Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Alexander Hendrix, 84, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus.
Bro. Tim Williams, Bro. Doug Bedgood and Bro. Ralph Windle officiated.
Burial followed in Friendship cemetery in Columbus.
A Baldwyn native, Mr. Hendrix was employed by Continental Trailways Bus Lines, California Eastern Ariways of Mission, Texas, and Tennessee Valley Authority's Brown's Ferry Nuclear Power Plant in Athens, Ala. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks Club and Lions Club. Mr. Hendrix died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Stanley Hendrix of Columbus; two sons, Joe Hendrix Jr. of Vicksburg and Perry Hendrix of Columbus; one sister, Martha Sue Price of Oxen Hill, Md., and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joey Hendrix, Jeff Hendrix, Scott hendrix, Steve Hendrix, Gene Childs, Ashley Kuhn, Richard Saddler, Chris Childs and Bryan Childs.
Honorary pallbearers were Clayton Whitlock, James McNees, Lamar Harper, Miles Prater, Dow Phillips, Ned Barnette, Buster Luke, T.A. Caldwell, Buford Doughty, Tony Torrez, Shaden Whitten, Bill Arinder, Don Miller, Charlie Johnson, Joe Page, Ed Riley, Thomas McCrary, Bud Rowley, Jim Brown, Frank Ray, Billy Reeves, Buddy Shelton, Charles House, Dr. Brad Brown and Dr. Barton Williams.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Gatlin, 89, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman. The Rev. George Buell and the Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in South Union Methodist Church cemetery in Ackerman.
A native of Mississippi, Mrs. Gatlin was a retired nurse and a member of South Union Methodist Church in Ackerman. Mrs. Gatlin died Friday, October 31, 2003 at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
Survivors include two sons, Terry gatlin of Ackerman and Billy Gatlin of Braxton; one daughter, Onie Johns of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to South Union Methodist Church in Ackerman.

Funeral services for Mr. Joel A. Carter, 41, were held at 2 p..m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Ackerman United Methodist Church in Ackerman. The Rev. George Buell officiated. Burial followed in Enon cemetery in Choctaw County.
A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Carter was a resident of Ackerman and am X-ray/lab technician. He was a member of Ackeman United Methodist Church. Mr. Carter died Sunday, November 2, 2003 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Survivors include his wife, Tracie M. Carter of Ackerman; two sons, Jake Carter and Logan Carter, both of Ackerman; one daughter, Leanna Carter of Ackerman; his father, James Carter of Ackerman; his mother, Reva Jean Carter of Ackerman; two brothers, Jim Carter of Ackerman and John Carter of Florida and one sister, Judy Henning of Ackerman.

A native of Winston County, Mrs. Lynch died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Survivors include one sister, Jennie Hayens; five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Dodd was a laborer and a member of Little Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Dodd died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at his residence in Louisville.
Survivors include four sisters, Ruby Lagrone, Lue Reather Lewis, Patricia Dodd and Kezia Wraggs, all of Louisville, and one brother, George Dodd of Ethel.

A native of Kemper County, Mr. Evans died Monday, February 2, 2004 in Detroit, Mich.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Brown was a child care operator and a member of Higher Ground Worship Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Murfreesboro Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Mottley, Patricia Crowe and Paulette Horlback, all of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two sons, Kirby Graham of Evanston, Ill., and Finess Brown of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; five sisters, Annie Carter, Polly Triplett, Fay Moore and Gloria Carter, all of Louisville, and Imogene Atkins of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Prentiss Graham, Evan Graham and Tony Graham, all of Louisville, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Pat Watson, 91, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. The Rev. Arthur Story officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park cemetery in Louisville.
A native of Louisville, Mr. Watson was employed with Taylor Machine Works for 35 years, where he was head of the parts and service department. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army in the Philippines and the occupation of Japan. Mr. Watson had been a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville since he was 12 years old. He played the clarinet and saxophone and was a licensed pilot who enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading. Mr. Watson died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at the Mississippi State Veterans' Home in Kosciusko.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen McKinnon Watson of Louisville; one daughter, June Woodruff of Coral Springs, Fla.; one son, George Watson of Louisville; one sister, Ruth Carter of Columbus; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Master Pratt died shortly after birth Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Survivors include his mother, Khrist Davis of Eupora; father, Rickie Pratt of Eupora; five sisters, Calandra Gill of Norfolk, Va., Alyssa Tims of Ackerman and Lacey, Pier and Peaches, all of Georgia, and five brothers, Reginald Pratt of Texas and Rickie Tims, Lewis Tims, Avant Tims and Rickie Jamall Pratt, all of Ackerman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jean Hardin, 56, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Salem Independent Methodist Church in Ackerman. The Rev. Tim Long officiated. Burial followed in Crape Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Memphis and resident of Stewart, Mrs. Hardin was a cafeteria worker at Ackerman Elementary School. She was a member of Salem Independent Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardin died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. J.E. Stewart of Stewart; two sons, John Ingram of Weir and Patrick Hardin of Houston; three daughters, Leslie Stevenson of McCool, Angela Hunt of Weir and Jennifer Smith of Columbus and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mr. John Kellis Puckett

Funeral services for Mr. John Kellis Puckett, 85, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2004 at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. The Rev. Rob Faulk and the Rev. Tommy Cherry officiated. Burial followed in Ellison Ridge Baptist Church cemetery in Winston County.
A resident of Louisville, Mr. Puckett was the retired manager of King's Auto and Appliance. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served for 20 years, including tours of duty during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Puckett was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church, where he was a past deacon, and the Winstonville Masonic Lodge. Mr. Puckett died Friday, February 6, 2004 at Winston County Nursing Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Palmer of Louisville; four sons, Steve Puckett and Jim Puckett, both of Louisville, Joe Puckett of Philadelphia and John Puckett, Jr. of Birmingham, Ala.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Rogers, Boyd Allen, Bennie Mac Joiner, Aaron Puckett, Daniel Puckett, Mike Fuller and Dee Luke Wright.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Reaves Stokes, 81, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2004 at Vernon Assembly of God Church.
Burial followed in Vernon Assembly of God Church.
A resident of Louisville, Mrs. Stokes was a homemaker. She was a member of Vernon Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Stokes died Saturday, February 7, 2004 at River Regional Health Systems in Vicksburg.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Livingston of Vicksburg, Betty Pecanty of Vidalia, La., and Becky Hatcher of Rolling Fork; one son, Milton Stokes of Greenville, Tenn.; one sister, Mamie Clark of Louisville; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dr. Michael Baker, Dwight Baker, Robert Stokes, Darin Pecanty, Robert Monk and Joe Irvin.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. R. Lee Griffin, the Roberson family, the staff of River Region Health Services - Vicksburg, Trace Haven Nursing Home and Mission Primary Care Staff.
