers, Robert Morris and William B. Morris, all of Memphis, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
