Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Magdalene Mayo Johnson, 83, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, MS.
Rev. Jay Murphy officiated.
Burial followed in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a retired nurses aid.
She was also a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson died July 18, 2010 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include: one son, Larry L. Johnson of Narco, LA; one sister, Marjorie Lewis of Louisville; one brother, Cecil Jenning of Louisville and two grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery Fund.
Nowell-Massey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
Mr. George Leander Brown

Funeral services for Mr. George Leander Brown, 31, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 12 at Meridian Church of Christ.
Brother Davis officiated.
Burial followed at St. Matthew cemetery.
A native of Lauderdale County Mr. Brown was a Flight Controls Technician.
Mr. Brown died Tuesday, July 6 in Warner Robins, GA.
Survivors include mother Freddie Lifsey of Wichita, KS, sisters Anita Williams of Atlanta, GA, Theatrice Foxx and Ashley Brown both of Meridian, Kimberly Clawson of Wichita, KS, brothers Jimmie Fox and Eric Brown both of Atlanta, GA, Michael Tingla of Cerrito, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Williams, Herring and Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ruth Justice

Graveside Services for Mrs. Ruth Justice, 83, were held at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Park cemetery in Louisville.
Rev. Bobby Joe Butler officiated.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Justice was a retired nurse.
She was also a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Justice died Friday, July 9 at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home.
Survivors include 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 sister, 1 brother, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Mrs. Arthusia Cunningham

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthusia Cunningham were held at 1 p.m. on July 14, 2010 at Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Rev. Charles Kelly and Rev. Jerry Hinton officiated.
Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Cunningham was retired from the Spartus Corporation of Louisville.
She was also a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cunningham died Thursday July 8, 2010 at the Regency Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.
Survivors include daughters, Evelyn C. Thigpen of Holly Springs, Alexis C. Yarbrough of Raleigh, and Janice C. Bridges, of Prentiss; three sons, Cortez Cunningham of Memphis, TN, Carter Cunningham of Louisville and Anthony Cunningham of Philadelphia, MS, two brothers; Phenous Carter and James Curtis Triplett of Louisville; three sister-in-laws.
She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Olean McBride

Olean McBride 85, of Eupora, passed away on Wednesday July 14, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Mrs. McBride was born
on February 1, 1925.
She is survived by one son, William "Bill" McBride, Jr. of Blue Springs, and one brother, James B. Goines of Niceville, FL., 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs. McBride is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday July 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Services were Friday July 16 at 11 a.m. at Wise Chapel with Bro. Roger Miller and Bro. Franklin Lowe officiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Moriah cemetery in Webster Co.
Music will be provided by Bro. Tim Hudson.
Pallbearers include Joe McBride, George McBride, Scott McBride, Wes Grissom, Larry Lott, and Willie Lott.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy McBride, Stephen Loague, and Van Johnson.
Wise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Martha Walters Williams

Martha Walters Williams of Reno, Nevada passed away July 11, 2010.
She was born
May 10, 1938, in Cleveland, MS to Wilton and Lera Walters.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Jones and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC and their children, Jessica and Brandon, brother Mabus Walters a of Bossier City, LA and two nieces.
She was a graduate of Ackerman High School and Mississippi College and taught school for many years.

Mr. Henry died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home in Mathiston.
Funeral services for Mr. Owenton J. Henry, 88, were held on July 18, at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Revs. Don Parish, Andy Parish, Chance Parish and Ralph Cain officiated.
Burial followed in Fellowship cemetery in Choctaw County.
A resident of Mathiston, Mr. Henry was a retired employee of Babcock and Wilcox.
He was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Jent, Janice Chesser and Sonja Parish.
His sisters are Otis Dorsey, Willene Harper, Mary McClain, Annice Breland and Maudie Young.
His brothers are Rudolph Henry, Burl Henry and Glen Henry.
He has seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Trey Chesser, Andy Parish, Josiah Parish, Chance Parish, Cory Parish and Jeth Looney.
Honorary pallbearer was Dennis Dobbs.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Johnson, 78, were held July 17, at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church.
Bro. Derrick Wilson and Bro. Mike Stowell officiated.
Burial followed in Spring Valley Baptist Church cemetery in Mathiston.
A resident of Matiston, Mr. Johnson was a logger.
He was also a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Mr Johnson died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his residence in Mathiston.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Kelly Johnson, his daughter Betty Jane Mann, his two sons Travis Eugene Johnson, and Rickey Dale Johnson.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Lorene Andrews and Mavis Watts; his two brothers, J.M. Johnson and James K. Johnson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rickey and Stacey Johnson, Keith Mann, Sammy Bowie, Richard Lucas and Mike Moore.

Funeral services for Mr. William Mirah McCarty, 88, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 15, 2010 at Providence Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS.
Rev. Randle Poss and Rev. Curtis Guess officiated.
Burial followed in Providence Baptist cemetery in Ackerman.
A resident of Ackerman, Mr. McCarty was retired from the MS Department of Transportation.
He was also a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He also served in the US army during World War II.
Mr. McCarty died July 13, 2010 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
Survivors include Mary E. McCarty, their daughter Nancy Cook and 2 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church.
