WRIGHT, BRENDA F., 41, of Olive Branch, died at Baptist Memorial Hospital, East on Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Mrs. Wright was co-owner of Clay and Wright Insurance, Inc., past president of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce, member of the Mississippi Independent Insurance Agents Association, member of the United Methodist Church and was an active supporter of Desoto Central Athletics. She is survived by her husband, David A. Wright; two sons, David Alan Wright, Jr. and John Tyler Wright all of Olive Branch; one sister, Linda Frankl of Columbus, Ohio; 2 brothers, Glenn Dale Freeman, Jr. of Memphis and Darrell E. Freeman of Cordova; her mother, Charline Freeman of Memphis; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Friday, August 12, 2005 at the Getwell Rd. United Methodist Church. Funeral services were Saturday, August 1, at the church with burial followed in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alan and Tyler Wright educational fund that has been set up for her sons at any Bancorp South location or to the Getwell Rd. United Methodist Church Youth Program.

Bougard
BOUGARD, VIRGE, 86. Services were held Monday, August 29, 2005 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Southwoods, Memphis. Mr. Bougard, the husband of Lurlene Bougard, also leaves six daughters, Mary Vann of Memphis, Mattie Freeman, Nadine Bougard, Janit M. Woods, Aretha Woods and Sherry Cloyton, all of Olive Branch; two sons, Eddie Ray Bougard and Jimmy Ray Bougard, both of Olive Branch; a sister, Josephine Marble of Memphis, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Collier
COLLIER, BILLY W., 70, died August 23, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. He was a retired employee of Fact-O-Bake as an auto upholster. He leaves a loving wife, Ruby C. Collier, 2 daughters, Darlene Collier of Dayton, OH and Deborah Collier of Knoxville, TN; 2 sons; Dwayne Collier of San Diego, CA and Daniel Collier of Knoxville, TN; 1 sister, Ann Caldwell of Horn Lake, MS; 2 brothers, Charles Collier and David Collier both of Memphis, TN. Services were held Saturday, August 27, with entombment in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Emerson
EMERSON, JAMES WILSON, 81, of Memphis, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005, at his home. He was a retired truck driver of Alcoa Company and worked for Wharton Transport for 25 years, also served in the Navy in World War II. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Horn Lake, MS. Mr. Emerson, beloved husband of Nalma Emerson of 63 years. Beloved father of one son John Allen Emerson, wife Mary, three daughters, Linda Kay Thomas, husband Jack, Glenda Faye James and Judy Carol Shettles, husband Danny. Beloved grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Birdie and Harvey Emerson, one sister, Martha Smith, three brothers, Wes, Georgie and Joe Emerson, also one granddaughter, four grandsons, one great grand daughter and one great grandson. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch, MS, with interment at Macks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Dresden, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Horn Lake, MS.

Hageman
HAGEMAN, PATSY "HARLENE", 65, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Methodist University Hospital. Services were held Thursday Aug 25. Mrs. Hageman was a Registered Nurse from Methodist Hospital One Day Surgery unit. She leaves her husband of 35 years, Vic Hageman and 1 son, Jason Hageman of Southaven. 2 sisters, Jan Willis of Duck Hill, MS and Kimberly Timbs of Winona, MS. 1 brother, Kelly Willfond of Duck Hill, MS. The family request memorials to be sent to Christ The King Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Marshall
MARSHALL, PRUITT BROCK, one month old son of Jason and Jennifer (Brock) Marshall of Chatham, IL, died on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at his home. He is also survived by one brother, Peyton Marshall; one sister, Presley Marshall, both of Chatham, IL; his grandparents, Wayne and Susan Marshall of Olive Branch, MS and Eddie and Sandra Brock of Montpelier, MS; and his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Devon Bell of Memphis, Hugh Curry of Houston, MS and Marvin 'Shorty' Brock of Montpelier, MS. Services were held Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Longview Heights Baptist Church. Interment was in Blocker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be sent to Chatham Baptist Church, 1500 E. Walnut, Chatham, IL 62629.

Marshall

Shannon
SHANNON, REV. JAMES T., 69, passed August 23, 2005 at his residence in Nesbit. He was pastor of Greer Chapel AME Church, 1480 Ash St. and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation was held Monday, August 29, 2005, and burial Tuesday Aug. 30, at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Shannon's pastorial duties included Jones Chapel in Arlington, and St. Mark in Munford, TN. His ministry extended beyond the pulpit through his civic and community service in the Douglas Community. He was a member of the Ministerial Alliance; St. Patrick's Board of Directors, NAACP and often served as an Annual Conference delegate. His devotion to his ministry made him a favorite among his peers. He provided not only guidance and leadership for his congregation, but provided opportunities for ministers to share their calling. He leaves his wife, Florence J. Shannon, 3 daughters, Yvette Davis, Andrea Corke, both of Nashville, TN, and Beverly Guy of Memphis; 3 sons, Carlos Shannon, Darryle Shannon and Bryon Shannon, all of Memphis; 3 brothers, James C. Shannon of Nashville, TN, Henry Shannon of Millington and Aaron Shannon of Memphis; 2 sisters, Julia Mae Webb and Birbie B. Noble, both of Memphis; 2 sons-in-law, Woody Davis and Samuel Corke, both of Nashville, TN; 1 daughter-in-law, Tammy Shannon of Memphis; 5 sisters-in-law, Ruby Ranger, Dorothy L. Johnson, Clara Shannon, all of Memphis, Paulett Shannon of Millington and Jean Shannon of Nashville, TN; 4 brothers-in-law, William B. Johnson, Extra Webb, Eddie Noble and Jimmy L. Johnson, all of Memphis, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.

Thornell
THORNELL, TAMMIE ANDERSON, 27, homemaker, died August 22, 2005 at her home. Services were held Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Michael Thornell; one sister, Phaedra Velasquez of Kingsville, TX; two brothers, Brandon Anderson and Bubba Anderson, both of Horn Lake; her father, Roland Anderson of Horn Lake; her grandmother, Norma Anderson of Byhalia, MS; two nieces, Alyssa and Tatiana Velasques, and a nephew, Jace Velasques.

White
WHITE, RUTH A., 85, of Walls, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 21, 2005, surrounded by her family. Ms White, the widow of Wallace L. White leaves 4 children, Jimmy Roberts of Southaven, MS, Opie Houston of Austin, TX, Ray Roberts of Kalamazoo, MI and Diane Snider of Prescott Valley, AZ; she also leaves 3 sisters, Clara Martin and Ruby Baker of Paragould, AR, Cora Lee Lambert of Las Vegas, NV, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Services were held Friday Aug. 26, at Forest Hill South Chapel. The family request that any memorials be sent to Methodist Alliance Hospice.

Williams
WILLIAMS, CARL ANDRA, 41, custodian for Northwest Community College, died August 24, 2005 at his home. Services were held Saturday, August 27, 2005 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Southwoods, Memphis. He leaves his parents, Woodrow Williams and Virginia Williams of Olive Branch; a brother, Larone Williams of Senatobia, MS; a sister-in-law, Sonja Williams of Senatobia, and a niece, Porsha Williams.

Wilson
WILSON, EMILY LUDMILA KUTUZOV, died Saturday, August 27, 2005 at St. Francis, after a long illness. Mila was born a Russian Princess and lived an enriched life full of history. She traveled the world as a stewardess and married her husband, James "Hap" Wilson, a pilot, in Cairo, Egypt in 1947. Mila settled in Wilson Mill as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother where she leaves a legacy of love, faithfulness, and honor. Services were held Tuesday, August 30, at 10 a.m. at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando, MS, burial at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Horn Lake, MS. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Hap Wilson, of Lake Cormorant; her 3 children, Bill Wilson of London, England, Carol Sides Childress of Memphis, and Virginia Brown of Lake Cormorant; 9 grandchildren, Chris Brown, Derick Brown, Paul Brown, Rebecca Chadwick, Emily Frayser, Holly Ford, Amy Scott, Mark Wilson and Hillary Hunt and 6 great-grandchildren.

Baxter
BAXTER, CHARLYNE P. 77, died on Monday, September 5, 2005. She was a loving wife and mother who cared for all and was loved by all. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kurt Reich, and 2 grandchildren, Robert and Lauren Reich of Divide, CO. Mrs. Baxter also leaves 2 sisters, Exie Greer of Olive Branch and Christine Paul of Sarasota, FL. She was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church. Visitation was Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services were held Friday, September 9, 2005 at Broadway Baptist Church with interment in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.

CARROLL, CYNTHIA MARIE 44. Services were held Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Pate-Jones Funeral Home, Senatobia.

Craigen
CRAIGEN, SALLIE 47, former employee of Kawneer in Hernando, died September 3, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Services were Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Second Baptist Church, Hernando. She leaves two sons, Harold Williams Jr. of Horn Lake and Darrell Williams of Hernando; her mother, Thelma Craigen of Hernando; three sisters, Linda Phillip, Carolyn Brownlee and Loris Jones, all of Hernando; six brothers, Thomas Craigen of Memphis, U.Z. Craigen Jr. of Nesbit, Clyde Craigen of Hernando, Warnia Craigen of Memphis, Charles Craigen and Gregory Craigen of Hernando, and four grandchildren. Burial in Greenview Cemetery in Nesbit.

Heaberlin
HEABERLIN, EVAN DWAINE 51, of Southaven, MS, died Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Services were held in Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS. Services in Memphis are as follows: Visitation at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 13. Visitation was held at Wright & Ferguson on High St. on Wednesday, September 14, with a Funeral service at Wright & Ferguson Chapel on High St. on Thursday, September 15 at 2pm with burial immediately following at Lakewood Cemetery on Clinton Blvd. Dwaine was raised in Jackson, MS where he graduated from Wingfield High School, and Mississippi College. Dwaine eventually settled in Southaven, MS and began his career with the Memphis Police Department. Lt Heaberlin retired in 2005 after 26 years of dedicated service. Dwaine is survived by his wife, Cheryl Houston Heaberlin, formerly of Jackson, MS; brother, Conley Heaberlin of Philadelphia, PA; children, Nikki and Stefan Heaberlin of Walls, MS; stepchildren, Jason Sims, Shannon Zimmerman and Ryan Sims; and 3 grandchildren.

Miller
MILLER, BRENNAN B. 'BRO' 85, Services were held Saturday Sept. 10, 2005, at Maple Memorial United Methodist Church.

McClain
McCLAIN, NANCY JUNE FULLER 75, widow of C.L. 'Bill' McClain, died September 5, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. She was a retired daycare provider in Hernando and a member of Longstreet United Methodist Church in Memphis. She is survived by her five children, Van McClain of Cordova, Phil McClain of Hernando, Sheila Harper of Memphis, Bart McClain of Nesbit and Bryan McClain of San Antonio, TX, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Virginia Williams of Memphis, Frances Pulliam of Cave Spring, GA, and William 'Bill' Fuller of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Fuller of Powder Springs, GA. Visitation was held Thursday, September 8th and services were held at Longstreet United Methodist Church on Friday, September 9th. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Longstreet United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.

MORSE, LILLIE BLANCHE 98. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005 at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Mantachie, MS.
