McPeters Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Palmer, the wife of David M. Palmer, also leaves two daughters, Pamela P. Houchins of Jackson and Penny P. Long of Corinth; a son, Pat Palmer of Corinth; her mother, Louie W. Green of Fort Payne, Ala., and six grandchildren.

Holly Springs -- Tryphenia McKinnon, 84, retired from Holly Springs Health Department, died Monday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Chapel CME Church, where she was an usher board member, with burial in Cottrell Memorial Gardens. Serenity Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Holly Springs Federation Club and American Legion Post 25. She leaves two daughters, Hazel Ivory of Palm Bay, Fla., and Odella McKinnon of Memphis; two sons, Anthony McKinnon of Holly Springs and Lincoln McKinnon of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Mahlon Mims of Chicago, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Osborn, the widow of Spencer Arnold Osborn, leaves three daughters, Mary Alice Bankston of Victoria, Texas, Frances Ann Collier of Olive Branch and Martha Sue Booker of Southaven; a son, Robert Kenneth Osborn of Carrollton, Texas; three sisters, Bea Barnes of Memphis, Doris Smith of The Woodlands, Texas, and Ellen Davis of Hamilton; a brother, John Paul Adair of Brandon, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Olive Branch First Baptist Church.

Oxford -- Juanita Gaines Smith, 91, formerly of Hernando and New Orleans, homemaker and former housemother for Chi Omega Sorority, died Sunday at Wesley Woods Hospital in Atlanta. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oxford-University United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member, with burial in Oxford Memorial cemetery. Waller Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of PEO I Chapter and the Browning Club and attended Ole Miss. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Robert Cecil Smith, leaves two daughters, Diane Smith McDowell of Atlanta and Sharon Smith Huff of Monroe, La., seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Oxford-University United Methodist Church.

Ripley -- William D. LaBarreare, 62, retired engineer for Missouri-Pacific Railroad, died Tuesday at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo. He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran, a Baptist and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. LaBarreare, the husband of Sylvia Scott LaBarreare, also leaves two stepsons, Robert Scott Williams of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Jason Williams of Mountain Home, Ark.; a sister, Holly Akins of Ripley, and five stepgrandchildren.
