BENNETT, LINDA "TOOTSIE", 83, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Health Center at Standifer in Chattanooga, TN. Services were held Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Lake Forest Church of Christ in Walls, with burial at Forest Hill South Cemetery. Forest Hill South Funeral Home had charge. She was the oldest surviving charter member of Lake Forest Church of Christ. Her husband, Arthur Bennett, preceded her in death. She leaves her four sons, Robert Bennett of Edmond, OK, Steve Bennett of Ooltewah, TN, Les Bennett of College Station, TX, and Tom Bennett of Walls, her sister, Vera O'Bryant of East Point, GA, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Lake Forest Church of Christ.

Brown
BROWN, JOY COLLINS, 74, homemaker, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at her home. Services were held Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with burial in Parkburg Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson, Tenn. Additional services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Parkburg Baptist Church in Jackson. Mrs. Brown, the wife of Rev. John Thomas Brown for 57 years, also leaves a daughter, Linda Brown DeBerry of Olive Branch; a sister, Patsy Collins Moore of Jackson, and a grandson. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Nesbit First Baptist Church of Alzheimer's Association.

COOK, NILA JO, 65, retired bookkeeper for Bic Services, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services were held Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. She was a member of Southaven Community Church. Mrs. Cook, the widow of Billy E. Cook, leaves three daughters, Ginny Sewell of Senatobia, Suzanne Strode of McAllister, Okla., and Barbie Brasfield of Collierville, Tenn.; a son, Bill Cook Jr., and her mother, Massey King, both of Southaven, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Southaven Community Church Building Fund.

Coopwood
COOPWOOD, CHRISTINE FORT, 87, homemaker, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home with burial in Center Hill Cemetery. She was a member of Collierville Church of Christ. Mrs. Coopwood, the widow of Thomas H. Coopwood, leaves four daughters, Janice Richardson of Gaffney, S.C., Nita Sue Cape of Cordele, Ga., Kathey James of Olive Branch and Connie Henley of Hernando; three sons, Jimmy Coopwood of Atoka, Tenn., Tommy Coopwood of Olive Branch and James Wade 'Bubba' Coopwood of Byhalia; four sisters, Emma Martins of Heber Springs, Ark., Aleen Richards of Cordova, Lottie Greer of Black Rock, Ark., and Mary Wall of Hernnado, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Gospel Broadcasting Network in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Cox
COX, KEVIN TYLER, 11, son of Lynn and Georgiana Cox, sixth-grade student at Olive Branch Middle School, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at his home. Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial at 1 p.m. in Liberty United Methodist Cemetery in Ashland, Miss. He also leaves a brother, Ryan Cox of Olive Branch; his grandmother, Elizabeth Clegg of Escondido, Calif., and his stepgrandmother, Hazel Cox of Potts Camp. FLAGG, BUDD V., 83, died from heart failure Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Baptist East Hospital. Services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Brantley-Philips Funeral Home, who had charge, with burial at Hernando Memorial Park. He was a Baptist and a retired employee of Borg-Warner in Blytheville, Ark. He leaves his wife, Wanda Jo Flagg, of Hernando, his daughter, Pamela G. Mahony of Madison, his son, Dewayne Flagg of Hernando, and three grandchildren.

HARPER, THOMAS JOSEPH, 35, of Memphis, employee of Papa John's Pizza, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services were held Friday, April 1, 2005, at Longstreet United Methodist Church. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. He leaves a son, Robert Dalton Harper of Horn Lake; his mother, Alice Ann Montgomery of Memphis; two sisters, Cathy Carr of Southaven and Rose Manos of Columbia, S.C., and two brothers, R.J. Harper of Pebble Beach, Calif., and Bruce Pettengill of Memphis. The family requests that any memorials be sent to DeSoto Storm Baseball Team or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

HOLDEN, DANIELLE NICOLE, 20, died in a car accident Thursday, March 31, 2005. Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Hernando Funeral Home, who had charge. She was a graduate of Hernando High School and an employee at Huey's Restaurant. She leaves her parents, Janet Holden and Eddie Mangum, both of Hernando, her brother, Chad Mangum, and sister, Melissa Holden, both of Hernando, and her grandmother, Mary Holden of Olive Branch.

KAETZ, LORA COSBY, 87, retired interior decorator for Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Friday, April 1, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Valhalla Cemetery in Bessemer, Ala. Brantley Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Olive Branch First Baptist Church. Mrs. Kaetz, the widow of James Robert Kaetz, leaves three daughters, Laura Greth of Memphis, Margaret Belote of Lancaster, Texas, and Nancy Billingsley of Byhalia; a sister, Edna Alosi, and three brothers, John Cosby, Paul Cosby and Charles Cosby, all of Alabama, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.

Logan
LOGAN, ANITA CAROL, 55, homemaker, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She will be cremated. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando has charge. Mrs. Logan, the wife of Jerry Logan, also leaves two daughters, Gerrie Lynn Mount and Janet Logan, both of Mississippi; a son, Rod Robinson of Fort Worth, Texas; her mother, Jennie Robinson of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Jackie Craddock of Houston, Martha Ballard of Texas and Janice Logan of Mississippi; a brother, Alvin Smith of California, and three grandchildren.

MAYS, CLARENCE, 92, farmer, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at his home. Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Byhalia with burial in the church cemetery. Gillespie Funeral Home in Olive Branch has charge. Mr. Mays, the husband of Enos Mays, also leaves six daughters, Ruthie Lee Davis of Olive Branch, Gussie Dean and Henrietta Newson, both of Byhalia, Luevenia Harris and Earlean Burton, both of Coldwater, and Virginia Hill of Tupelo; three sons, Clarence Mays Jr., George Mays and Eddie Mays, all of Coldwater; two stepdaughters, Lucille Fant of New York City and Minnie Pearl Rogers of Memphis; a stepson, Chester Fant of New York City; a sister, Ethel Shipp of Coldwater, 47 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

MCCARTY, MARGARET LEOITA, 77, retired seamstress for General Cleaners, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at her home. Services were held Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis. Mrs. McCarty, the widow of Harold McCarty, leaves a daughter, Barbara McCarty of Southaven; a son, Donald E. McCarty of Horn Lake; two sisters, Estelle Swift of Hayti, Mo., and Ollie Whitaker of St. Louis, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

McNaughton
MCNAUGHTON, APRIL SCHMITT, 31, homemaker and real estate agent for Century 21, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at her home. Services were held Friday, April 1, 2005, at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Lebanon Cemetery in Lewisburg, Miss. Twin Oaks Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. McNaughton, the wife of Patrick McNaughton, also leaves a daughter, Emma Katherine McNaughton, and two sons, Jaxson David McNaughton and Benjamin Patrick McNaughton, all of Southaven; her mother and stepfather, Konnie Rhoda and Grant Belfoure of Memphis; her father and stepmother, Bill and Brenda Schmitt of Horn Lake; a sister, Ginger Schmitt of Southaven; two stepsisters, Heather Koczka of Southaven and Debbie Belfoure Lacey of Memphis; two stepbrothers, Jeffrey Belfoure of Dallas and Brenty Delo of Nesbit, and her grandparents, Connie and Olin Rhoda of Southaven. Melton of Nesbit, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

PARKER, PAUL 'MIKE', 46, retired from the Navy, died Thursday, March 24, 2005. Services were held Friday, April 1, 2005, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Independence, Miss. T.H. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of B.A.S.S. Federation, Fishers of Men and Southwestern Tennessee Bass Club. Mr. Parker, the husband of Brenda Parker, also leaves two daughters, Samantha Parker and Elizabeth Parker, both of Southaven; three sons, Ryan Burke of Cincinnati, and Robert Parker and Ethan Parker, both of Southaven; a brother, James Parker of Fort Worth, Texas, and 2 grandchildren. RABURN, WENDY HARBISON, 49, formerly of Memphis, registered nurse and bone marrow transplant coordinator for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at her home. Services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of Central Church. Mrs. Raburn, the wife of Steve D. Raburn, also leaves two daughters, Morgan Virginia Raburn and Meagan Kathanne Deeb, and a son, Madison Lee Raburn, all of Horn Lake; her mother, Kathaline Harbison of Memphis, and two sisters, Debra Kay Harbison of Memphis and Tammy Fay Houghton of Cumming, Ga. She was choir director of Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bartlett and member of American Guild of Organists. Mrs. Ramsey, the widow of Rev. Dr. Carl M. Ramsey, leaves a daughter, Gayla Sutton of Hernando; a son, David Ramsey of Memphis; a sister, Charlene Turner of Springfield, Ill., and a grandson. Mrs. Williams, the widow of Thomas E. Williams, leaves a daughter, F.W. Chip Jermyn of Olive Branch; two sons, Dan Williams of Olive Branch and Tracy F. Williams of Germantown; two sisters, Becky Sims of Bluffton, S.C., and Ruth Reynolds of Collierville, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
