SKIPPER, OTIS, 76, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at his home. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Skipper, the husband of Eunive Skipper, also leaves three daughters, Marcia Carrington of Hendersonville, TN, Lynn Trudell of Livonia, MI, and Kim Cozart of Nesbit; a son, Otis Skipper, Jr. of Hernando; a brother, Billy Skipper of Denham Springs, LA; two sisters, Inez McCall of Marietta, GA and Etta B. Granger of Altha, FL; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with burial in Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Arrangements by Brantley Funeral Home.

WILLIAMSON, BILLY DOYLE, 64, retired from Smith Engineering, died May 28, 2006 at his home. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 with services at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1 at Hernando Funeral Home and burial in Forest Hill South. Mr. Williamson was a member of the Whitehaven Church of the Nazarene. He leaves his wife, Lucille Williamson of Hernando; two daughters, Michelle Dukes of Southaven, and Lisa Stewart of Hernando; a son, Mike Morrison of Germantown; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. AGEE, LORI BRANSCUM, 43 died Wednesday, June 10, 2006 in Olive Branch. .Visitation was from 12-2 p.m., June 14, with funeral services following at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. She leaves two sons, Taylor Agee of Memphis, Lucas Haygood of Counce, TN; mother, Faye McCanless Bullington of Savannah; father, Curtis Branscum, of Southaven; sisters, Lisa Rooker of Counce, Stephanie Branscum of Memphis; brothers, Frank Branscum of Trafford, AL, Scott Branscum of Seattle, WA; and grandmother, Jean Trieschman of Blytheville, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Haygood; stepfather, Barry Bullington and grandparents, Gladys and Bo McCanless and Millis Branscum. Arrangements by Twin Oaks Funeral Home.

DANIELS, BRENDA GAY, 53, of Memphis, homemaker, died June 4, 2006 at her home. Visitation was June 7 from 5-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with service following on Thursday June 8, at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando, MS. and burial in Edmondson Cemetery in Southaven, MS. Mrs. Daniels was of the Pentecostal faith. She leaves her husband, William E. Daniels; two daughters, Mary Colquitt of Dover, AR, and Katrina Williams of Cordova; two sons, Robon E. Daniels and William R. Daniels, both of Memphis; a sister, Joann May of Bartlett; two brothers, Donald Riley off Memphis and Johnny Riley of Bartlett; 12 grandchildren, Jeanna, Sara, Amanda, Samantha, Robyn, Ray, Jordan, Paige, Jackalyn, Kelsie, Jonathan and Breanna. Arrangements by Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home.

GARRETT, MILLICENT "Millie", 82, died Friday, June 9, 2006 at her residence. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Memorial Park Cemetery. She was a member of Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake, MS. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene G. Garrett. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Berryhill of Southaven; a son, Wayne Garrett of Horn Lake; a sister, Nancy Garrett of Cherokee Village, AR; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Any memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Hernando Funeral Home.

GRAY, ZACHARY SEAN AUSTIN, of Southaven, MS, was stillborn June 5, 2006. He leaves his mother and father, Zachary Sean Gray and Amanda Richelle Romansik; Grandparents, Regina and Randy Ramey Sr., David Wallis, Ruth Gray; Uncles, Justin Romansik, James Romansik and Randy Ramey Jr.; Aunts, Erica Wallis, Daylynn Wallis, Stephanie Ramey and Jessica Ramey.. KNOWLES, BOBBY, 73, died June 7, 2006. He was a truck driver for Gordon's Transports, an Army Reserve Veteran and attended East Hill Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN. He is survived by his wife Joyce Knowles; daughters Teresa Nance of Memphis, TN, Angie Chittom of Collierville, TN., Joy Heath of Cartersville, GA.; sons Eddie Knowles of Hernando, MS., and Robin Knowles of Lakeland, TN.; one sister Joanne Corral of Riverside, CA.; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 10:30 Tuesday, June 13, at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Arrangments by Twin Oaks Funeral Home.

ROFFMAN, MARJORIE, 74 died June 7, 2006. She attended Carriage Hills Baptist Church and was a member of Briarwood Horse Club. Mrs. Roffman is survived by her husband of 39 years, Abe Roffman of Southaven; three daughters, Linda Stanley of Frazier, TN., Barbara Oates of Socorro, NM., Bonnie Crowley of Daphne, AL.; three sons, Larry and Doug Bynum of Southaven, MS., Clyde Bynum of Senatobia, MS.; two sisters, Shirley Eidson of Omaha, AR., Dorothy Windham of New Albany, MS., five brothers, Capt. Jimmy Wright of El Paso, TX., Neal Wright of Sikeston, MO., Merle Wright of Pensacola, FL., Charles Wright of Blue Mountain, MS., Col. Bill Forehand of Nashville, TN.; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Roffman. TREADWAY, KENNETH RUSSELL, 65, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 in his home. He was a retired dairy farmer and member of Cockrum United Methodist Church. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday with burial in Cockrum Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Clements and Angela Sanders; five sons, Russ, Andy, Tom, Casey and Sam Treadway; his mother, Virgie Treadway; two brothers, Jerry and Terry Treadway; and five grandchildren. WHITE, JIMMY RAY, 52, mechanic for Yellow Freight, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Regional Medical Center. Services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 9 at Hernando Funeral Home with burial in Eudora Cemetery. He was a member of Eudora Presbyterian Church; member of Teamsters Local 667. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna White; a son, Brian White of Eudora, MS; mother, Mamie White of Eudora, MS. He is also survived by one sister, Sissie Ferguson of Lake Cormorant; a brother, Ronnie White of Eudora, MS; and one grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Cleveland White, and a brother, Bilbo White. Any memorials may be made to the Eudora Presbyterian or Trinity Baptist of Eudora, MS. WINGATE, CYRUS L., SR., 84, died June 5, 2006 at his home in Hernando. Cy was born on January 30, 1922 in Warsaw, MO. As a young boy his family moved to Los Angeles, CA, where in later years he attended City College of Los Angeles. He left City College to join the Army air Corps during WW2 where he became a pilot. He met his wife of 57 years, Emma Lynn Ferguson Stewart while in the Army Air Corps. Cy and Emma made their home in Hernando after they married in 1948. Cy was a member and past president of the Hernando Rotary Club and he was also a former Alderman for the city of Hernando. Cy was also a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Hernando. Cy was part owner of Stewart Chevrolet Company until 1969. He became an agent for the Equitable Life Insurance Company of New York in 1970 until his retirement in 1987. Cy is predeceased by his wife, Emma and is survived by his two sons, Cyrus L. "Jay" Wingate, Jr. of Hernando and Newton Stewart Wingate of Memphis; a grandson, Hayden Stewart Wingate; five granddaughters, Leslie Dianna Wingate Boag, Amy Christine Wingate, Laura Kathleen Wingate, Olivia Brooks Wingate, Olivia Shirey Wingate; and a great grandson, Ethan Alexander Wingate. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8 at Hernando Memorial Cemetery in Hernando. Arrangements by Hernando Funeral Home.

CRUMP -- Pamela Akiko Helton Crump, Olive Branch, 38, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, wife, sister and aunt, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Funeral services were held September 30, 2006 at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch, with interment in Blocker Cemetery. Visitation was held September 29, 2006. Pam was full of life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, and she was a devoted homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Randy Crump; children Christopher Moore, Sabrina and Katie Crump; granddaughter, Marissa Moore; parents, Jim and Mary Helton; sisters Carlene Davis and Cindy Denney; brothers, Jimbo and George Helton; brother-in-law Billy Denney; sister-in-law Tracy Helton; nieces Kristi Davis, Brittany and Brooke Denney, Haley and Allison Helton; nephews Brandon Rhodes, Casey Davis and Brad Helton; and other family and friends too numerous to count. Pam was a wonderful person who touched so many lives outside our family and she will always be remembered as doing so. We love you and we will miss your forever.

BARBOUR -- Walter Anthony Barbour Jr., 24, Ingram's Mill, passed away September 26, 2006. He attended Barton Baptist Church. Mr. Barbour, the husband of Alicia Barbour, also leaves a son, Collyn Anthony Barbour; his parents, Walter and Sandra Barbour; grandparents Nell Barbour and Walter Barbour; sister, Amber B. Greer and her husband, John Robert Greer; and a nephew, Colt Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katherine and Earl Abston. Visitation was held September 29 at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch, and services were held Saturday, September 30, at the funeral home with interment in Byhalia Cemetery. The family requested memorials to Barton Baptist Church.

IRBY -- Amanda Jo Warren Irby, 46, Southaven, died Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. She was born June 30, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, and was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church in Southaven where she was a Sunday school teacher, an active leader, and the founder of the St. Timothy Cancer Support Group. Visitation was held Tuesday, October 3, at St. Timothy Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, at the church. Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven has charge of the arrangements. She is survived by three sons, Benjamin Adam Irby, Matthew James Irby, and Joshua Ryan Irby; one daughter, Sarah Jane Irby, all of Olive Branch, MS; her parents, Norman and Joyce Warren of Madison, Miss.; one brother, Kim Warren of Bentley, Michigan; one sister, Gay Meredith Warren of Yazoo City, Miss., and her friend, George Sawyer of Memphis. LANE -- Shirley Deloris Lane, 80, Hernando, homemaker, died September 29, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East. Service was held Monday, October 2, 2006, at Hernando Funeral Home, where family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 1. Interment, Forest Hill South Cemetery. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, V. L. Lane, and son, Donald L. Lane. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Charles M. and Linda L. Abernathy, Hernando, and sister, Marie Foster, Horn Lake, and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

LOCKE -- Edith P. Locke, 77, Southaven, passed away September 25, 2006, at her home. She was a member of Minor Memorial Methodist Church. Mrs. Locke, the widow of Tommy E. Locke, leaves her daughters, Brenda Gail Cottle, and her husband, Gary, and Janet D. Thompson and her husband, Tommy; her grandchildren, Tonya Mantay, Kristina Peters, Melisssa Wall, Rachel Green and Thomas Thomson Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, "Baby." Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Hospice Ministries.

MILAM -- Georgia Anderson Milam, 87, Hernando, homemaker, died September 28, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East. Services were held at 3 p.m. October 1, 2006, at Hernando Funeral Home, where the family received friends on Sept. 30. Interment, Bakers Chapel Cemetery. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hernando as well as Colonial Dames 17th Century. She was preceded in death by husband, Tom H. Milan, and is survived by son, Tom C. Milam of Hernando; brother, Wayne Anderson of Hernando; and granddaughter, Melissa M. Wright, Malvern, Ark.

PADEN - Ruby N. Paden, 72, Hernando, died suddenly Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. A beloved member of the Hernando community where she actively served in the Hernando Baptist church for 40 years. She was also the treasurer of the DeSoto Baptist Association and was a retired office manager for 35 years with the Hernando Boneless Beef Co. Mrs. Paden is survived by her husband of 20 years, Paul R. Paden; six children, Sheila Dye, Susan Patrick and her husband, Jonathan, and Pamela Burks; Richard Paden and his wife Valerie; Dennis Paden and his wife Rosemary; and Larry Huey and his wife Melissa. She is also survived by one sister, Helen Vansickle, and one brother, Wallace White; 14 grandchildren: Amy Coombs, Presleigh and Ashleigh Paden, Rachel Bain, Madison, Meredith, Olivia, William Daniel and Jonathan Huey, Tracy Thomas, Amanda Cervetti, Allison and Adam Burks and three great-grandchildren, Alexandria Cervetti, and Savannah and Austin Coombs. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at Hernando Baptist Church and at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 4. Services were held at noon on Wednesday at the church with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hernando Baptist Church Building Fund, (662) 429-6361. SCOTT -- Jimmy B. Scott, 63, Hernando. Employed by DeSoto County maintenance and retired from Dover Elevator, died September 30, 2006, at his home. Service was held October 3, 2006, at HFH chapel, where family received friends Monday, October 1, 2006. Interment, Grays Creek Cemetery. He was a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Dialtha Scott, and brother, the late Billy Wayne Scott. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Scott, Hernando, and son, Tracy Scott of Hernando and daughter-in-law Jennifer Scott; sisters Janie Cook, Hernando, and Mary Hardin, Hernando; and grandchildren, Brandon and Benjamin Scott, both of Hernando. Arrangements by Hernando Funeral Home.

SUGG -- Edgar H. Sugg Jr., 75, formerly of Mephis and Dyersburg, Tenn., passed away Thursday, September 26, 2006, at his home after a 2 1/2-year battle with cancer. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Hernando Funeral Home. Visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, Hernando Memorial Cemetery. Ed was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Gideons International and Hernando Hills Country Club. He served as a deacon for a number of years and was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy, Southwestern College and Southern University College of Law. He served for two years in the U.S. Army and practiced law in Memphis, Tenn., for 31 years before retiring in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sherry Hood Sugg; one son, Edgar H. (Keri) Sugg III of Stocktown, Calif.; two daughters, Marcie Estes of Orange Beach, Ala., and Amy (Eric) Rutledge of Charlotte, N.C.; two stepchildren, Sandy Morgan of Memphis and Matt (Angie) Morgan of Sykesville, Md.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar H. Sugg Sr., and Celeste Rhea Sugg, and two sisters, Shirley O'Neill and Celeste Vaughn. He had a great love for Gideons International and the family requested that any memorials be made to that organization. Arrangements by the Hernando Funeral Home.

TWITCHELL -- B.J. Twitchell, 59, policeman for the City of Horn Lake for 19 years, died Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. He was a Marine Corps veteran, attended Colonial Hills Baptist Church, was the instructor for the National Safety Council-Lifesaver for the state of Mississippi. He also worked as security for Ryans-Fire Mountain Restaurant in Horn Lake. Visitation was held Monday, October 2, from 6-9 p.m. at Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Southaven. Services were held Tuesday, October 3, at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Margaret Twitchel of Horn Lake; three sons, Joey Twitchel of Horn Lake, Jason "Red" Twitchel of Horn Lake, and Dusty Austin of Southaven; two brothers, Bill Twitchel of Tyler, Texas, and Bob Twitchel of St. Louis; one sister, Betty Taylor of Lee Summit, Mo.; and two grandchildren. Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven had charge of the arrangements.

COCKLIN - Dan Cocklin, 58, Olive Branch, died September 30, 2006, at Baptist DeSoto. Memorial services were held at Southcrest Baptist Church, Southaven. He was a CPA. He is survived by daughters Melanie Colbert, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Heather Cocklin, Southaven; Cassie Nieto, Yuma, Ariz.; Kari Allen, Byhalia, and two sons, Brian Cocklin, Olive Branch, and Troy Cocklin, Norfolk, Va.; and father, Dale Cocklin, Alaska. Mr. Cocklin was a Baptist.
