Family Funeral Care in Memphis had charge. Mr. Brotherton leaves his wife of 21 years, Judith Brotherton; a son, Jason R. Brotherton of Ingrams Mill; his parents, O. E. and Emma Lee Brotherton of Memphis, and a sister, Frances Gaines of Olive Branch. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

CALVIN DEWITT BROWN, 86, of Olive Branch, retired mechanic for Roadway Express, died May 28 at his home. Services were held June 1 at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. Mr. Brown, the widower of Ruby Kennum Brown, leaves two daughters, Colleen Brown Early of Olive Branch and Patty G. Quinn of Memphis; two sons, Calvin V. Brown of Bartlett, Tenn., and Larry H. Brown of Collierville, Tenn.; seven sisters, Otis Davis, Jewell Potts, Lavonia Lafrain, Annie Grace Martin and Mary Jo Alexander, all of New Albany, Novella Foster of Potts Camp and Jean Everett of Memphis; a brother, Pete Brown of New Albany, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Hospice Homecare in Oxford.

He leaves his mother, Gigi Phillips of Germantown; his father and stepmother, Roy and Cheryl Campbell of Olive Branch; a sister, Christy Shaffer of Cordova; two brothers, Andy Anderson of Olive Branch and Jeremy Anderson of Southaven, and his grandparents, Billy and Frances Campbell of Olive Branch. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Getwell Road United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Willie Coffee, 88, of Lake Cormorant, retired from the Corps of Engineers, died May 30 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services were held June 6 at Lake Cormorant Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home in Hernando hadcharge. He leaves four daughters, Emma Nelson of Chicago, Lillie Baggett of Horn Lake, Rosie Miles of West Memphis and Reddie Miles of Southaven; three sons, W. C. Miles and James Gill, both of Walls, and Robert Gill of Lake Cormorant; a sister, Kattie Banks of Indianapolis, 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Gerald Phillip Conlee, 64, of Eudora, retired from Coors Brewery, died May 31 at his home. Services were held June 2 at Hernando Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater. Mr. Conlee, the husband of Louise Conlee, also leaves two sons, David Conlee of Houston, Texas, and Darin Conlee of Hernando; two sisters, Janet McGovern and Shelia Northan, both of Memphis, and a grandchild.

He was a Korean War veteran, a member of White Station Baptist Church and Cotton Row Alumni Association and a graduate of Humes High School. Mr. Cowan leaves his wife, Grace Kennedy Cowan; four daughters, Gloria Williams, Betty Collins and Glenda Mills, all of Olive Branch, and Cindy Buck of Germantown; a sister, Grace Barcroft of Memphis; a brother, James B. Cowan of Hanford, Calif., and nine grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to White Station Baptist Church.

Mr. Hargett leaves his wife, Lottie Ruth Hargett; two daughters, Carole Rhodes of Horn Lake and Brenda Torrence of Lakeland; two sons, Bennie M. Hargett Jr. of O’Fallon, Ill., and Albert J. Hargett of Southaven; a sister, Alice McGill of Tampa, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Mr. Harwell leaves his wife of 51 years, Harriet L. Harwell; a daughter, Barbara Gail Robinson of Arlington; a son, Ernest M. Harwell of Millington; three sisters, Icy Brown of Memphis, Shirley Davis of Hernando and Luci Roberts of Round Rock, Texas; three brothers, Clarence Harwell of Cordova, Roy Harwell of Olive Branch and James Harwell of Hickory Withe, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
